Chapter 2 - I'm Fucked..

I awoke from my reverie after hearing her soothing voice.

"Y-Yes, I'm fine. Just my memories are a bit hazy," I mumbled with slight nervousness.

"That's a serious problem. Let me see." She panicked and started examining me.

"A-Alright." I patiently waited.

After some time went by, she finished examining me and worriedly glanced at me.

"You seem fine. How much do you remember?" she inquired.

"Almost nothing. Can you help me, Mom?" I suggested with a calm face.

Her eyes softened, and she reached out to pat my head gently. "Don't worry, baby. Your mother is here. She will help you, okay?"

"Mhmm..." I mumbled and praised myself internally for this Oscar-winning acting.

"Let's eat something first. You are hungry, right? we will think of something later." She stood up as we marched towards the dining room.

Dining Room

In a grand room full of aristocratic decor and noble vibes, a dining table stood in the middle surrounded by three people. The table was filled with delicious cuisine, and its sweet aromas spread throughout the room. Among the three, one was a middle-aged man who looked quite handsome with his pitch-black hair, haunting silver eyes that seemed like they could pierce through your soul, a sharp jawline, and a muscular physique.

Another was a beautiful lady with long purple hair, ocean-blue eyes, flawless skin, a mature face with pink lips, and a worried look as she caringly gazed at the third person who was a young child around 10 years old with blackish-purple hair, shining silver eyes, and a cute face.

"Dear! Loki is saying that he forgot everything," Amelia whined to her husband, who was politely enjoying his meal.

"Everything? I don't quite understand your words, Amy," William inquired from Amelia with a poker face, only to receive a fierce glare from her.

"I meant he lost his MEMORIES. I examined him thoroughly but couldn't find the problem. Do something!" Amelia yelled as William swiftly checked his son.

"Amy, dear, maybe he lost some of his memories after yesterday's accident. Just let him rest, he will be fine afterward." William spoke cautiously so as not to anger his wife further.

"Umm... What happened yesterday?" I ventured cautiously, noticing the solemn look that passed between my parents.

"Maybe he hit his head quite hard," William murmured, his gaze softening as he smiled reassuringly at me. "You just fell and hit your head. Don't worry, your mother has already healed you."

I made a puzzled face while thanking God internally since I don't need some excuse for my memory loss now.

"Son, eat your meal first. Afterward, I will explain it to you." Amelia stopped him from asking too much to avoid giving him unnecessary anxiety.

---

I subconsciously marched towards my room as I processed the information that I just obtained from my parents after an intense talk.

"Damn..."

The only word that I could think of to describe my current situation.

I got reincarnated in a fantasy world, of course…

The world is called Eldoria, and it has a magic element called Eden. Okay…

There are other races besides humans. Yeah…

And I'm fucked. Huh?!

You see, I am the Young Master of the Grimheart Family, and my parents are very powerful. So, it is a good thing, right?

Nope. We have a lot of powerful enemies, externally and internally, who are keeping an eye on us.

And since I am their son and also very weak compared to my parents, there is a high probability that I can become their target for revenge. And that's not all; there is another major problem.

I DON'T HAVE ANY CHEATS ON ME.

cough cough

I mean, I tried EVERYTHING but couldn't find any system, some broken ability, or some powerful old man trapped in some broken artifact, etc.

Now the only choice I have left is to wait for my awakening and hope for the best.

Ohh… and about the awakening. It will happen three years later when I turn 13. So, I just have to survive till then. It's easy, right?

Nope.

sigh

I might die from stress before anything.

But at least one problem is solved.

I don't need to worry about money as my family is hella rich. They could easily buy the city that I used to live in with a snap of their fingers.

Knock knock

"Young Master, the bath is ready." A childish voice echoed through my room while I was contemplating my future.

"Alright, Bella." I slowly stood up while clearing the unnecessary thoughts.

By the way, the young maid from the morning is Bella Stone. She is my personal maid and also the same age as me.

I know it's considered child labor to allow her to work at just 10 years old. But it's a fantasy world, so who cares. (Not supporting any forms of child labor, though.)

As I stretched my right hand to caress my hair, I noticed a weird eye tattoo on my palm.

"Hmm?!... Why does it look similar to the Illuminati symbol?"

sigh

Now I'm just straight-up hallucinating from the stress. Let's just take a clean bath.

"Ooooh... Nothing hits better than a cold shower after a long day of mental fatigue." A soft moan escaped my lips as the cold water sprayed on my body.

I enjoyed the bath for a while and later exited the room.

"I hope everything goes well for me." I prayed and approached my room.

"Too many depressing thoughts for today. Let's just hop on the bed." I sighed and jumped straight into the bed.

"Mhmm... this is life." I cleared my thoughts and snuggled in the bed.

As I drifted off, I didn't notice the faint glow emanating from the eye tattoo on my palm. It pulsed softly in the darkness.

The glow faded as I moved in my sleep, leaving only a lingering sense of unease.
