I was freezing. It didn't say much more to me, but I could feel its anger. It felt offended, furious, and shocked. It tried to convey that rejecting the peace it offered would come at a terrible cost. I asked it, "Why are you doing this?"
Investigator: And what did it say?
L: It mocked me.
(L falls silent again.)
Investigator: How did it mock you?
L: It showed me one of the victims—possibly the first, Mallory. That face felt as familiar as a mother's face to her child, yet I had never seen it in that condition.
Mallory was lying there, weak, frostbitten, dying.
Through its eyes, I watched Mallory wave and call out to it. It stared into his eyes and hypnotized him. It forced me to relive every second of that moment. I felt worse than if I had died. Then it told me...
(L pauses again, visibly distressed.)
Investigator: What did it tell you?
L: "Because I was there."
Investigator: What happened next?
L: I wasn't going to let it kill me. It lifted me high, and I punched it. I hit it with every ounce of strength I had left, right on its goggles.
The goggles shattered, and I saw what was behind them.
Investigator: What did you see?
L: [DATA EXPUNGED]. After that, I don't remember much. I just knew I had to crawl back to my tent. That's where they—the second team—found me.

An autopsy revealed severe hypothermia, frostbite, and cerebral edema at the time of death. After his encounter, L retired from mountaineering and never climbed above 500 meters again in the 12 months preceding his death.
In response, the Foundation has decided to isolate Mount Everest entirely, prohibiting anyone from approaching the mountain while continuing efforts to locate and contain the Snow Mountain King.
The audience watching this revelation couldn't help but feel a chill run down their spines. It was as if a sinister voice whispered a horror story directly into their ears, sending shivers through even the bravest souls.
Many began trembling, and the more timid were already cowering in fear.

"What?! The Shy Guy is connected to the Snow Mountain King? How is that even possible?!" Piccolo exclaimed, his expression grim.
The Shy Guy's terrifying power still haunted him. Despite all his efforts and techniques, he had failed to kill the creature.
"Damn it! What's the connection between them?!" Piccolo growled, growing angrier the more he thought about his humiliating battle. Self-harm had been his only way to hold the creature off.
Sisyphus: "The Shy Guy—wasn't that a previously encountered entity?"
Krillin: "Yes, it's an incredibly dangerous monster. If you see its face, no matter the distance, it'll come to kill you. We once launched it into the sun, but even that didn't kill it—it came back to Earth!"
Rhadamanthys: "You're joking! How could such a monster exist?!"
Tony Stark: "They're not joking. It's real. Even looking at a photo of it is enough to make it come after you. It's terrifying."
Sage: "This sounds more like a curse than a physical entity."
Natasha Romanoff: "Could the connection be that the Shy Guy was once human but transformed after encountering the Snow Mountain King?"
Piccolo: "That's impossible! Something with that kind of power couldn't have ever been human!"
Tony Stark: "You never know. In a universe where monsters like this exist, anything's possible."
