Chapter 10 - 10 generations difference!

Rong Qing looked at the little snacks that had been sent over and then up at Little Milk Jin's puffy-cheeked smile.

When it came to winning hearts and showing kindness, this little cutie had them all firmly in her grasp.

There were truly few who could resist her.

But Rong Qing actually found it somewhat amusing, feeling that it was probably his slight frame and young age that made the other party mistake him for a playmate of the same age who was more approachable than the tall and strong Rong Yinghui.

However, Rong Qing had never played with peers his own age since he was a child.

Yet unexpectedly, Jinjin spoke up, her voice soft and sticky: "If you didn't have a good breakfast, you should have something to tide you over."

Her gaze landed on the dark brown Buddha Beads on his wrist.

Then, as if she thought of something, she squinted her big eyes and smiled, her two slim white legs swinging, sweet and endearing, "Big brother, I can help deal with your issue too, leave it to me with confidence, I guarantee you'll be safe and sound."

Her tiny self-confidence and arrogance only made her more lovable.

With the sweet, sticky snacks by his side, Rong Qing looked at the sweet, sticky Little One. The youth in the Tang Suit had an aura different from ordinary people, and after a momentary daze, he laughed, his appearance enchanting yet uninvolved with romantic affairs.

It was rare for a child of this age to get along with Rong Qing so well.

Rong Yinghui was actually quite pleased to see this scene.

But there's an issue—

Big brother?

Oh no, magical little treasure, have we got our generations mixed up here?

By the time Tang Micheng truly woke up, it was already after two in the afternoon.

He had been up all night, and only when the dawn's light entered the room, exhausted, had he finally drifted off to sleep.

The butler looked up as he came down the stairs.

"The young miss said this morning that you surely didn't sleep last night, so she took the day off for you, suggested you get some more sleep. Are you hungry now? I've kept some porridge and meat pies warm for you."

Tang Micheng nodded awkwardly.

He was scared, with the pale ghostly face appearing in his dreams the moment he closed his eyes. If it weren't for Tang Jin being at home, he probably wouldn't have been able to sleep during the day either. Now that he was coming around, the little boy's defensive nature came through a bit, and he asked as if it were an afterthought.

"Jinjin… cough, where's Tang Jin?"

"This morning Jinjin had an important client come over, and just a while ago, she went out with the Rong Family people. They left not too long ago."

Tang Micheng pursed the corners of his lips, looking at his bandaged hand and knee, and slowly went down to eat.

Halfway through the meal, Wei Yihan barged in.

"Cheng Cheng, I heard you were injured, are you okay? Auntie is already rushing back, worried sick, and I came right after class. Here's a cake I bought for you."

The cake box on the table came from his favorite brand.

The plump boy hung his head, opened the cake box, replied that he was fine, and then looked at Wei Yihan.

"Where did you get that stone sculpture you gave grandpa for his birthday from?"

"From an antique shop, a classmate of mine has a connection, and helped me pick it for good luck. What's wrong with you today?"

Wei Yihan looked at him concernedly, moving as if he was as worried and anxious about him as before.

Even though that item could have led to serious consequences, Wei Yihan was also unaware. Tang Micheng's inner vigilance relaxed a bit, asking about the location of that antique shop before speaking up with a muffled voice.

"That was a bad thing, it nearly cost me and grandpa our lives, so don't go to that shop with your classmate anymore."

"What are you talking about, did you hit your head or something? Who told you this? Someone kindly helped me choose, but it turns into plotting against you in your mouth? Talking about costing lives? It's just a stone sculpture of a crane bringing longevity."

Wei Yihan thought it was ridiculous.

"I experienced it first hand, saw it with my own eyes, and in the end, it was only because Tang Jin saved me that I was only left with these injuries. Anyway, don't go there again."

"Tang Jin? She's only five, what can she do? Those Taoist temples are used to scamming people for money; you haven't been tricked by some sort of magic trick she used, have you? No, I need to tell auntie about this."

"What did you say to my mom?"

Tang Micheng was extremely annoyed. Already harboring a grudge against her, her attitude only compounded his frustration; he didn't even finish his cake, threw down his little fork, and went upstairs.

Wei Yihan, who hadn't finished speaking, stood beside the dining table, her fingers clenching her purse, watching his retreating figure as he ascended the stairs. She bit her lip, and a circle of red appeared around her eyes.

It wasn't like this yesterday.

Just in one day, Tang Jin had gotten Tang Micheng to speak up for her.

Wei Yihan had a face that was pure and clean, but now, for some unknown reason, a faint dark color crept over it.

The Rong Family's ancestral home did not adjoin the mansions of other wealthy families.

Since a hundred years ago, it had stood alone in this area, a large traditional Chinese courtyard house with unique architectural design.

Intricately carved beams and painted rafters, upturned eaves, high-hanging plaques; even from the outside, the structure radiated an ancient charm, forged by the passage of time and weather.

In the courtyard was a square pond surrounded by town stones shaped like Copper Coins amidst greenery. In the pond, koi fish flicked their tails, gathering spirit and energy; undoubtedly the masterpiece of generations of Feng Shui Masters.

Tang Jin, no stranger to grandeur, was still dazzled by the majesty of the estate.

No wonder these people had such flourishing wealth; living in such a place, if it were her, wouldn't she be turned upside down with success?

Little Milk Bun had, at some point, already been taken by the hand by Rong Qing, his wide cat-like eyes round with wonder.

His little head was shiny, and at the moment, he looked like a small milk bun taken to a luxurious cat house, a sight he had never seen.

The mansion was spacious inside; Rong Yinghui originally eager to try and hold Tang Jin's soft little body, was one step slower than Rong Qing and watched with life doubts as Rong Qing led Tang Jin inside.

"Living here, unless someone deliberately wants to harm you, you really wouldn't encounter any accidents."

Tang Jin exhaled softly, murmured softly in a milky voice, "It's a good thing it's a well-behaved and honest spirit; if it were someone else, they would have been gone long ago."

"Can you tell who's trying to harm me?"

Standing under the blazing sun, Rong Yinghui's forehead began to sweat, unable to understand who he might have offended.

"Your Palace of Wealth is shrouded with dark energy—it's somebody with financial and power relations to you, but they're concealed, using another Feng Shui Master to take action, so it's impossible to determine their exact relation to you."

Under the fierce sun, Tang Jin looked up with her small face at the dark energy over the Palace of Wealth that still wouldn't dissipate even in the sunlight. She reached into her little cloth bag, pulled out her little dust whisk, and hugged it close, "Come on, let's go have a look at your room."

The Tang Suit-clad youth, previously leading Little Milk Jin, halted, glancing at the sunlight, "It's a bit far."

Turning to the side, with courteous dignity, "Let me carry you there."

Rong Yinghui: ...????

-

Rong Yinghui's room was clean and tidy, with bright large windows showcasing the greenery of the backyard.

Tang Jin landed on her feet and turned around twice.

"Did you change the layout of your room?"

"Is there a problem?"

Rong Qing looked over.

"First of all, the bed; the foot of the bed faces the window, you're sleeping facing the window, with light shining directly on your face. Have you been waking up startled or restless lately? This is a secretive method for causing accidents to people."

Rong Yinghui's mouth fell open as he nodded repeatedly.

"A little while ago, this small building was renovated and, indeed, the others in the house had changed him to a larger bed, and the position had to be altered," Rong Qing explained, his expression darkening slightly.

Tang Jin then walked to the window.

"And the window outside—"
