The red-eyed man clenched his fists tightly at the way Shane was treating Ruby. His anger made the surrounding objects suddenly shatter, especially the window of Ruby and Shane's room. Ruby squealed in shock as her window suddenly shattered. Shane immediately hugged Ruby's body, and his eyes immediately turned towards the window where the broken window was. Shane's eyes could finally see Arthur, whose eyeballs were red and whose face was so angry.
"Relax, baby, I've got you. Everything will be fine," Shane said in a soft tone of voice as he rubbed his wife's back. He had also returned his gaze to his wife.
He tried to ignore Arthur's presence in his room and mess up this apartment. He didn't want to be affected by Arthur at all. He just had to focus on Ruby and calm the frightened Ruby down. He wanted to go up to Arthur and stop what Arthur was doing. However, he didn't want to face his wife's questions. He also didn't want his wife to know that he knew Arthur. He also didn't want her to know about the past that had hurt his pride as a man.
Continuing to hug and soothe his wife until Ruby was completely calm, he broke his embrace. Shane's hands now cupped Ruby's cheeks. His thumbs moved to wipe away the remnants of tears on her face.
"Don't be afraid, hum. I'm here," Shane said soothingly with a smile.
"I want to move, I don't want to be here anymore," Ruby said with a sigh.
"Yes, we're moving. Let's get ready, Besides moving, you also have a photo shoot. I'll drop you off first, and then I'll come back here to get our stuff. Only clothes, right? Because the contents in the house are already filled by your parents and you too," Shane said with a smile.
"Yes," Ruby replied, her voice hoarse and still choking on her tears.
"Already baby, don't cry anymore. Everything is fine," Shane said as he wiped away his wife's tears that fell down her cheeks.
Ruby and Shane prepared to leave while Arthur was already gone. He couldn't stand Shane's closeness with Ruby. However, he couldn't do anything about it. If he forced Shane to come with him, there was a possibility that Shane could run away again. Just then, the gate that he had shielded and believed Shane wouldn't get out of the building finally did.
It was better to hold back and wait for the red moon to arrive. Even though there was a chance of failure, Arthur believed he could make Shane his own.
Arthur let out a roar that shook the entire building. His subordinates were so startled by their employer's roar that objects in the house fell out of place.
"What's wrong with Mr. Arthur?" one of the maids asked Elia.
"I don't know either, but it's usually something to do with Mr. Shane," Elia said.
"It's been five years and there's been no sign of Mr. Shane, so Mr. Arthur should forget about Mr. Shane. After all, what good is Mr. Shane? He was often rude to Mr. Arthur. Mr. Shane is also a man, he won't give Mr. Arthur any offspring. It's better..." The woman's speech stopped, and her face now looked shy.
"Don't expect a maid like you to be ogled by Sir Arthur," said one of the maids.
"Well, let's just say you're jealous of my beauty, right? All the men always look at me when we go out," said the woman confidently.
The woman who had said not to expect to be liked by Arthur just rolled her eyes lazily while Elia just let them argue. She didn't like Shane at first, but Shane's presence made the house feel warm and not cold at all. Arthur also smiled a lot, although he only smiled when he was with Shane. At least there were smiles from the 300 years she had lived in this house with Arthur. As long as she lived here, there wasn't a day or even a second when a smile didn't come from Arthur's lips.
Shane's departure from this house made the house very chaotic. Arthur often roared loudly and even destroyed everything in front of him when he was angry. In fact, every maid who did something that made him angry could die immediately at Arthur's hands. If it wasn't for Frederick, there would be no maids in this house.
Days passed, it had been almost three months since Shane was married. They were already living in the house that Ruby's father had bought them as a wedding present. Since the incident at the apartment that made them both immediately move into the house, Shane had never seen Arthur's presence in their house. It was just that every time Shane went out alone, he always felt followed by someone. However, he never found anyone following him. Perhaps Arthur was actually the one who was always around. It's just that he didn't show himself like at the apartment.
He also had no idea of Arthur's existence before the broken glass finally allowed him to see Arthur with his red eyes. It was frightening to see Arthur's red eyes like a werewolf about to devour him. He didn't know who Arthur really was. He wanted to think that Arthur was a werewolf, but he had never seen Arthur's werewolf form. Arthur always ate food like himself. There was no way a werewolf could eat anything. As for the changing eyeballs, let's just say that Arthur had a unique feature in his eyes that allowed him to change the color of his eyes at will.
Shane and Ruby walked out of the house with Shane hugging Ruby's waist. "I'll take you to the office first, then I'll pick up your dress at the boutique," Shane said.
"Let's go together and try on the dress. Just in case it's too tight," Ruby said.
"No need, honey, you go to the office and have a meeting. I'll get your dress. You had a fitting yesterday, so there are no more dresses that are too small or too big. So, you just go to the office, okay?" Shane asked, then pawed the top of his wife's nose.
He opened the driver's side door and let her in with a smile. Ruby smiled and got into the car. The car drove away from the house. On the way, Ruby kept playing with one of Shane's hands, making Shane smile at his wife's behavior.
"Honey, I'm coming, okay?" asked Ruby, who was still playing with Shane's fingers.
"No need, honey," Shane said in a soft tone, and he looked briefly at his wife before returning his focus to driving.
"You like that designer, huh? That's why you want to meet him yourself." asked Ruby as she squinted at her husband.
"Oh my, no dear. Just to make it faster, you have a meeting and I'll get your clothes. Later tonight you have an event, rather than after the meeting you have to go get clothes, it's better to rest. You've also been feeling unwell lately, right?" asked Shane.
"But I'm fine," Ruby said, lowering her head and bending her lips downward.
"I'll just get some clothes and come back. Okay?" asked Shane trying to negotiate with his wife. I don't know why she was like this, even though she was only picking up clothes.
The car had stopped in front of the company building, Shane kissed his wife's forehead, cheeks and finally lips before he rubbed her head. "There, get in," Shane said.
Ruby's face looked reluctant to get out, "want me to take you in?" asked Shane looking at his wife then rubbing her cheek.
"I'll go in and promise, after getting my clothes you'll come back to the company and meet me," Ruby said as she looked at her husband seriously.
Shane smiled, "of course," she replied. After that, Ruby got out of the car.
"You are only mine," said a brown-eyed man as he stared at Shane's car as it drove away from the front of Ruby's office building.
