Life in school has been good for Eva. She had settled into a comfortable routine and was enjoying her classes. But towards the middle of the session, a new student transferred to the school.
Lucas pulled up to the school in his sleek black sports car, heads turned to stare. The car was luxurious, with gleaming wheels and a rumbling engine that seemed to purr with power. Lucas himself was a sight to behold, with his chiseled features and piercing blue eyes that seemed to see right through you. His dark hair was perfectly messy, and his smile was dazzling as he stepped out of the car and onto the school grounds.
As he walked towards the school building, his strides were long and purposeful, his eyes scanning the surroundings with a sense of curiosity and interest.
The students at the school couldn't help but stare as Lucas made his way through the halls, his presence seeming to draw people in like a magnet. He was the kind of person who commanded attention without even trying, his charisma and confidence radiating from him like a palpable force.
As Lucas walked into the classroom, all eyes were on him. The girls couldn't help but stare at his chiseled features and charming smile. Eva, too, felt a flutter in her chest, but she quickly looked away, trying to focus on her schoolwork.
But she couldn't help sneaking glances at Lucas throughout the class. He was sitting a few rows ahead of her, and she could see the way the girls around him were giggling and blushing. They were all clearly smitten with him, and Eva couldn't blame them.
As the class ended and the students filed out, the girls couldn't stop talking about Lucas. "Oh my gosh, have you seen his eyes?" one girl squealed. "They're so dreamy!"
"I know, right?" another girl replied. "And his smile? It's like the sun breaking through the clouds!"
Eva rolled her eyes good-naturedly as she listened to the girls fawn over Lucas. She couldn't deny that he was handsome, but she wasn't about to join in on the swooning.
But as she walked out of the classroom, she couldn't help but notice the way Lucas was looking at her. It was a brief glance, but she felt like he had seen right through her. She quickened her pace, feeling a flush rise to her cheeks.
The hallway was abuzz with excitement as the girls continued to talk about Lucas. "I heard he's a transfer student from out of state," one girl said. "I wonder what brought him here."
"I don't care what brought him here," another girl replied. "I'm just glad he's here!"
Eva smiled to herself as she listened to the girls' chatter. She was happy to see her classmates so happy, even if it was over a boy. But as she turned the corner, she felt a sudden jolt of surprise. Lucas was standing right in front of her, his eyes locked on hers.
Lucas approached Eva with a curious expression, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Hey, do you remember me?" he asked, his deep voice sending a shiver down her spine.
Eva furrowed her brow, trying to place him. She had seen him around school, but they had never spoken before. "No, I don't think so," she replied, shaking her head.
Lucas chuckled, his smile revealing perfectly white teeth. "That's okay, I didn't expect you to. But I remember you. We met at the restaurant where you work. I'm the one who saved you from getting fired that day."
Eva's eyes widened as she suddenly recalled the incident. "Oh my gosh, that was you! You're the one who stopped me from getting fired when I accidentally poured wine on that lady!" She felt a surge of gratitude towards him, mixed with a hint of embarrassment.
Lucas nodded, his smile growing wider. "That's right. I'm glad I was able to help. You were really upset that day." He took a step closer to her, his eyes locked on hers. "I have to say, I was impressed by your dedication to your job. Not many people would have stuck around after a mistake like that."
Eva felt a blush rise to her cheeks as she remembered the incident. "Yeah, I was really scared. But I didn't want to give up. I needed that job." She looked up at Lucas, her eyes meeting his. "Thanks to you, I was able to keep it."
Lucas shrugged, looking modest. "It was no big deal. I just didn't want to see you get in trouble. But I'm glad I could help." He paused, his eyes never leaving hers. "So, how's life been treating you since then?"
Eva smiled, feeling a sense of ease with Lucas that she hadn't expected. "It's been good. I've been keeping busy with work and school. How about you?"
Lucas grinned. "I've been keeping busy too. I just transferred to this school, so I'm still getting used to things around here."
Eva's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? I hadn't heard that. Welcome to our school!"
Lucas chuckled. "Thanks, Eva. I'm glad to be here." He paused, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "So, want to grab some lunch together and catch up some more?"
"No maybe some other time. I need to go home I'm almost late for work. See you some other time " Eva said with a smile on her face and left before Lucas could say anything
