"Ereh...?" Mikasa's voice barely made it past her trembling lips, the single word drenched in disbelief. Her wide eyes shimmered, already brimming with tears, her hands hanging loosely at her sides as sunlight bathed her face in a soft, ethereal glow. Beside her, Petra let out a ragged gasp, equally stunned.

"Mikasa..." Eren whispered, his voice soft, still groggy from the haze. He had almost forgotten why he had gone berserk in the first place. Without warning, Mikasa threw herself at him, her tears overflowing as she slammed into him, pulling him into a crushing embrace that nearly squeezed the air out of him.

"Oi, be careful! He just woke up," Levi grumbled, but Mikasa's response was as sharp as Eren's usually was.

"Shut up..... shorty. This..... This isn't your concern," she snapped, her voice cracking, nose twitching as she buried her face deeper into Eren's shirt, soaking it with her tears. Levi's eyes widened, silently conceding that these two really were made for each other. Both idiots, clearly in love, but stubborn enough to avoid saying a damn word about it.

Eren gently loosened the hug, his hands lifting to cup Mikasa's tear-streaked cheeks, his gaze scanning her face with concern. "Mikasa... you... you're okay, right?" he asked, his voice shaking slightly. The memory of her ragged breaths, broken ribs, and fading heartbeat still haunted him.

Her tears spilled faster now, warm trails streaming down her face and onto his hands. She slowly reached up, her fingers wrapping tightly around his, clinging to him as though he might disappear at any moment. Her grip was desperate, full of all the fear and heartache she'd kept bottled up.

"How... How can I be alright... when Eren isn't?" Mikasa's voice was muffled, her words tangled in sobs as she pressed herself against him once more, this time sitting on his lap, deepening the embrace as though the closeness alone could heal the wounds they both carried.

Eren's heart clenched at her words. He moved his hands through her hair, his fingers brushing gently, trying to soothe her. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry, Mikasa."

Though Mikasa didn't reply her crying intensity picked up it's pace worrying Eren,

"Hey please stop crying. At this rate you'll catch a fever...." His tone was soft, full of guilt and tenderness.

"I'm... I'm trying..." she choked out between sobs, her grip tightening. "But I can't... I can't stop..."

Mikasa wept quietly for a while, clinging to Eren like a lifeline. He continued to comfort her, whispering gentle reassurances, stroking her long hair while occasionally talking with Petra and Levi, who did their best to keep the mood from sinking too deep.

Levi, however, couldn't help but irritate Mikasa, going on about training regiments and how weak Eren's body had become after a month of sleep. His comments, though typical, started to wear on Mikasa's nerves.

Petra, sensing the tension, skillfully redirected the conversation each time, sharing stories of how tirelessly Mikasa had cared for Eren. She mentioned how, despite her injuries, Mikasa refused to let anyone else take over.

With every story, Eren's admiration for Mikasa only grew, and he couldn't help but be impressed by her unwavering dedication. His heart swelled with gratitude, and each time he looked at her, a new layer of appreciation settled deep within him.

Finally, Eren gently pulled back from the conversation, looking directly at Mikasa, who was still resting her head against his chest. "Thank you, Mikasa... I'm sorry for being such a burden. Even with your injuries, you kept looking after me. For that... thank you," he said, his voice sincere, every word heavy with meaning. "I might not even be alive right now if it wasn't for you. Thank you for everything."

Those words sank deep, striking Mikasa at her core. Her heart pounded, and a warmth spread through her chest, her face flushing a deep scarlet. She had heard Eren thank her before, but this time it felt different—more meaningful, more personal.

She bit her lip to keep from crying again, overwhelmed by a joy she had forgotten existed. For so long, the only source of happiness left in her world was Eren. His appreciation, his recognition, was everything.

Eren's gaze softened as he watched her, his own heart stirred by the sight of Mikasa—strong, resilient Mikasa—blushing like a child. He reached up, brushing a stray tear from her cheek, feeling the familiar heat of her skin against his hand. "You've always been there for me... I will always remember that...."

Levi sighed, shaking his head. "Thank God she stopped. Her sobbing was getting on my nerves. I don't know how you deal with that…" His blunt comment earned a chuckle from Petra, though Mikasa whipped around, her gray eyes locking onto Levi with a death glare sharp enough to cut through steel. She didn't hesitate, already challenging humanity's strongest soldier.

