"Xiao Xiao, why are you giving me dried fish?"
Jiang Yue hugged her arms around the fish tank as she followed behind Ye Xiao.
This fish looked odd, somewhat like a koi, but prettier than ordinary koi, and there seemed to be something not yet fully grown on its belly. Its scales shimmered under the sunlight, very appealing to the eye, especially its eyes which looked like precious gems.
"For good luck."
Ye Xiao said with a meaningful expression.
This was a Dragon Carp. Dragons were creatures symbolizing not only ferocity but also auspiciousness, and so were Koi; keeping them over a long period could bring good fortune to the owner.
"Xiao Xiao, you still believe in this stuff?"
Jiang Yue did not believe in the idea of fortune-changing, but she believed that as long as she studied hard, she would definitely be able to give her grandmother a better life in the future.
"That medicine shop looks quite big, let's go in and have a look."
