On the way back to Jingren Palace, Mingshu encountered Consort Rong and Zhong Changzai.
Among the concubines of the harem, aside from Consort Shu, she only had some impression of Consort Rong, who hailed from a family of scholars, boasted exceptional beauty, and possessed a cool and aloof temperament.
She seemed like someone who knows how to assess the situation and stays out of worldly strife.
As for Zhong Changzai, Mingshu didn't quite remember her until Yun Zhi reminded her at her side.
Compared to Consort Rong, Zhong Changzai seemed much more like the girl-next-door, looking timid and always shrinking back, as if even the slightest disturbance could frighten her.
