"Arghhhhhh....." Mikasa's shriek pierced the air as she watched Eren being devoured whole by the Titan. "Erennnnnn!" Armin's voice was a desperate cry from a distance, but his attempt to reach Eren was thwarted. He found himself held tightly by Bertholdt.
"Armin, wait... Do you have a death wish... You can't just go in storming towards the titans.... they'll kill you without a second thought." Bertholdt's voice was firm, trying to restrain him.
"Let go of me if you want to live..." Armin's voice was shaky and heavy, filled with a threat born from desperation. Tears streamed down his face, falling onto Bertholdt's hands as they clamped around him.
"It's too late, Armin. He's gone..." Bertholdt's words were solemn as Armin's tears poured down, staining his grip.
Seeing Mikasa collapsed and crying on the ground, Sasha acted quickly. She maneuvered through the chaos and scooped Mikasa up, pulling her away from the advancing horde.
Mikasa was beyond her senses, her eyes vacant yet streaming with tears. Her sobs were unending and uncontrollable, and for a moment, she felt as though her heart had stopped. She struggled to breathe.
"Mikasa..." Historia, also in tears, approached her and wrapped her in a comforting embrace. But Mikasa's hands were pressed tightly against her skull, a massive headache gripping her with unbearable intensity. Saliva dripped from her mouth, which hung open as tears flowed into it.
"It hurts... Erehhh! My head, it hurts!!." Mikasa cried out, her voice strained. Whispers echoed in her ears, adding to her torment.
"I told you, your efforts are futile... No matter how hard you try Eren Yeager's death is an inevitable truth...." The voice taunted her, its words cutting through her agony.
The blonde Titan, having achieved its mission, vanished with a menacing smirk. The horde of Titans, instead of attacking the cadets, dispersed, leaving the battlefield in eerie silence.
"Mikasa, are you alright?" Annie appeared in a glimpse leaving her titan form decomposing not too far away, her fake concern was evident as she approached Mikasa.
"What kind of question is that...?" Jean's voice still laced with frustration and jealousy as he watched Mikasa's emotional breakdown. Why wouldn't Mikasa look at someone else except for Eren?
Armin rushed to Mikasa, tears streaming down his face, but he was too late. Mikasa's pain, suddenly and unexpectedly, gave way to a surge of clarity. She snapped back to reality, her stoic demeanor revealing the raw, determined resolve of an Ackerman.
"Ereh... He's not dead. I know it. He... He didn't die. He wasn't eaten..." Mikasa's voice trembled as tears stormed out, but her conviction remained unshaken.
"Mikasa, what are you saying? You saw it yourself..." Ymir shook her, trying to understand her denial.
"Keep quiet, Ymir... He's waiting for me. He wasn't eaten just swallowed. We don't have time. We need to act quickly. He might be waiting for me to get him out of the Titan..." Mikasa reassured herself with desperate hope, clinging to the belief that Eren was still alive in the Titan's abdomen and that she could save him.
"You're wrong, Mikasa... Titans have stomach acid just like humans. By now, he'll be—" Reiner said, feigning sorrow, though deep down he was filled with satisfaction.
"Shut up! No one asked you... He's not a weakling. I know he's waiting for me!" Mikasa's voice was filled with a mix of desperation and fury.
Annie stepped forward, her expression cold but her words sharp. "That's enough, Mikasa. This world is much bigger than you and your Eren. There are more lives hanging in the balance. We can't risk them just to chase after a Titan on false hope..."
Mikasa's grip on her swords tightened, her eyes burning with determination. "Fine. Get lost, you unskilled worms... He sacrificed his life for us, and look at how much of a cowards you all are!" she spat, her voice trembling with raw emotion.
Jean, always outspoken, couldn't hold back. "Wait, Mikasa, it's too dangerous! You can't beat Titans on your own! You won't manage to survive."
