Chapter 14 - Crazy Pervert!

Arthur embraced Shane's body, bringing Shane into his arms. Frederick approached his boss, and he confirmed the position of the receptionist, who had been dropped off by Arthur. He also whispered to his boss to return to his place. Although he was reluctant and wanted to crush the receptionist's head because he had just strangled her, the contents of her head had to be destroyed, according to Arthur.

Arthur slightly lifted Shane's body and brought him back to his position. He broke the embrace and cupped Shane's cheek. "Let's go to my room," Arthur said.

"Yes," Shane replied briefly.

Arthur took Shane's hand, and time went back to normal. All the employees returned to normal, and Arthur walked hand in hand with Shane. Frederick and some of Arthur's subordinates followed close behind. Really, Arthur's ears were noisy because he heard the words in the brains of his employees. He felt like smashing the heads of his employees right now. But he couldn't do it in the open like this.

Frederick looked seriously at Shane. Who exactly was Shane that his power couldn't penetrate? There was no way that Shane was not an ordinary human. He had found out about Shane, and Shane had lived with his grandparents since childhood. Both of his parents died in an accident, according to the information he found. He also saw the data of Shane's grandparents, they were both just ordinary humans.

If Shane was a descendant of a pure human, it seemed unlikely. His scent would not smell at all if he had pure blood. Even if he was a race, there was no omega or alpha scent from Shane. However, how could an ordinary human not be affected by his power? Even all those people were affected by his power. Time and all those people stopped moving, which meant that his power did not weaken at all.

Because he was too focused on Shane, he didn't realize that he almost walked into Arthur's room. "What are you doing?" Arthur asked, glaring at Frederick.

"Ah, sorry, sir," said Frederick.

"Find out," Arthur said before closing the door to his office.

Without asking many questions, Frederick understood what Arthur meant. Arthur could read what he was thinking, including his confusion about who Shane was and how his powers had no effect on Shane.

Arthur was already sitting in his chair, while Shane sat on the sofa in the room. "If you're bored, just say so. But now, let me finish my work first," Arthur said as he looked at Shane, who was picking up a magazine on the table in front of the sofa.

"Yes," Shane replied briefly.

Arthur began to work with his documents. While doing his work, Arthur thought about what Frederick was thinking. No wonder he couldn't read Shane's mind, he thought maybe Shane wasn't a person who often monologued in his own mind. Not to mention, the wounds on Shane's body can be quite long, especially if the wound is only a cut. If it was a gunshot wound and there was a bullet lodged, it would probably take a long time to heal. But if it was a cut, he could usually treat the wound in just one night.

Arthur stopped his work and looked at Shane. He stared at Shane long enough not to realize that Shane was now staring at him. "What's wrong?" asked Shane, but it didn't bring Arthur out of his reverie.

Shane didn't bother, he went back to reading another magazine, but then he stopped moving. He needed more entertainment, and he needed his cell phone. While at the mansion, he didn't do anything, let alone play with his cell phone. He had asked, but there was no cell phone use at all. Shane looked back at Arthur, who was still staring at her.

Shane stood up from his seat and walked over to Arthur's desk. "Arthur," Shane called, but was ignored by Arthur.

Shane walked over to Arthur and stood next to Arthur's chair. "Arthur," Shane called again as he held Arthur's shoulders, but Arthur was still silent, making Shane frown.

What's wrong with Arthur? His eyes are still open, but even touching his shoulder, Arthur doesn't budge at all. Shane immediately checked Arthur's pulse on his neck and then placed his index finger in front of Arthur's nose. Shane could still feel Arthur's breathing and pulse.

Shane grabbed Arthur's shoulder again, and this time he shook it more vigorously, making Arthur immediately wake up from his daydream. Actually, he was not daydreaming, he was thinking about what Frederick was thinking, but not for long. He tried to contact his sister via telepathy. He was communicating with his brother about his problem. It was a long distance, and it seemed that his sister's power was not functioning properly to communicate, so their communication was a little disturbed.

"What's wrong?" asked Arthur as he looked at Shane.

"What's wrong with you suddenly becoming a statue?" asked Shane, rolling his eyes lazily. "I don't want you to suddenly die while I'm with you. People will accuse me of killing you!" Shane was annoyed, and he walked away from Arthur.

He walked to the table in front of Arthur so he wouldn't grab him. "Sorry, I was calling my sister. But she seems to be sick, so we can't communicate well," Arthur said, making Shane frown.

"Is he crazy? He is contacting his sister, but not using a cell phone. Instead, he suddenly became a statue. Crazy pervert!" cursed Shane to himself.

"Do you need anything?" Arthur asked, snapping Shane out of his reverie.

"I'm bored, can I ask for my cell phone? You said you don't have a cell phone at home because there's no signal. So, can you give me back my phone?" asked Shane as he extended his hand towards Arthur.

"Cell phone?" asked Arthur as he frowned.

"Ah, that little thing, huh?" asked Arthur again.

Shane frowned. "What did Arthur say, a little thing? Doesn't he have a cell phone?" asked Shane silently.

"Yes, a cell phone," Shane replied.

"Hold on, I'll ask Fred. I don't know where your phone is," said Arthur, and then he closed his eyes, making Shane frown.

"Really, who is he? Is he really not human?" asked Shane silently as Arthur closed his eyes instead of calling Frderick. Although he wasn't sure what Arthur was doing, Arthur was definitely communicating with Frederick.
