His heart was beating so fast that what he was doing now could have killed him. However, he really tried to think positively. I thought that if these werewolves were kind enough not to eat him, they would be kind enough to help him. However, what is happening right now? He heard the sound of howling. But this howl was not as long as the howl that night, the night when he felt pain when he heard it.
Suddenly, he felt something touching his head, he felt it moving to wake him up. It was true, a wolf was making him raise his head. The wolf's head moved as if giving instructions for Shane to get on the back of the wolf, who was bent over in front of him. Shane understood the meaning, and he climbed onto the wolf's hunched body. Another long howl was heard before the wolf immediately ran away from the ravine. It wasn't just one wolf, but a whole pack of wolves were leading him somewhere.
Shane hugged the wolf's neck tightly, his eyes opening to see where he was. He was traveling the same path he had traveled with Arthur. He smiled, he could finally get out of here. He finally reached the end of the forest, and the wolf bent down again so that Shane could get off his body.
Shane looked up at the wolves and smiled. "Thank you for being kind enough to counsel me out of here," Shane said.
"You guys are even better than my debt collectors," Shane said again.
"Hopefully one day I'll see you guys again and be so successful that I can treat you to some really good meat, though I know you can find your own food. Thank you again," Shane said with a smile, and then bent his body with one leg backwards as a sign of gratitude.
The wolf howled before they went back into the forest. Shane stared at the forest for a while. "I'm sorry, I have to go, this isn't where I belong. I promise, I won't tell you what's in this forest. I also promise not to reveal who you are, Arthur," Shane said, and he quickly ran from there.
He had to leave immediately, before his departure was discovered by the people at Arthur's house. Shane kept running, feeling sad but also happy. He was sad because he had to leave the good people there, who would probably get angry at Arthur. Happy, because he could finally be free and breathe in the fresh scent. However, the fresh scent would not be as fresh as if he lived in Arthur's house, but this was his world, and Arthur's house was not his world.
Shane wanted to stop, but he couldn't now. The speed of Arthur's men to catch him was faster than his running now. Shane kept running even though what he was doing now might be in vain, but he tried to keep running away from the forest.
His breathing was already labored, he needed to rest now. His oxygen supply was dwindling as he continued to run fast. He had reached a big road, he kept running until finally he couldn't stand it and stopped in the middle of the road with his eyes blurred. Just as a car was coming towards him and was about to hit him, Shane immediately fainted.
The person who almost hit Shane immediately got off to check on Shane's condition. Shane's face looked red, and the person was quite relieved that Shane was still breathing.
"Excuse me, miss, the man fainted. Shall we call an ambulance or take him to the hospital? I can't find his ID either," the man who had checked on Shane told his mistress.
"He's not hurt, right? If he's not hurt, take him back to the penthouse," said the woman.
"Yes, ma'am," the man replied, asking his friend to help carry Shane to the woman's car.
"Laurent, don't let the media know," the woman said to her manager.
"You take it easy, Ruby, the media won't know about this," Laurent, the woman with shoulder-length hair, said.
Ruby, the woman, looked at Shane, who was sitting next to her, while Laurent moved to the back seat. "He's handsome," Laurent said.
"Do you want to model him?" asked Ruby as she looked at Laurent.
"Maybe, if he wants to," Laurent replied, leaning back in the chair.
"Tsk! You love modeling people. But everyone who doesn't have a problem doesn't remember you anymore," Ruby said, staring ahead.
"What did you do to this anonymous man?" asked Laurent without responding to Ruby's words.
"Nothing, I'm just helping him," Ruby replied without looking at Laurent.
"Why are you helping him? He could be a bad person and deliberately go to the middle of the road?" Laurent asked.
"I don't know, I just wanted to help him," Ruby replied, and Laurent rolled his eyes lazily.
The car continued to drive until it finally stopped in the basement of Ruby's penthouse. Ruby got out first, followed by Laurent, and then her two bodyguards carried the unconscious Shane out of the car. Laurent didn't follow Ruby all the way to her penthouse, she chose to go back to her apartment because she needed to rest after a busy few days of accompanying Ruby on photo shoots and filming.
Shane slept on his bed because there was only one room in the penthouse with a bed. The other two rooms she made into wardrobes, and the other one she made into a warehouse. After Shane was put to bed, the bodyguards took their leave.
Ruby was now sitting in her lounge chair, looking at Shane. She had cleaned herself up and was now only wearing casual clothes. Her oversized t-shirt and shorts. She continued to stare at Shane, like she was never tired of staring at him. She then leaned her body against the lounge chair as she put her cell phone on to listen to relaxation music and read the book she still hadn't finished reading.
Shane slowly opened his eyes. He blinked his eyes a few times until finally he could stare perfectly at the ceiling of Ruby's room. Shane sat up in surprise at the feel of the room that greeted his gaze now. Shane looked around, a room with pastel shades and many accessories, like the woman's room, also caught his gaze.
His gaze, which had been sweeping across the room, now rested on a woman with her hair down, sitting on a lounge chair. The woman was currently asleep. Shane tried to remember what happened, and his last recorded memory was that he was in the middle of the road and about to be hit by a car.
"Is her car going to hit me?" asked Shane as he looked at the woman.
Shane immediately pretended to be asleep when he saw the woman's movement. Ruby, who slowly opened her eyes, turned to Shane, who was still closed. "He still hasn't woken up yet?" she asked no one in particular.
"Should I call Ane's doctor?" she asked again. But not for long, Shane pretended to moan before he opened his eyes.