Mikasa barely glanced at him. "If I can't beat them, I die. Mind your own business and head to the supply center." Without another word, she launched her hooks and took off, her only thought being to save Eren, whom she refused to believe was gone—no matter what the others thought.
"Mikasa!" Armin's voice cracked as he called after her, but his plea fell on deaf ears. "Shit..." he muttered, wiping his tears and launching his hooks to catch up, but Mikasa was too fast, disappearing into the dust ahead.
Connie followed, but when Jean tried to join, Connie grabbed his arm. "Hey, you're the only one left who can guide the rest to the center," Connie said, his tone urgent. Jean hesitated, but then nodded. Marco backed Connie up, persuading Jean that the others needed him. Reluctantly, Jean agreed, and the rest of the cadets headed in the opposite direction toward the supply center.
Mikasa, pushing her limits, barely noticed her surroundings. "Ereh... Please, I beg you... wait for me..." she whispered, her voice breaking as tears slipped from her eyes. She kept maneuvering, her heart racing. Suddenly, an aberrant Titan lunged out of nowhere.
"I don't have time to waste on you!" Mikasa shouted, dodging its massive jaws with ease and delivering a clean, precise strike to its nape. The Titan collapsed lifelessly behind her, but her focus was already ahead, her eyes scanning desperately for the bearded Titan that had devoured Eren.
But there was no sign of it.
Mikasa tore through the Titans with a fierce determination, her Ackerman instincts guiding each precise, deadly strike. One after another, they fell before her, but her heart was still heavy with sorrow. Armin and Connie, struggling to keep up, watched in awe at her fluid movements but were quickly running out of gas.
"Where... Where are you... Eren? Are you even... aliv...." Mikasa thought, her mind started clouding up with grief and doubts as the cold air whipped against her tear-streaked face. She searched relentlessly, but there was no sign of him.
Soon, Armin and Connie, stranded and out of gas, huddled together on a high rooftop. They weren't in immediate danger, but they had no way to move. The only thing left was a flare gun in Armin's hand, a final hope to call for help.
As for Mikasa, despair consumed her. "Erehhhh!" she screamed, her voice raw with anguish. "Erehhh!" Each cry was more desperate than the last, but it felt useless. She had no sign, no trace of him. Her hope was fading fast.
Without realizing it, she had burned through all the gas Eren had saved for her. Her last burst sent her flying toward a nearby rooftop, but her momentum faltered, and she stumbled, crashing into a dark alleyway below. She landed in a dumpster, the impact cushioned just enough to prevent serious injury. But the pain she felt inside, the crushing agony of loss, was beyond anything physical.
Curled up in the dumpster, tears streamed down her face. "Eren..." she whispered, the weight of hopelessness pressing down on her chest. All her strength, all her effort, had led to this—a devastating emptiness. No resources nothing to search for him.
----------------------------------------
"Jean, what do we do now?!" a panicked cadet shouted, looking to him for leadership amidst the chaos.
With gritted teeth, Jean clenched his fists. "Advance, cadets! We won't let our comrade's sacrifices be in vain!" he yelled, his voice fierce and determined. The group surged forward, pushing through their fear as they left behind the bodies of their fallen comrades.
Titans emerged from every direction, grabbing some of the cadets mid-air, their massive hands crushing them with terrifying force. But the survivors had no choice—they had to keep moving. Each step forward felt like defiance against their inevitable doom.
Finally, they reached the supply center, only to be met with a horrifying sight. The equipment area within was crawling with titans, and the supply team was in shambles. Some of the soldiers, having lost all hope, had taken their own lives, preferring death by their own hand rather than being crushed mercilessly in a titan's jaws.
Fury surged through Jean as he saw two cadets standing idly by, too terrified to act. He immediately marched up to them and, with two swift punches, knocked some sense into them. "Why didn't you report anything?!"
The other cadets hesitated but knew Jean was right. He quickly took command, directing them toward the equipment area. "Focus on the titans! If we don't take them out, we're all as good as dead!" His words were sharp, decisive—there was no room for hesitation.