Eren, however, cut through the tension with a surprising calm. "C'mon, Levi… even if she wanted to cry in my arms forever, I'd happily accept that. Because she's Mikasa. The person that matters to me the most."

"Ah..." Mikasa's breath caught in her throat, her heart skipping a beat. She turned to Eren, her wide eyes meeting his warm, gentle smile. That smile—so simple yet filled with affection—made her entire world light up.

"Damn," Levi muttered under his breath, watching the scene unfold.

Mikasa, blushing furiously, couldn't handle the intensity of Eren's gaze any longer. Her face immediately buried itself into his shoulder, her thoughts racing uncontrollably. She clung to him like a cat trying to disappear, hiding her embarrassment as her mind spiraled into chaos.

"What... what did he mean by 'person who matters the most '? Does he like me? No way... He's Eren, he's always been like that—loving and caring, especially toward me and my family. But... could he actually like someone like me? Boys usually like... soft and cute girls, right? Not someone like me... stronger than most of the guys. Ugh, I don't knoooow…" Her thoughts swirled, confusion and hope battling for dominance in her chest.

Meanwhile, Eren just kept smiling, clearly amused at how flustered Mikasa had become. He knew she was probably overthinking, but seeing her like this—vulnerable and shy—only made his heart swell more.

But before the moment could stretch any further, a familiar blonde figure appeared at the doorway, his expression frozen, clearly rooted to the spot.

"Great, another one," Levi muttered, thoroughly disappointed.

After what felt like an eternity of emotional reunions (though poor Levi had to endure the whole thing), Armin finally joined Eren, sitting beside him while Mikasa stayed comfortably nestled on Eren's lap.

Armin's voice was soft, tinged with regret as he broke the silence. "Hey... Eren, I'm sorry... for everything. I've been a complete asshole. I trusted a traitor over my childhood friend... the one I've shared countless dreams with."

Eren shook his head in disagreement, his gaze steady. "It's alright, Armin. But you weren't totally wrong. I was so consumed by my own revenge, I didn't even consider anyone else's advice... I was blinded."

Armin's guilt deepened, but hearing Eren's words brought a bit of relief. They had all been through so much, and the weight of those mistakes lingered like shadows in the room.

Levi, still leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed, continued where Eren left off. "This might be your final lesson, kid. Try defying your seniors again, and you'll get it. Just because you're Eren's friend doesn't make you special."

His words came off sharp, Eren, Petra, and Armin sensed the deeper meaning behind the stern tone. Mikasa, however, thought Levi was just throwing his usual act, playing the wise, grumpy mentor. Levi's voice grew harsher as he went on, his gaze fixated on Armin.

"Eren here—his strength, his brain, his decisions—made him vice commander. And have saved countless lives. As for that girl," he gestured at Mikasa, still curled up in Eren's arms, "has survived the Female Titan's assault and during the trost killed about 12 titans."

"And you? What are you good for? Nothing. You wanna be worth something, Arlert? Prove you're not a waste of life. And if you are I'll personally make sure you end up cleaning cannons in the Garrison."

The words were cold, biting like the edge of a blade, and Levi wasn't letting Armin slip by this time. It wasn't just a lecture—it was a challenge. Levi knew Armin had potential, but that potential wouldn't matter unless it was realized. His method was harsh, but to him, it was necessary.

Armin's head lowered, the sting of Levi's words sinking in. Yet, he didn't argue or complain. He simply nodded, accepting the reprimand with a quiet resolve. "Yes, sir... I won't disappoint you anymore," he said, his voice firm despite the weight pressing on his shoulders.

Though it felt harsh, both Eren and Petra could see that Levi's words were meant to push Armin forward, to make him grow. It wasn't just about strength, but about becoming the kind of person who could shoulder the weight of humanity's survival. And Armin, with all his doubt, needed that push more than ever.

Before anyone could speak further, the distant, deep toll of a massive bell echoed across the district of Odel. The heavy sound sent a ripple through the air, unsettling even the quiet of the room. Eren, confused, furrowed his brow. "Did Erwin carry out an expedition or something?"

Levi shook his head, his expression darkening. "No... He didn't inform me. If there was Hange would've said something about it…"

Suddenly, hurried footsteps echoed down the corridor, growing louder with every second. Without warning, the door flew open, revealing a panting scout. His eyes were wide, wild with fear, and his teeth clenched as he struggled to catch his breath.

"Captain... Captain Levi..." the scout stammered, his voice trembling. "The Titans... they.... they've breached Wall Rose...!"
