Tristan, Carlos, Leonardo, and Laureen were shocked to hear the news.
The palace soldier left Carlos' room after Tristan thanked him.
Then Tristan told his two knights to prepare themselves, the palace soldiers, and their horses.
"What have you done? Why does King Oberon of the Widomar Kingdom seem angry with our kingdom?" Carlos looked at Tristan questioningly.
"I don't know." Tristan shook his head with a confused face. "Our kingdom is far from the Widomar Kingdom. We don't have diplomatic relations with them, and I've never even met him."
Carlos Madigan wanted to nod and pat his forehead. Too bad he couldn't do that. He could only frown and say, "I'm sorry. I thought you did something behind our back that made King Oberon come to our kingdom in a rage."
Tristan attempted not to express his irritation with Carlos Madigan. The elderly man who couldn't move his body hired someone to report everything he did to him.
Tristan hated Carlos Madigan's attitude, as if he couldn't believe his son could become king.
Well, Tristan was not his son. Maybe Carlos Madigan suspected that he was not his son from the start.
No wonder the system gave Tristan the task of making sure Carlos Madigan would never recover from his illness and getting rid of the witch Jane who could most likely find a cure to heal the damn old man.
Why didn't the system give Tristan the task of killing Carlos Madigan?
Tristan could pay an assassin who never let his clients down, and if the secret were revealed, he would shut up everyone who knew about it with money or a position.
Ah, forget about Carlos Madigan for a moment. Tristan had severe and essential matters that he had to resolve immediately.

"King Oberon is a bastard." Tristan cursed when he mounted his golden-maned white horse.
Tristan was furious at King Oberon. In addition to injuring many soldiers and frightening his people, the King of the Widomar Kingdom also made him cancel his plan to take a nap.
He missed his bed so much!
Tristan and his two knights and 50 palace soldiers rode their horses towards an inn.
King Oberon and his troops surrounded the inn. No one knows yet the old man's purpose in coming to the Madigan Kingdom.
Knight Aiden and Knight Ajax led the way. Along the way, there was no one because everyone had gone home, and even the shop owners had closed their shops when they heard the news that their country was attacked.
As a king, of course, Tristan should be angry. King Oberon and his troops had entered his kingdom without permission and were rude to his soldiers as if he did not respect Tristan as the king in Madigan.
"I apologize, Your Majesty King Oberon. Forgive us. Forgive us."
Tristan used his sharp hearing skills to listen to what was happening inside the inn. He held his horse's reins tightly. It seemed that King Oberon was making a scene inside.
"You have no right to block the access road. This is not your kingdom!" Knight Aiden growled at the Widomar Kingdom soldiers blocking the 20-meter road to the inn.
The soldiers bowed and opened the way when they realized that the flag carried by Knight Aiden and Knight Ajax was the flag of the Madigan Kingdom, and then some of them saw Tristan, who was wearing a king's robe.
Tristan glared at all the soldiers from the Widomar Kingdom. They had injured 23 of his soldiers. They must get the punishment they deserve.
"Your Majesty the King." The innkeeper shouted excitedly as he saw his king and two knights enter the inn's courtyard. His neck would be free from those sharp swords.
"What are you doing in my kingdom, Your Majesty King Oberon? Why didn't you come to see me first? What you and your troops have done to us is an insult." Tristan said firmly, his gaze fixed on King Oberon sitting on a wooden chair.
Tristan had activated his scare opponent's skill even though he didn't know if it would help him. At least it made him confident and not afraid of King Oberon.
"Your Majesty King Tristan." King Oberon stood up from the wooden chair he brought from his kingdom. His head almost touched the roof of the inn. He was very tall, and his body was big, like a giant.
Tristan had not gotten off his horse, but he still had to lift his head to look into King Oberon's black eyes.
Tristan was shocked. He hoped the king of another kingdom he had never met was not as big as King Oberon.
"I apologize profusely to you and all your people, especially the dozens of injured Madigan soldiers. I realize what my troops and I have done has crossed the line, and we have shown our rudeness as guests." King Oberon lowered his head and touched his chest to show his sincerity.
"But I couldn't hold back the anger that burned me. I couldn't meet you first because I wanted to meet the people who injured my girlfriend immediately!" King Oberon said in a high tone, and the veins on his forehead protruded, making everyone dare not look at him except Tristan.
Tristan frowned. His brain suddenly slowed down to process King Oberon's words. "What really happened? I don't understand why you came to my kingdom."
"Oh, so the innkeeper didn't tell you." King Oberon stared at the tall, thin man sharply.
"Tell me what really happened." Tristan stared at the innkeeper who was shivering with fear until he had difficulty breathing, let alone speaking.
"Yesterday, my girlfriend stayed at this inn." King Oberon took over the attention. He couldn't wait for the thin man to speak.
"This morning, she arrived home battered. Then I decided to come to this inn to apprehend the perpetrators who beat my girlfriend, and I would also punish everyone in the inn who knew about it, but the perpetrators would escape!" King Oberon said sternly.
Tristan's brows knitted together. He found it weird that King Oberon had a girlfriend in this situation. Typically, the king would make their lover or the person they love into their concubine.
"I apologize for the bad things that happened to your girlfriend, Your Majesty King Oberon." Tristan lowered his head. "You can leave this case to the Madigan soldiers. They will catch the perpetrators as soon as possible."
"I want the perpetrators caught today!" King Oberon was stubborn. "I will stay at this inn until the perpetrators are caught. Then I beg you to hand them over to me because I will be the one to punish them."
Tristan clenched his fists. Damn it. How could King Oberon order him around like that?
"I also expect you to punish everyone in this inn who knows about the assault case that my girlfriend experienced, but they let the perpetrators go just like that." King Oberon's pointer finger pointed at the innkeeper and numerous employees, terrified under the threat of his warriors' swords.
"Okay. I will do it." Tristan nodded with his jaw tightened. Then, he stared deeply at King Oberon. "I ask you to hand over all your soldiers who have injured my soldiers to me. I must punish them."