Under Jean's command, the cadets decided to the titans guarding the equipment, hoping to reclaim enough supplies to fight back. Even with the odds stacked against them, Jean's determination to survive—and to honor everyone's sacrifice—pushed them forward.
Marco, always thinking ahead, devised a strategy to tackle the titans efficiently. He announced his plan to the group. Some of them would blind the titans with gunfire, and the top ten excluding him and Mikasa will take out eight titans, one for each cadet.
The plan was risky but their best shot at survival. Jean, Reiner, Annie, and the others nodded in agreement. With guns at the ready, the cadets launched the blinding assault. Gunfire echoed through the air, temporarily disorienting the titans. The top 8 cadets, taking advantage of the distraction, swooped in with their blades. Each cadet moved with precision, targeting a titan's weak spot.
One by one, the titans fell, their bodies crashing to the ground as the cadets struck their napes with lethal efficiency. The strategy worked flawlessly, and within minutes, the threat was neutralized. The once terrifying supply center was now cleared of titans.
Laughter and relief spread through the group, a sharp contrast to the fear that had consumed them just moments ago. They had survived against overwhelming odds, and for the first time, the weight on their shoulders felt lighter. The cadets refueled their gas tanks, knowing that their ordeal was almost over.
"Just a little further, and we're out of here," Jean said, a small smile forming. The others echoed his sentiment, their spirits lifted as they prepared to leave the district.
All that remained was getting past the wall. The scout regiment would take care of the rest. For now, they could see the light at the end of the tunnel, and hope returned to their weary hearts.
---------------------------------------
The rain poured harder, cold droplets tracing the lines of Mikasa's weary face. Her soaked hair clung to her skin, masking her expression. She felt drained, her body aching from battle, her heart shattered. Mikasa's mind drifted, lost in the echo of her own thoughts.
"The world is cruel... but it's also beautiful… because you're my world, Eren."
She reflected on the emptiness his absence had carved into her. " But what's the purpose of life if you're not in it?"
The distant rumble of a colossal titan interrupted her thoughts. It emerged, towering above her, its hand outstretched toward her small, frail figure.
"It was a good life... Just being with you made me so happy..."
Closing her eyes, Mikasa waited for the end, accepting Eren's death, accepting the inevitability of the titan's grasp. But then, something deep within her stirred—a burning sensation that she couldn't ignore. An instinct. A force inside her screamed to fight, to survive.
"Argh!"
Her eyes snapped open, and her blade flashed through the air, slicing the titan's hand. The titan roared, clutching its severed appendage, but quickly swung again, its massive fist flying toward her. Mikasa barely dodged, but the impact sent her crashing into the hard stone wall.
Breathing heavily, Mikasa struggled to stand. Confusion swept over her, battling the emotions coursing through her veins.
"Why… Why am I still fighting?"she wondered aloud. "I had already given up… I was ready. Then why do I keep resisting? What keeps pushing me?"
Her body ached, her mind screamed for rest, but something within her, an undeniable force, refused to quit. Perhaps it was the blood of the Ackermans, or maybe it was the undying bond she shared with Eren. She didn't know, but whatever it was, it kept her moving.
Thud
Mikasa ran desperately, trying to escape the looming titan, but her path was blocked by another—a towering, muscular creature with a rebellious face and a powerful build. Her heart raced as she found herself cornered, unable to escape.
"FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT..."The words echoed in her mind, relentless and sharp, accompanied by a sudden, small headache. Then, in the midst of the confusion, she whispered, "Eren..."
"KILL OR BE KILLED. THE ONLY WAY TO LIVE IS TO FIGHT!"The command reverberated within her, and Mikasa's eyes widened, tears escaping from them, blurring her vision as the drizzle turned to a heavier rain, soaking her through.
