As a great warrior one might think that a Sayin would have any match at all, but in the warhammer universe; where there is only war: every man, woman and child was made into a warrior. The villagers In the village often had feats beyond normal human beings. Yokan was no stranger to their feats of being able to compete with him in skills that most warriors would hone all their lives.
An example of this was when the village chief challenged him to a rock climbing contest near a local cliff, and lost after falling into a tree below. Despite having his pride being broken, Yokan was not privy to having his skill challenged and trained on days he wasn't helping the villagers with their local farm duties. After climbing the peak on his own one day with scorched and blistered hands he looked around the cliff wanting too see this strange new land with his own eyes. The sky was a purple tinge that always perturbed him, but was otherwise normal. Peering across the land he noticed movement amongst the dense folliage near the village and mountainous areas he had track for several months now. He believed it to be a local caravan that usually traded with the village.
After confirming the area it was coming from he climbed back down the cliff and landed with a thump. Yokan was sore, but pain was nothing for a warrior like him. After heading through the village from the west side and going to the east entrance to wait for the caravan with others he notified, he saw a worried look on the village elders face. He thought nothing of this, because usually there was a trade or two that never ended correctly and there would always be a scuffle he would solve. However on this day Yokan noticed a stench in the air that smelt like a dead animal smoked over fire for too long. As he noticed the stench, so too did Yokan notice a strange metal box pulled by weird creatures and flanked by metallic-like people they shone with an odd iridescent light, but nothing the sun was shining down with on this day. After they had approached his tail was arched in suspicion. The village elder held up a hand for him to hold back and he waited patiently as the carriage pulled into the village.
After what felt like a tense moment of time the metalboxes door opened and out stepped a fat man with a metal-like circular object over where his eye should be. This man looked at the village elder, whom was waiting there patiently with his daughter. He spoke and said, "So, who is in charge?" The Elder responded: "It is I, my lord." The fat man looked at him with a bemused look and went on "where is the tax for this years harvest?" Fidgeting the elder said "we stored it in the warehouse my lord and ensure it's quality is sound! "
"Good" said the fat man, "then I assume you know that the tax has increased by five percent this year and you are to compensate accordingly?"
"Well my lord" there was a bountiful harvest this year and we would be willing to contribute more, but I would it be fair to ask, why the sudden increase?" said the old man.
"Well I am not a lord for nothing, I will please you curiosity, as it is my duty for the peasantry." "There was another scourge of the demons that lead to man men getting drafted for a crusade against them!" "So you had best put your best men forth as well as leading your people to add more numbers to their yields."
Old Man: "well my lord there's nothing our village cannot handle, but it would be difficult to increase the yield for next year..."
Fat man: "Not my problem, see to it that it happens." "Else it will be your head that will be eaten by the demons."
As Yokan heard this his fist tightened and was about to start punching this fat man, but suddenly a metallic hand weighed on his shoulder. he could not exert any strength and stared at the being that the hand belonged to. It spoke.
"Look here, we have a new recruit!"
"New recruit?" Yokan said as his eyes began to burn at this unknown figure.
"Yes, you're being recruited by the barons order. Consider it your honor."
