After coming out of the Medical Bureau, Wen Renbai and Helan Lian seemed to have gone somewhere, as they were nowhere to be seen.
Mingshu and Si Chu were preparing to go to the Prefect's Mansion to meet up with Wen Zhiyi and the others.
Halfway there, Mingshu suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure, and her steps halted abruptly.
"What's wrong?" Si Chu noticed her anomaly, his eyebrows slightly lifted as he followed her gaze, just in time to see a figure disappearing around the corner of the street.
Mingshu's brows knitted slightly as she murmured, "Isn't that Ah Yao? Why would she be here?"
Ah Yao, not noticing the two, looked vigilant; she glanced around and then quickened her pace, striding into a narrow alley.
Her suspicious demeanor caused Mingshu to press her lips together, she shot Si Chu a glance, "Shall we follow and see?"
Si Chu naturally had no objections.