She gritted her teeth, realization crashing over her. "You've always been like this drizzle, haven't you, Eren...?"she whispered, her voice shaking. "You always came back, no matter how much you fell, and sacrificed yourself so I could live... And yet, I gave up on living..."
Her fists clenched around the sword hilt, trembling, but not from fear—this time, it was from something deeper, something primal. "I'm so sorry, Eren... But I'm through giving up... Because if I die, these beautiful memories of you die with me."Her voice grew in strength, her heart now surging with a renewed fire. "That's why I'll do whatever it takes to win! Whatever it takes to live!"
With a furious roar, Mikasa raised her sword, the rain washing away her sorrow and doubt. "Gahhhhhhhhh!" she screamed, her eyes burning with resolve as she launched herself toward the titan that had nearly taken her life moments ago. There was no hesitation, no fear—just the raw will to survive, to fight for the memories, and for the future that Eren had given her.
However...
PUNCH!
The other titan behind Mikasa delivered a brutal blow to the face of the titan in front of her, sending it crashing to the ground with a deafening roar. "ARGHHHHHHHHHH!"The wounded titan screamed in agony as the Attack Titan moved in swiftly, tearing through its body with unrelenting fury. Mikasa, bewildered by the sudden turn of events, whispered to herself, "What was that...?"
The Attack Titan, driven by an intense rage that seemed to consume it, mercilessly crushed the fallen titan's nape under its powerful leg. Mikasa watched in shock, unable to comprehend why the titan would attack its own kind so fiercely.
As the chaos settled, the Attack Titan's piercing green eyes turned toward Mikasa. She felt a strange familiarity in those eyes, a reminder of someone dear to her. Mikasa gripped her sword tightly, unsure of what to expect next. To her surprise, the titan knelt down before her, extending its massive hand and gently grasping her trembling figure.
"What... what is he doing?" Mikasa muttered, her voice filled with uncertainty. Despite her instincts telling her to be cautious, she found herself stepping onto the titan's colossal palm. The titan moved its head closer to Mikasa's, rubbing its forehead against hers in a gesture that felt surprisingly gentle.
Tears welled up in Mikasa's eyes as she reached out and stroked the titan's forehead, overwhelmed by conflicting emotions. "Why... why can't all the other titans be like you? Why did they took him away from me?" she whispered, her voice trembling with sadness and longing.
The titan's other hand moved toward her, its fingers brushing against her hair in a tender manner. It seemed to be trying to communicate with her, urging her to trust it. With a mix of awe and confusion, Mikasa followed the titan's gesture and climbed onto its shoulder, standing tall despite her doubts.
Suddenly a titan appeared out of nowhere it's voice shattered the air as it barreled toward them. In a swift, powerful motion, the Attack Titan struck, its colossal fist smashing into the titan's head and sending it hurtling into a distant tower. The Attack Titan payed it no mind and started sprinting towards the supply center at high-speed.
Mikasa, tethered securely to the titan's body with her hooks, was jolted with each movement but kept her grip firm. The titan's relentless charge plowed through any adversaries that dared to obstruct their path, each titan falling with a fatal blow. As they sped across the battlefield, Mikasa's focus was sharp, her determination unwavering.
As Mikasa and the Attack Titan neared the supply center, every titan in their path was dispatched with ruthless efficiency. The boundaries of the supply center was teeming with titans, their presence a dire threat to the survivors within.
"Hey," Mikasa murmured to the titan. "Thank you for saving me… My life is incredibly precious. My most beloved is the reason I'm here. I couldn't die there. Because of you, I'm alive… Thank you." Her gratitude seemed to resonate deeply with the titan, whose reaction was a visible blush. Mikasa, taken aback by this response, felt a mix of confusion and awe.
