Yue Tian arrived at the venue at 6pm sharp. Everywhere had been set.
Their director, Shinxi Han, gathered them together. His assistant, Assistant Wu gave them a load of instructions, telling them what and what not to do.
Tonight, they played a huge role. They were to be giving the customers hints on how good San Shui was.
After thoroughly checking that their phones were off and they all looked good. They were left off to begin the party.
The place was empty. The only people present were the employees and they chatted heartily.
"Hmm. Yue Tian, you're looking good today." A female colleague commented. She was Bai Qinxin.
"Yes." Her sister, Bai Cixue followed up.
"What are you planning on doing? You wanna hit on some women tonight? Don't go there. A lot of 'em are rich ladies. Compared to the crap the advertising team had laid out to us, we all know our audience isn't the public but a bunch of naughty, rude, rich young ladies." Shen Mingze said.
"Very true." Yue Tian remarked.
They kept talking until it was around 9pm. The first wave of celebrities walked in. They were the ones who would test the product.
The director of the advertising team respectfully greeted them.
"Welcome ladies."
Their faces didn't hide their usual disgust, and in less than 2 minutes, they had all started complaining about something they didn't feel was right. The director solemnly apologized over and over again.
Amidst the chatter, the clanking of high heels could be heard. And a very distinct perfume wafted into the air. It wasn't strong or overwhelming, it was relaxing and enjoyable. This scent belonged to only one star, Li Xiaohei.
Last year, the Royal Prince of Country Yan had gifted her a specially made perfume. It had no other clones, was sold nowhere and it was named after her. The Prince could most suitably be called a fanatical person. But ever since that incident, Li Xiaohei had never changed her perfume. She deemed it fit to do anything that made her Li Xiaohei. And a perfume named after her, that was well who she was.
Her mere scent alone was enough to silence all of the celebrities. And all the eyes that turned to look at her were gleaming with hatred, envy and jealousy.
She didn't seem to notice as she smiled sweetly at them all and spoke in a clear voice. Her voice was as clear as water, extremely fluid and soft.
"Hi everyone. We shouldn't keep complaining and go dress up. If we waste time, our images will be tainted for disorderliness and lateness. We need to look the best before the shoot. After all, whether or not anyone here looks good or not, the show must go on." She said and winked.
She had just spoken the most rude words in the most polite way possible. Was she human? How could one spout all that while grinning from ear to ear?
Yue Tian sighed. Women.
The other celebrities hearing her words quickly dispersed and stopped complaining. The director led them to the dressing room.
By 10pm.
The guests had started walking in. Glasses clanking against each other and the low chatter signified crowd. Slow music was being played.
The music came to a halt gradually and the big stage was lit up by a spotlight. The manager stood there, tall and strong. He broke into a charming smile.
"Good evening, everyone. Welcome to Tianmu Beauty. We are glad..." He spoke for a while, giving a two minute speech. "Please, let the show begin."
The light went off and the place was in total darkness. For a few seconds, it remained that way and the chatter was turning up a bit of volume. Then, a spotlight shone on a small stage.
There, Jiang Sijing, a popular celebrity could be seen. She was on top of a bed at the top of a short staircase. She was on a light pink dress. She got off the bed barefooted, her snow white skin leaving the people who could barely see themselves in awe.
She slowly and softly descended the staircase. Her movements were fluid and she looked very accustomed with coming down, like she was born to walk down a staircase.
At the end of the staircase, she touched her face. There was no makeup on it. It was soft, smooth and supple.
"Why does my face feel dry?" She said to herself and frowned.
Then she looked at a table. The San Shui was on it.
"San Shui!" She exclaimed. She then ran like a fairy towards it.
She picked it up and stared at the bottle. The three big drops of water were the most prominent thing on the bottle's surface.
"I remember using some water one on my face last night. If one water won't work, then why not use three waters. It should be able to clean off my keratin layer, protect my epidermal layer and nourish my endoderm." Jiang Sijing said with shiny eyes.
She then squeezed a tiny amount of the San Shui. She applied it on her face. Then she picked up a fan and dried it. She peeled off the mask that had formed and threw it in the trashcan.
"Hmm, I feel so much better. I would recommend this to Xixi Jie." She said. Jiang Xi was her sister.
The light turned off after she picked up the San Shui and showed it to the crowd with a golden smile.
The other celebrities also used the same product, but in different scenarios. And one of the scenarios had revealed that the San Shui could be used as protective covering if a user got an injury which couldn't be treated immediately. But who would keep a skincare product closer than a first aid kit? It didn't matter as long as the audience got the message.
Li Xiaohei was the last and her performance was set on the big stage.
She was laying on a pile of feathers. She was wearing nothing asides a pair of white under wears. Saying Jiang Sijing was fair was an understatement when compared to Li Xiaohei. Li Xiaohei was so fair that there was almost no difference between her and the underwear. She looked slightly nude.
She moved around in the feathers, making angels. She was so breathtaking, that for a moment, the whole crowd had gone silent.
Her clear voice penetrated easily.
"Honey, please could you get me the San Shui? It seems I've hurt myself." Li Xiaohei spoke.
The members of the advertising team stared at their director with question marks on their face. What nonsense was Li Xiaohei saying? What honey? That wasn't part of the script.
The director was unsurprised. He smirked and waited for the show to unfold.
Footsteps rang as a pair of black leather shoes stepped onto the stage. The newcomer was on a mask that revealed only his eyes. He was on a black shirt and pants and he looked extremely sexy. Just his eyes alone told people he would be handsome. They were sharp, deep and cold.
There was a moment of silence as he passed the bottle to Li Xiaohei who was now on her knees. She squeezed out an amount and applied it on her face.
She then frowned.
"The feathers weren't made properly. It pricked my back. Could you apply it for me?" She said and passed the bottle back to him.
No one was looking at the San Shui anymore, no one cared. All they could see was a pair of large palms and slender fingers unclasp the bra Li Xiaohei was on. The fingers gingerly applied the product like it was touching some sacred vessel. The mere effrontery was mind blowing and within seconds after the product had been applied, the ladies who had lost their voice suddenly screamed.
"Oh my God! That's Nobody!"
"Nobody!"
"How could Li Xiaohei talk to Nobody?!"
The rich ladies who were normally supposed to be cultured and noble rushed to the stage without a care. But the place was instantly blocked by tall bodies wearing black clothes and as quickly as Nobody came, he left.
The light returned to normal and the props cleared up the stage. Li Xiaohei also was nowhere to be seen.
The rest of the evening couldn't go on as planned, as the young ladies seething with hatred, didn't care to listen to what the marketing and sales department's employees had to say.
Yue Tian sighed. Celebrities. How the hell were they supposed to promote the product now that the target market had lost interest? The whole budget for this had been wasted because of that stupid Li Xiaohei.
The manager hadn't been able to talk for a while, but being a seasoned businessman, he quickly apologized to the crowd to salvage the situation.
Many young ladies left in anger and the party lost its meaning with that. Many more guests started to leave as well.
The CEO wasn't present but the members of the advertising team had cold sweat on their backs. They would be fired tomorrow. Some members lost all rationale and started reproaching their director directly.
"You knew damn well this was gonna happen but what did you do? You let it happen. Now we're all gonna lose our jobs!" A male worker yelled.
"Do you know who you are talking to?" The director barked.
"Yes, I do!" The man replied.
The guests who still wanted to be patient, felt disrespected and left too. The fight that had ensued was detrimental to the company.
Yue Tian slipped away amidst it. He took an elevator to the top floor. He would go back down there after 10 minutes.
