Chapter 22: Healed?!
Swish
Loki appeared right in front of the teleportation portal. He was on the verge of death with venomous poison all over his body. The flesh covering his body had already melted.
He was still breathing thanks to his amazing physique.
The Hailfrost family's knights were stationed here.
He was already unconscious so they took him near a tent and placed him in a bed. A healer arrived and commenced his healing.
Fiona visited the tent and later left after finding out that he survived,
A day later
"Mmm… Where am I?" I groggily opened my eyes and observed the surroundings. I was on a bed inside some tent.
"Oh right! The venom." I quickly examined my body and to my amazement, was completely fine.
Even my left arm seemed to have regenerated and the poison inside my body was completely cured.
I stood up, put some clothes on, and went outside the tent.
A group of knights approached me and inquired about my health.
"I'm fine," I responded, asking them to lead me towards Fiona.
They led me towards a tent.
Fiona was inside having a cup of tea. She asked me to sit and ordered the knights to go out.
"So, How did it go?"
"Pretty well as you can see."
I flexed my muscles to her.
She chuckled and responded.
"I might have fixed that."
"Here's the item you ordered to bring."I
placed the gem on the table and glanced at her face.
A slight smirk appeared on her face.
"What happened to others?"
I inquired slightly puzzled.
"They're dead."
She placed a potion and calmly stated.
It was the breakthrough potion.
"I lost my hand and nearly died just for this fucking shit."
I spouted a curse in his mind as he held the breakthrough potion.
It wasn't worth dying just for this single potion but at least I'm fucking rich now. I literally looted a kingdom's treasury.
They exchanged contact with each other and Loki exited the tent.
"Miss, should we place some shadows around him?"
"No. Continue searching for his information first."
Fiona ordered and continued enjoying her tea.
"Yes."
"Loki Odinson. Let's see who you might be." Fiona mused with a curious expression.
She picked up the Eldruim and excitedly summoned her scepter.
"Finally!" Fiona excitedly laughed.
"Now I'm a single step away from my wish," Fiona ordered her knights to pack up. They will be returning to their estate.
sneezes
"Who is missing me now." A quick sneeze escaped my lips as I leisurely traveled toward Dawn City.
A thousand thoughts were playing over my head as I quietly rubbed my storage ring.
"Hehehe…"
He giggled with a wide grin plastered on my face.
An hour later
The sun was setting when I arrived at the City so I booked an inn.
I took a relaxing shower, enjoyed a heavy meal, and slept like a log for the whole night.
The next day, I went to the arena as usual and met with Dan. We chatted with each other for a while and Dan left as he had a battle to attend.
I had a lot of leisure time so I just roamed around the city.
I enjoyed a cozy hot spring, did a little shopping, and tried some delicious dishes.
"Mmm… This is the best!"
The pastries were so delicious that I gave some extra tips to the waiter.
"Yo Dan!, wanna battle?"
I jokingly challenged Dan only to receive a 'Yes' from him.
"Bruh. Are you always this serious?" I grumbled and approached the arena.
Dan silently followed him while planning his strategy.
We stood against each other and drew their weapons.
"The winner pays for the food, Deal?"
"Deal." Dan lowly whispered and dashed towards Loki.
"Don't mind me then." I chuckled and dodged Dan's attack.
We battled each other for a while until I defeated Dan.
Later, We went to a restaurant and had a buffet.
Well, I had as Dan just enjoyed a small meal and started sipping his juice.
"Oi Dan, Tell me your backstory." I tried inquiring from Dan but he remained silent.
"Tch.. as secretive as always," I grumbled slightly and continued my meal.
Dan paid the bill with a stoic face and we left the restaurant. We separated from each other and I approached my inn.
On my way back, I checked ny communication orb and found that my mother had called me.
"Mom called me yesterday?"
I quickly called her back.
"Hello."
"Hello, Mom!"
"Hmm…it seems someone is already forgetting their family." Amelia's cold voice echoed through.
"N-no Mom, I was just busy by something." I tried searching for some excuses.
"My son can't even find time for me now." Amelia replied with a saddened voice.
"M-mom, I won't miss it again. Forgive me Please!"
"Apologize to Kia not me, She was missing you." Amelia passed her phone to Kiara.
"Hello Brother!" Kiara greeted with a cheerful face.
"Hi Kia! How are you? Did you finish your breakfast?"
"I'm Fine, Brother."
"..."
"..."
Their conversation continued as Amelia stood next to Kia smiling while watching her children. She also joined from time to time but mostly she just enjoyed their company.
"Bye Kia! Bye, Mom!" I ended the call and retired to my room.
I told them about my journey while hiding the life-threatening moments. I went on and on for hours as Kia happily cheered for me after hearing my adventures. Mother displayed a proudful and worried expression as she imagined his journey.
I reassured her about my well-being and even told them that I had prepared lots of gifts for them.
"All the fatigue just vanished after talking to them." I happily entered my room and lay on the bed.
"Time for a new journey." I muttered and started planning for my next destination.
I had some plans but wasn't quite sure where to visit as there were a lot of different places in my mind.
"Hmm… Maybe I could go there." I thought of a city and a certain race residing in that city.
Though that City allowed human entry, they weren't too keen to welcome them as they preferred living peacefully and quietly unlike humans.
"Let's see where my destiny takes me." A cheesy line escaped my lips as I closed my eyes and vanished into the dreamlands.
