King Oberon was shocked to hear Tristan's words. He didn't expect Tristan to say something like that with a face that showed no fear. Tristan caught his attention.
Tristan learned about King Oberon of the Widomar Kingdom through the memories of Tristan Madigan and his two knights. Oberon had a habit of mocking new rulers and was most likely appraising Tristan right now.
If King Oberon thought Tristan was weak and unfit to be king, he would send tens of thousands of troops to attack Madigan.
His purpose was to damage Tristan's mentality and make Madigan's people doubt Tristan's ability to keep their country safe and calm from war.
King Oberon was a warlike king, and it just so happened that the Madigan Kingdom never had a conflict with the Widomar Kingdom.
Tristan suddenly suspected that King Oberon had deliberately created the scenario of his girlfriend being beaten black and blue at the inn so that he would have an excuse to come to the Madigan Kingdom.
"Okay. I will hand over my soldiers who injured your soldiers," said King Oberon. His lips curved into a slight smile. "You care about your soldiers."
"Of course. They are the ones who protect us all from all kinds of danger," said Tristan.
"You can rest at the inn until my soldiers find the perpetrators who injured your girlfriend," said Tristan to King Oberon. The giant king nodded.
Tristan got off his horse. A palace soldier took his horse to be placed in the horse stable.
The two knights immediately protected their king. King Oberon and his people entered the inn.
Tristan looked at the innkeeper and his five employees. They were relieved and could breathe normally again after the soldiers of the Widomar Kingdom put their swords back into their sheaths.
"You must tell me the truth so that the palace soldiers don't arrest the wrong person," Tristan said in a threatening tone.
The innkeeper and his five employees nodded with pale faces. Their king was as scary as King Oberon.
They didn't know what kind of punishment they would get from King Oberon, but they knew that their king could give them a beheading if they lied and were uncooperative.

King Oberon had handed over 13 of his soldiers who had injured 23 Madigan soldiers to Tristan.
Tristan ordered his two knights to injure the shoulders and arms of the 13 Widomar soldiers. Their wounds were the same as the wounds they had given to his 23 soldiers.
Tristan saw the condition of the 23 soldiers who were injured when they tried to stop King Oberon and his 100 soldiers from entering their territory.
"I honestly want to behead all the soldiers of the Widomar Kingdom who have injured you." It was unknown since when Tristan started liking beheading.
The 23 soldiers shuddered in horror. Their king had genuinely fallen in love with the beheading punishment as if it was the only punishment that applied in the kingdom. They were afraid of making mistakes, let alone making their king angry.
Tristan walked out of the room. He stood in the courtyard with his gaze fixed on the clear sky.
"I will forbid King Oberon from coming to the kingdom. He has caused trouble." Tristan put his hands on his hips with an annoyed face. "Who does he think he is? Does he think I'm afraid of him?" Tristan snorted.
Knights Aiden and Ajax exchanged glances. Their king was still relatively young and had only been king for a month, yet he showed no fear of King Oberon, as the king's behavior was indeed very arrogant.
People should stop questioning whether Carlos Madigan and the palace made the right decision in crowning Tristan as king at 18.
"Your Majesty."
"What is it?" Tristan turned to Knight Aiden with a raised eyebrow.
"Last night, you ordered me to find out about the nine bandits who approached us when you fell off your horse," Knight Aiden said carefully because his king was upset.
"Oh, you are right; I gave you such an order." Tristan focused his eyes on Knight Aiden. "Is what they said true?"
"They were telling the truth, Your Majesty," Knight Aiden said.
Tristan's mouth dropped. He did not expect Carlos Madigan to be the one who suggested Tristan side with the farmers who did not want to sell their plantations to the merchant.
Tristan wondered if Carlos Madigan remembered that he had made dozens of people lose their jobs 15 years ago because he built a palace for his queen.
Tristan smiled crookedly. He had a brilliant idea. He could use the events of 15 years ago if Carlos Madigan were to criticize his decisions one day.
"Have they ever killed anyone?" Tristan asked.
"They've been quite a nuisance to the merchants who pass through those two forests—the road we passed last night, Your Majesty," Knight Aiden replied. "Will you order me to take them to prison?"
"But I've never heard of any merchants bothered by their presence." Tristan tilted his head.
"For now, I want you to send the palace soldiers to keep an eye on them. Mark my words, keep an eye on them, not stop them," Tristan said to Knight Aiden.
"I understand, Your Majesty." Knight Aiden nodded.
"What about you, Knight Ajax?" Tristan asked Knight Ajax. Both of his knights had subordinates, and they all obeyed their king.
"The witch is still in Madigan, Your Majesty. She replaced her friend as a fortune teller in the market in the capital. Her friend has been a fortune teller in Madigan for a long time, and she has many customers," Knight Ajax said.
Tristan nodded his head. He asked Knight Ajax's men to monitor the witch until she left Madigan. He also requested Knight Ajax's men to watch Witch Jane, who was imprisoned in the Arafuro Kingdom.
Tristan would not fail the second and third tasks. Damn it. He wanted to kill Carlos Madigan because if the old man who couldn't move died, Tristan would live in peace.

"You kept your promise, Your Majesty King Tristan." King Oberon smiled widely at Tristan, and his smile turned sinister as he looked at the three women who had beaten her girlfriend. "Put them in the iron cage."
Tristan watched the soldiers from the Widomar Kingdom, who pushed the three women roughly until they were in the iron cage.
"I can sleep well tonight." King Oberon sighed in relief. Then he said to Tristan. "Thank you very much, and I apologize for causing a commotion."
"We just kept our promise." Tristan looked straight at King Oberon. "I hope we never meet again."
King Oberon was shocked, and two seconds later, he chuckled. "You're the only one who says that to me."
"If you really want to meet me, please don't cause a scene. Your soldiers have injured 23 of my soldiers, and you've made me send hundreds of my soldiers across our country in search of those three damn women," Tristan said in annoyance.
"Apparently, you're a vengeful person." King Oberon smiled crookedly. "I've given you 13 of my soldiers, but that still doesn't make you forgive me."
Tristan stared at King Oberon with an expressionless face. How could he not be angry with the giant king? He had already made Tristan unable to take a nap!
King Oberon entered his enormous carriage horses. Tristan felt bad for the eight horses; they must have abandoned their jobs if they could talk.
"See you again, Your Majesty King Tristan. Sooner or later, we will meet again, and when that time comes, I would like to talk to you," said King Oberon before his knight closed the carriage door.
Tristan's eyes widened. Why did the king want to see him again? He had a bad feeling.
"Why doesn't the scare opponent skill work? Can it only be used when I'm facing my enemy?" Tristan murmured. He was annoyed at the system for not explaining the use of the skill in detail.