As they arrived at the supply center, a titan lunged toward them, its gaping mouth aimed directly at the human–Mikasa. With a powerful swipe, the Attack Titan intercepted the assault, delivering a decisive punch into the titan's mouth. The force of the blow caused the titan's head to explode in a shower of debris, and the beast fell lifelessly to the ground.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?" Connie and Armin exclaimed in disbelief, their eyes locked on the scene before them. Armin's relief at seeing Mikasa alive was tempered by the shocking sight of a titan battling and killing other titans.
The Attack Titan roared mightily, a thunderous sound that reverberated through the area. It then carried Mikasa to a nearby rooftop, gently depositing her there.
"Mikasa!" Armin and Connie rushed to her side, their faces etched with concern and confusion. "What's going on?" Connie asked, bewildered.
Mikasa, still processing the surreal events, looked at her friends with a mix of relief and uncertainty. "I… I don't know," she said, her voice trembling. "But this titan… it saved me. It understands me, and it's fighting the others."
"Just another abnormal, I guess," Connie remarked, though he was clearly still shaken by the sight.
"No," Armin countered, his mind racing. "It can't be just an abnormal. Could it be something like the Colossal or Armored Titan?"
"Of course not," Connie said dismissively. "If it were one of those, it wouldn't be fighting its own kind. It's just another abnormal. The last thing we want is for it to change its mind and come after us. Let's move."
Armin, still anxious, nodded in agreement. "Mikasa, we need to get out of Trost quickly. The higher-ups are here too. Refill your supplies as soon as possible."
Mikasa hesitated, her mind still fixated on Eren. "But Eren…"
Armin, trying to offer some fake hope, said, "Our first priority is escaping and getting to higher ground. From there, we can look for the titan that ate Eren. We need to use our brains and be strategic, not reckless."
Mikasa took a deep breath, realizing that focusing on survival and strategy was crucial. She nodded in agreement and headed into the supply center, where the cadets were preparing for their next move.
"Wait… What, Mikasa?" Jean whispered, his anxiety evident. Armin's flare had signaled for help, and the cadets who went to secure the area were worried when they discovered Mikasa was missing.
"So, did you find him?" Annie, usually indifferent approached Mikasa and asked with a hint of curiosity.
"I will, once I've filled these cylinders with gas," Mikasa responded hurriedly, moving to refill her equipment.
"Tch, whatever," Annie muttered, turning her attention to Reiner and Bertholdt, who were in a corner pretending to strategize but were actually reveling in their success.
"Great work, Annie," Reiner said with a sly grin. "He was strong, but what about his teacher? You do realize he'd be strong as well? Want to take him down as well?"
Annie's focus shifted as she considered the possibility. "She's right, Reiner. We might not get another chance. Plus, since Levi was near the breached gate, the area might be swarming with titans. It's a perfect opportunity. We can control them all and just like that wipe the Levi squad out."
Reiner nodded, a hint of confusion on his face. "How do you plan on getting out of here undetected?" he asked, knowing that their earlier success had relied on the chaos of separation and transformation, but now the situation seemed far more controlled.
"Don't worry, I've got a plan," Annie replied confidently, her eyes narrowing with determination as she using her brain unfolded. Both Reiner and bertholdt exchanged shocked glances.
"Well, that's one way to do it," Reiner said with a smile, acknowledging Annie's confidence and the potential of her plan. The air was tense with anticipation as they prepared to execute their strategy, each aware of the stakes involved.
————————————
On the other side, the Attack Titan continued its relentless assault, but it was evident that it was reaching its limits. Its fists, once powerful and unyielding, now showed signs of wear, no longer healing as swiftly as before.
As the cadets emerged outside, their eyes fell upon the sight of the Attack Titan in combat. "What… is that? Some sort of beast?" One of the cadet muttered. "Look, he's killing other titans… haha…" one cadet remarked with a mix of awe and relief, amused by the titan's aggressive defense. Yet, others were paralyzed with fear, anxious about the possibility of becoming the titan's next target.
The titans that had surrounded the Attack Titan were soon dispatched, but the damage was severe. Its arms were torn and its flesh partially consumed. The titan's massive frame finally gave in, collapsing to the ground. The once blazing green eyes, which had cut through the darkness with fierce intensity, now lay lifeless and dim.
