Before going back to the Yi family home, Yi Xian had to complete the business in the North Gate City. He appointed Sui Ling as a director of the Chicken Palace company officially.
The young lady looked stable, calm and proper. She had been very competent during the past few contact. While there was a little suspicion about her intern cousin, that was just a little matter. She was certainly the best choice to make sure that nothing unexpected will happen when he was away from the city.
He felt assured to leave her looking after everything while he was gone. What could have happened anyway?
Sui Ling readily accepted the position because her duty as a trainee manager at the Merchant League was nót too burdened with works. She was just training at the branch and her background as an elite made the people at the office reluctant to give her tasks.
So, the offer from Yi Xian was just godsent to the bored Sui Ling. She had been pretending to be a cold young lady with good manner. It would be unbecoming of her to go around looking for trouble just because she was bored. Now that she was offered a job, she would gladly accept it. Moreover, she was legitimately a shareholder of Chicken Palace now, no one can say anything about her becoming a director.
Chicken Palace was at a very interesting position. It was becoming a focus in the North Gate City. The fast food chain was a novelty to everyone in the city. It was especially talk about even in the upper society after the opening of the premium restaurant was announced.
The hyenas were crowding to take a bite of the tantalizing piece of fat meat but the owner of the Chicken Palace business remains unknown. So, these hungry bunches can only swallow their saliva.
It was a chance to play with these greedy unscrupulous people, so Sui Ling decided to accept the position as a Chicken Palace director.
This way she can play with these people to stave her boredom a little. She had always had a mean streak that most people do not know expect for the Sui family.
She had been behaving like a proper young lady of a noble family since she began her elite education for a decade. The little she-devil that terrorized the Sui family 10 years ago was unknowingly unleased Yi Xian to the unsuspecting merchants of the commercial area .
Yi Xian had finalized the construction of the second and the third central kitchen in the city as well as the renovation and expansion of the first kitchen. The work will be done in a few months as scheduled. The 10 new locations around the city were being renovated while the workers were being hired and trained to prepare for the simultaneous opening in a few months.
The premium restaurant was left to Sui Ling as her task as a new director. It was up to her to make any decisions about it. She was from the elite of Qian Kingdom, surely she knew the best about their preference.
With everything settled, Yi Xian felt assured to leave the city. He would be back to the Yi home for a few months and only return for the opening event. After all these preparation, surely nothing can go wrong.

Sui Ling releases a sigh of relief as she saw the carriage fading into the distance. She always feels certain tension when she was in contact with Yi Xian. She felt like walking on a tight rope with her survival instinct kicking in constantly to guard herself from danger. It was Mo Yun Xie qi constantly reminding here from doing anything foolish to her charge after noticing Sui Ling as a cultivator. Yi Xian remained oblivious of this.
Despite this, Sui Ling appeared normal in front of Yi Xian. She still have the noble lady appearance every time they meet.
She was already feeling suffocated trying to play the prim and proper young lady act in front of Yi Xian. She can't even bully him into submission due to the shadow following Yi Xian.
"How did a mere small company founder like him have such a strong guard following him? I am sure she saw through me a long time ago. Why didn't she say anything about my act to him?"
Sui Ling is a little perplexed that her act managed to deceive Yi Xian until now but she is not about to complain about that.
"I guess it fine to leave at that! Now that guy is gone, I have the whole city play with!"

"Now that I have this director position, I can legitimately play and screw all those old and greedy merchants!"

She says to herself in consolation to her business partner but truthfully, she was not sorry at all.
The now not-so-little-she-devil of the Sui family has began plotting against the unscrupulous people from the commercial area. She has 10 years worth of pent up mischief as well the stress from deal with Yi Xian to unleash upon the poor people.
"First, I have to do something about those people at the restaurants. I heard the girls have been harassed daily. There even someone who wanted to quit job due this matter!"
Sui Ling thought about a matter that been going on. While the girls have been reporting the harassment to the police station, they have not been able to do anything about it since the was no evidence.
These offenders were professional enough to not directly touch the girls but they have been acting disgusting to mentally scar the girls working at the restaurants.
She was sure these thugs were paid by someone. No people can be so bored to come everyday just to disgust the girls and to all 5 locations. They also only came to the Chicken Palace.
Moreover, these thugs apparently had certain background. The other customers tried to stop them initially but after a few days, no one was standing up for the girls. Most people just looked away when the thugs came.
Yi Xian is oblivious to this. The thugs seemed to recognize his identity as an inspector of the Chicken Palace and always avoid him during his inspection. The girls at the restaurants refused to tell Yi Xian about their problem. They were afraid the Yi Xian could get hurt.

Sui Ling easily understand what the girls thought about Yi Xian. Almost all the girls working at the restaurants were recruited by Yi Xian. They were mostly from very poor background with pretty face as their only advantage.
They were fortunate that they were born in Qian Kingdom since being poor with a pretty face outside the kingdom can be a curse. Despite that, they still couldn't escape poverty until they got the job offer from Yi Xian. Thus, Yi Xian is a very special benefactor to all of them. That, and the fact the guy is really handsome.
When Yi Xian planned his fast food chain business, he decided to hire the pretty girls from to poor family. First, the poor always had the best loyalty. Second, there were just too many pretty girls in this world. It would be easy to find people for the job.
Customer service was usually taken by people with cultivation in this world. In general, cultivation is equal to a person standing even in Qian Kingdom. It is clearly that the girl is well trained. She managed to maintain her composure despite the harassment. Her professional attitude is very admirable and the other customers waiting in line are also impressed by the sight.

The thugs obediently complete their order and pay for the purchase. They know their limit. Sui Ling extends her hand for a handshake to Qian Wu. The woman known as Qian Wu quickly returns her handshake bow towards the new superior.
"Nice to meet you and sorry that you have to witness such a sight."
"No, you two have done an admirable job. If anything, I am sorry not to come sooner. It is the company job to solve this issue. Leave it all to me."
Sui Ling confidently declares to solve the problem. She has witness the harassment first hand. She was in the restaurant when the three thugs were harassing Li Bo. She decided to keep quiet when she saw the thugs did not go beyond limit.
"Honestly, this problem would have been solved long ago of you just report to that guy Yi Xian. That guy is way more capable that you think."
"B-but Young Master Yi is also a mortal like us and he is just a supervisor. Those thugs are cultivators."
Qian Wu looks perplexed. She seems unsure about how Yi Xian can help them with the matter at all.
Sui Ling almost facepalm. Yi Xian has been too low-key. These girls know nothing about him at all. They really thought of him as some powerless mortal!

He will make the matter too big and affect the business. You can tell all the girls about me. Tell them not to worry and you don't have to quit the job."
