Chapter 3 - House In The Forbidden Forest

The man is now standing next to Shane who is not wearing any clothes at all. Only his shorts were still on. Shane stood in front of the mirror and saw that all her wounds were gone. His body was clean with no bruises or scratches at all. He looked at the man beside him in the mirror in front of him.

"How long have I been here?" asked Shane who was still staring at the man beside him in the mirror in front of him.

"One week," the man replied briefly. However, his eyes were now staring hungrily at Shane's tantalizing body.

"One week? You're not kidding?" asked Shane looking at the man as he put his shirt back on.

"Yeah, one week, and that's too long," the man replied, and he turned his body around.

The man who helped Shane couldn't stop himself from pouncing on the man he helped.

"If your body is fine, go downstairs to eat," he said without looking at Shane who was still buttoning his shirt.

Shane immediately walked to the man who helped him. He was still confused about where he was at the moment. Now Shane has walked beside the man.

"Meet me, I'm Shane," Shane said as he extended his hand and walked in front of the man who helped him by walking backwards so he could see the face of the man who helped him.

"Arthur," he replied as he shook Shane's hand, and he immediately pulled Shane's hand so hard that Shane slammed into his chest.

Shane quickly moved his body away. "You want to make me fall?" asked Shane annoyed.

"You'll make yourself fall," Arthur said with a flat face as he stared at the back of Shane's body.

Shane turned his body and saw a staircase, which a few steps away if he continued to walk backwards could make him fall. "Ah, thank you," Shane said to Arthur.

Arthur didn't say anything else, he walked back towards the stairs leading to the dining room. They were already at the dining table. The waiter pulled out chairs for Arthur and Shane to sit on.

"Thank you," Shane said, smiling at the waiter who pulled out the chairs for him.

Shane looked at the interior of the dining room. Not to mention the wide and long dining table and the chairs lined up. It seemed that this house was not only occupied by this man, the man beside him must have a large family.

"Are we just going to eat together?" asked Shane as he looked at Arthur.

"Yes, just the two of us," Arthur replied, and he ate the soup for his starter.

"Your parents? Or your other siblings?" asked Shane as he frowned.

"My parents are dead, and I only have an older sister. She's married, so she doesn't live here," Arthur replied.

Shane nodded his head, after which he didn't speak again. "How did you get into this forest?" asked Arthur suddenly, making Shane now look at Arthur as he frowned.

"This forest? You mean, this house is in the forest that I entered a week ago?" asked Shane whose face was now so shocked. He did not expect that the house he entered now was in the forest.

Last time he remembered, there was indeed a tall black gate. However, he did not expect that behind the gate was a luxurious house like this.

She wasn't sure what forest she entered that night. He just kept running into the forest to avoid the pursuit of debt collectors. He was just trying to save himself at that time.

"Yes," Arthur replied briefly.

"So, how did you get here?" asked Arthur looking seriously at Shane.

"So ...."

Shane began his story when he had to deal with the debt collectors. It was late at night, and Shane was still working at the nightclub. They came to meet Shane at his workplace. Shane, who did not want a scene there to get himself fired later, chose to invite the person out of the nightclub.

"Please, give me time. I'll pay it, I'm not going anywhere, but please give me time to pay it off," Shane begged the tall, white woman who was around 40 years old. Despite being 40 years old, the woman still looked beautiful and young.

"Time? How much more time can I give you? I've already given you a lot of leeway. So hurry up and pay your debt!" the woman was scolded with her arms crossed.

"Madam, please. Please give me more time. My grandmother just passed away a few days ago. I also used the money to treat my grandmother, not for myself. Please, give me more time," Shane begged, and he kneeled before the woman.

"Tsk! You know your grandmother is sick and she's not going to live much longer, but you're so stupid! You shouldn't have to take care of that old woman who's giving her grandson a hard time. She's old, it's time to die!" the woman said in a scornful tone of voice.

"I know Madame has a lot of money, but watch what you say. She's my grandmother, and I'll do anything to make her well. It's better for a woman like you who can't keep her mouth shut to die!" Shane raged as he stood up from his knees.

The woman smiled dismissively, "Hold her!" she ordered her subordinates.

Shane immediately set up a stance to fight the woman's subordinates. The woman stepped aside and let her subordinates beat Shane.

Shane was already battered, as were the woman's subordinates. The woman also came forward because she saw Shane who was catching his breath.

"Die, just like that old woman!" the woman said, thrusting a knife into Shane's stomach.

Shane pushed the woman's body so hard that she fell down. "Kill her!" the woman shouted angrily, and her subordinates immediately approached Shane.

With the last of his strength, Shane pulled the knife out of his stomach and left. He ran while clutching his stomach, which continued to ooze blood.

"I want to live, I want to live," he said as he ran from there.

His life was already hard, but he still wanted to live longer. He was still curious about his way of life. He believed that even though there was no one by his side except his lover, he would be able to find happiness.

Shane ran towards the forest not far from where he worked. His only thought was to live and avoid the debt collectors. Forgetting a fact, the forest not far from his workplace is a forbidden forest. A forest holds a million mysteries because everyone who enters the forest will never come back again.