"Tch, the bastard didn't have enough fight left in him. Whatever, Cadets let's move out…" one of the observers said dismissively, signaling the others to continue with their mission. The cadets, torn between their awe of the titan's power and their fear of its potential threat, followed orders as they prepared to leave.
However, for some the order to move out fell on deaf ears. Annie, Bertholdt, and Reiner stood frozen, their legs trembling.
"What the fuck… How? How is he even alive? After fighting me… after being devoured… how did he manage to…" Reiner's thoughts were chaotic, and he could only react with uncontrollable retching.
"I killed him myself, then how…" Annie's whisper was filled with disbelief, her mouth hanging open in shock. Bertholdt, his face slick with sweat, remained silent, unable to process the scene. Moments ago the three assholes were planning on killing Levi and his squad but the fact that Eren was still alive was enough to break their confidence.
Mikasa and Armin, their faces etched with sadness, looked on as the titan lay defeated. "Cadets, what's wrong? Have you all gone deaf? Move out before more titans flood this area!" the order came sharply.
"Yes, sir…" the cadets responded, snapping back to their senses. Yet, Mikasa remained rooted to the spot, her gaze locked on the fallen titan. Her eyes, filled with despair, widened suddenly as she noticed something.
"Huh?" Mikasa's attention shifted to the nape of the titan, where it began to open. A figure emerged, eyes closed, unconscious and still.
Mikasa quickly released her hooks, maneuvering towards the fallen titan. As she entered the steam-filled air, each step echoed in the narrow street. Her heart pounded harder with every step, a mix of hope and fear driving her forward.
"Eren!" Mikasa's whisper was both a plea and a declaration, her eyes locked on the figure in her arms. As Eren's battered form nestled against her, crumbling in her arms, a sense of calm washed over his fainted body finding remorse in her embrace. She rested her head on his chest, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat offering a poignant solace. The floodgates opened once more, and her tears flowed freely, mingling with the rain.
Armin arrived breathlessly, and the sight before him struck him with a deep emotional weight. The realization of Eren's survival, despite everything, filled him with a mix of disbelief and relief.
"What… how…" Armin stammered, disbelief etched across his face. "I saw him die. I saw him get eaten…"
He took Eren's right hand, which was miraculously healed, and gripped it tightly. The touch seemed to anchor him in the reality of Eren's survival, though the events that had transpired were still overwhelming.
"Tch, this idiot never learns…" A familiar voice cut through the moment. It was Levi and his squad, who had successfully ensured the complete evacuation of Trost. Levi's tone was tinged with frustration, having waited for Eren's return for a while.
Armin, still in shock, looked at the squad and asked, "Captain, how… what… who is Eren?" His voice trembled, struggling to comprehend the reality of his childhood friend's miraculous survival.
"That's something he doesn't even know himself…" Levi said softly, his gaze fixed on Eren. "Oi, brat, let him rest. He's been through a lot today."
But Mikasa, lost in her grief and relief, didn't move. She continued to weep, clutching Eren tightly as if afraid to let him go again.
———————————————
Levi, after a struggle, managed to carry Eren to the rooftop of the supply center, where the higher vantage point offered more safety from the surrounding titans. Mikasa, still overcome with emotion, clung to Eren, her tears soaking into his shirt. Despite Levi's attempts to separate them, their bond seemed unbreakable in that moment.
As Eren slowly regained consciousness, the warmth of Mikasa's embrace and her anguished cries reached him. His mind raced, piecing together the fragmented memories of what had happened. The reality of his survival and the chaos that unfolded began to sink in as he found himself enveloped in Mikasa's desperate hold.
