Chapter 7 - Chapter 8: A Sudden Attack

In a grand room, the Elder of the Elven village conversed with someone addressed as the King of the Elves.

"Did you call me, Your Majesty?" the Elder asked respectfully.

"Yes, Elder. I want to inquire about the human you brought," the King replied.

"As usual, he is just a normal traveler who got lost, as he claimed. I haven't noticed any hostile intentions from him," the Elder responded.

"Very well, then bring him to me. I wish to speak with him," the King began, but before he could continue, a commotion erupted as someone burst into the room, screaming, "My lord! Emergency! Emergency!"

Startled, the King asked, "What's wrong, Commander?"

"The demons are coming!" the Commander exclaimed urgently. "Our scouts have reported an army of demons advancing towards us. They believe there might be a Demon General leading them."

The Elder reacted with disbelief. "A Demon General?"

"Yes, that's what I heard," the Commander confirmed.

"Prepare for battle. We must ready ourselves for war," the King declared, his demeanor grave. The Commander saluted and hurried out to prepare the defenses.

Meanwhile, Runy, Rudy, and Roky rushed into the room. Rudy asked urgently, "Elder, have you seen Rena?"

"No, I haven't. What's wrong?" the Elder inquired.

Roky interjected angrily, "That human piece of crap took her somewhere!"

The Elder was shocked. "What?"

"Yes, Elder. We saw her with him last, and now she's gone," Runy explained anxiously. "What should we do?"

The King interjected sternly, "Elder, I've warned you before about trusting humans—"

Before he could finish, Rena suddenly appeared, running towards them. Everyone in the room visibly relaxed upon seeing her.

The Elder asked, relieved, "Rena, where were you?"

"I was in the southern midlands. Zeix asked me to teach him some basic magic, as he said he would need it later," Rena explained calmly.

The Elder's expression changed. "So, that's what it is."

Confusion spread among those present. Rudy asked, "What do you mean, Elder?"

The Elder replied gravely, "That young man knew before any of us that the demons were going to attack our village."

In the next scene, Zeix stood on a mountain cliff, gazing towards the approaching army of demons heading for the jungle.

"Well, time to get to work," Zeix declared determinedly.
