Hangpole pirates watched their ship sail away while the large, vicious dog still snarled at them from the stern.
The Hangpole made yet another stop at the bustling port of one of the largest cities, Ona, where Sela would bid them goodbye.
Their every attempt to convince her to journey with them as their captain had failed because even though she fancied the sound of treasure, the Godless Sea wasn't a place she wanted to ever visit again.
Sela might've told them enough to inspire scare in their hearts, but the glint of resolve in Adonna's round eyes didn't twitch one bit.
Sela didn't much care. "Well, whenever I journey through unfamiliar territory, I make it a habit to never tell the locals where I'm from. Every land has a history and you never know who hold prejudice against whom. Maybe you motley brats should try that strategy too." She advised Davy as she forfeited the helm to him.
This cloud of uneasy feeling hung over him, he couldn't help but ask before she'd leave. "You're not afraid of dying or just not afraid of bullets."
Sela just laughed then strode off the ship, humming a melody that quickly trapped Davy's attention. Wide-eyed and paralysed like he was staring at a ghost in her. Only Rwby noticed him this way.
That day, 29th of November, we set course finally. Back then, none of us could've suspected our adventures would bring change to the entire world we used to know.

They hadn't seen the last of the Hangpole pirates however, as the crew happened to be well known by that same geezer Sela robbed. Captain Deron needn't pay for the old shopkeeper to transmit a message for him through his telegraph.
The receiver elsewhere translated that code then forwarded the message to yet another telegraph.
And the third receiver forwarded it by messenger bird.
That wouldn't be the only message traversing the Consortium of States though. At Dona' Port Market a delivered envelope reached yet another familiar face, whose face lit up as he pulled his citizen tag out of it. "Godspeed, Captain Pebbleton." Said Stally Raja.
