Chapter 1 - Alexander Hamilton

Five years ago, I died in my old world and came back to life in a novel where I'm set to die in a monster attack, kind of like a disposable character. In this new world, money and magic matter the most. Magic is tied to special blood, split into three types: Alpha, Beta, and Omega.

Alphas have strong pheromones and magic that attract Omegas and Betas. Betas are usually average folks with weak magic who can barely smell the pheromones of Alphas and Omegas. Omegas have sweet-smelling pheromones and few magical powers, sorted into types, dominant, regular, or recessive, at the age of fifteen.

I'm Alexander Hamilton, a dominant Omega and an Avatar Conjurer. The book paints me as rude, cold, and doubtful, the heir of the Hamilton family. Despite my attitude, I'm just a tool in the main character's love story. I die by drinking poisoned wine meant for the guy I love, who never even glanced my way. The book doesn't say what magic I have since I kick the bucket in Chapter One. And Today's only the prologue to my story.

"What does 'Avatar Conjurer' mean?" I wonder.

The world's dangerous, with monsters everywhere and disasters striking often. A sudden headache and heat spread through me, along with a fruity scent.

"That smell... Strawberry toffee?" Despite the mess in my head, I call my helper, Mia, who's a Beta. She can't sense the smell on me, so she gives me a pill to cool down.

"Young master, do you feel better?" Mia asks as she helps me lie down.

"Y-yeah, thanks. What's going on?" I pant.

"It's 'heat', a thing Omegas go through. Take pills during heat or get a partner to mark you," Mia explains before leaving.

"So, this is heat? Feels like a bad fever," I think and close my eyes.

Novels Books always has a handsome, social guy and a shy, pretty girl. As a background villain, I'm unimportant and bound to die without love. Not cool.

At the dinner table, we talk about my transfering for sophomore school.

"Take your pills at school to avoid trouble, okay?" my Omega mom says warmly.

"Yeah, Mom," I smile. I think it's not my rights to call her my mom because I'm not the real Alexander and in my past life, I took care of myself since my parents died when I was little.

"If someone bothers you, call us or bring guards," my overprotective, good-looking Alpha dad says before his phone rings. "I've got to take this," he says, leaving to answer the call.

"Alexander, I already bought a house in the city near your school, and you'll have bodyguards and maids with you at school, disguised as students and teachers," my father spoke seriously, hinting at something significant.

"B-but Dad..." I tried to object, but my mother intervened, "You know we're always busy in other countries and no one can protect you. Your guards won't stand out; they'll blend in and keep you safe," she reassured me, leaving me speechless at the thought of living with constant surveillance.

"I understand, Mom," I mumbled, then added, "But I have a condition."

Surprised, they waited as I explained, "I want to attend a public school, not a private and fancy one. The guards and maids can come with me to school."

They nodded, and my father remarked, "If that's what you want, they'll watch over you."

This way, I could avoid the Male lead and just lead a normal high school life again. As my parents left, my mother reminded me to keep in touch.

They assigned ten bodyguards and five maids to me, all formidable dominant Betas. The Hamilton family's wealth was no joke.

We drove to the house they mentioned. The sight of our residence being in the Golden District, the city's top area, didn't surprise me anymore; it was a mansion.

"It's not surprising, but my parents sure spoil me," I thought, chiding myself for being stuck in unrequited love when I had a wonderful family. Things needed to change — I had to protect myself to ensure my parents didn't meet a tragic end.

Ready for school at Gintong Bato University, once a top institution, now on the brink of sale due to a discovery by the protagonist.

"Did Dad give me my allowance, Mia?" I asked, recalling Alexander's monthly budget of a hundred thousand.

"Yes, young master, it's a black card," Mia replied, handing me the rare card with an undisclosed fortune inside. When she revealed it held a hundred trillion, I was stunned.

"Wait, that's too much for a kid like me," I stammered. The wealth was overwhelming, a reminder of my privileged status as the sole heir of the Hamilton family.

Focusing on buying the university under the alias Jameson Viola, I instructed Mia to proceed, surprising her with the sudden change in plans.