A faint smile appeared on Eren's face as he slowly opened his eyes. One hand wrapped around Mikasa's waist, while the other gently caressed her silky hair. "Man, how much do you even intend to cry today…" Eren teased, though his tone was soft, and his words were laced with genuine warmth. Mikasa's tears had dampened his shirt, but he didn't seem to mind.
Mikasa, still clinging to him, couldn't stop the tears, her emotions a whirlwind of relief and lingering fear.
"Look, you've got me all wet…" Eren said, his tone light but carrying an unintended suggestive edge. Levi, remembering a similar phrase from a few nights ago, found himself blushing slightly. He glanced at Petra, who was also reddening, then back at Eren.
"Idiot, do you even know what that means?" Levi said, his irritation mixed with embarrassment. "At least try to say things correctly."
Eren shook his head, about to respond, but before his pure soul could ask Levi however Mikasa interrupted them.
"It's because of you, Eren… you're the whole reason I'm going through so much pain," Mikasa whispered, her voice trembling as she rested her head on his shoulder.
Eren looked at her with a teasing smile, though his eyes were soft. "Hm? What did I even do…"
Mikasa pulled away slightly, her fingers gently tracing his cheeks. "I… I mean… why do you always come and go? Why can't you just let me stay by your side?" Mikasa complained her words instead of making Eren blush made Levi and Petra red.
Her voice cracked, revealing the depth of her anguish as she held his face in her hands, searching for answers in his eyes.
"Ah…" Petra, now even redder, glanced at Levi, who was similarly flushed. "Teenagers these days don't seem to know what they're saying, do they?" Hange chuckled softly, though a tear of loneliness slipped down Hange's cheek as she observed Mikasa and Eren– a bit too traumatizing. The two were too absorbed in their tender moment to notice the others, lost in their own world.
The Levi squad did every last thing shattering Eren's sweet moment with Mikasa with their dirty minds however it'd take more than that to break their focus of each other.
"Mikasa… know this," Eren said, his voice filled with sincerity, "No matter how far away I go… I will always come back to you. I promise. Now and forever."
He smiled warmly, and in a moment of pure emotion, he kissed her forehead. "Aaaaaa…" The shock was palpable; everyone, including Mikasa, was stunned. Her cheeks turned a deep crimson, her mouth agape as she looked around, searching for a place to hide. Instead, she nestled her head against Eren's chest, her body trembling slightly as she buried her flushed face in his embrace. In that embrace, it felt like eternal bliss for her.
Everyone burst into hearty laughter, except for Jean, whose jealousy reached new heights. Eren, though visibly embarrassed, couldn't help but smile as he caressed Mikasa's hair hiding her in between his arms. His cheeks were flushed, and soon he got engaged in conversation with Armin, who was still astonished by Eren's fully healed arm.
"Oi, idiot, what took you so long to transform?" Levi's voice carried a hint of disappointment.
Eren shrugged, explaining. Apparently his body needed to be completely healed before he could transform. So, while he was inside the titan, he spent time punching its stomach walls, just messing around before finally ripping it apart from the inside out. It wasn't pretty, but it worked–so cruel.
Levi shook his head, a mix of exasperation and reluctant admiration in his eyes, as he listened to Eren's casual recounting of the kills. " Oi Levi how many did you kill this time..." Eren still embracing Mikasa asked. Levi simple reply," Fifty.... And you???"
" Heh... Heh... Heh... Fifty one... Looks like I beat you this time...." Eren mocked. Everyone chuckled including Mikasa who had her head buried deep in Eren's chest.
"So, Vice Commander, what's the plan?" Petra interfered, her eyes reflecting a hint of joy as she glanced at Eren and Mikasa.
Eren took a deep breath and said, "Call Pixis and Erwin. We won't leave until we've reclaimed Trost."
His words hung heavily in the air, leaving everyone in stunned silence. Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie, along with the rest, were taken aback by the bold declaration. " Take back Trost....?" Reiner wondered. The fate of humanity's first major offensive against the Titans now rested on the uncertain shoulders of this ambitious plan.
