"Nora, I love you too," Alex said, his voice filled with tenderness and warmth.
His eyes searched hers, and she could see the love and devotion written in their depths. He leaned forward, as if to kiss her, but the table between them prevented him from doing so.
Nora's smile grew wider, and she playfully chided him. "Well, aren't you the romantic," she teased.
"Romantic or not, I love you, Nora," Alex said, his voice filled with sincerity. "And I want to show you just how much I mean it."
With a mischievous grin, he stood up and pulled Nora to her feet. "Come with me," he said, his voice low and urgent.
