By the time they reached mid-mountain, the civilians had already been evacuated, but a tall figure dressed in military green and a tiny one were sitting there, not having left.

"I won't. Sister promised when she comes down from the mountain she'll come to see me," the little girl stubbornly said.
"Uncle has already sent someone to check the mountain, and there's simply nobody there," He Bing said with some helplessness. He didn't want to shatter her hopes, but apart from the bottomless cliffs, there truly was nobody on the mountain. Waiting meaninglessly like this was pointless.
"Sister promised me, I believe in sister," the little girl said, looking at He Bing with a serious expression.
