"Lord A, is it just your imagination?" C asked in confusion.
"An illusion, maybe... hmm!" Just then, A suddenly looked towards the corner of the room. He seemed to have seen a shadow pass by.
"Am I seeing things?" A frowned, confused, but as he shifted his gaze again, another shadow flashed past.
That shadow ran right between several people, and strangely enough, no one seemed to notice it.
"Hey! Did any of you see something strange pass by?" A shouted, questioning everyone.
"Huh? No, we didn't see anything strange." Everyone was confused; they hadn't seen anything unusual.
"No, there was definitely a shadow that passed by." Samui spoke up seriously; she, like A, had seen a shadow.
"What, there wasn't just one!" A's expression instantly changed, and suddenly, he lifted the table in front of him with force, his entire body surging with lightning, and tore it apart with all his might.
The large, sturdy table, more than ten meters long, exploded into countless pieces, shooting outwards like a rainstorm.
"Hey, hey, hey!"
Everyone scrambled, covering their heads in shock, completely at a loss about what was happening.
A scanned the surroundings, lightning crackling around his body.
"Hmm!" He then caught sight of something at the edge of his vision and disappeared in an instant.
When he reappeared, he punched forward, his terrifying punch filled with the explosive power of lightning, shattering the nearby floor and walls.
"It escaped!" A was shocked to discover that the thing had managed to avoid his full-speed attack. He then disappeared again, moving rapidly throughout the conference room, creating a fierce small-scale storm.
"Ahhh! Lord Raikage, what are you doing!"
"What is happening!"
The other jonin were pressed to the ground by the storm, unable to move, completely unable to understand what was going on.
"You can't see it, but you will soon!"
A said as he continued his attacks, destroying parts of the building, scaring people into running away.
When a third of the building had been demolished, A landed, and the corpses of several Visual Phantasms fell around him.
These Visual Phantasms had initially been able to detect A's thought waves and move at high speed.
However, as A's speed continued to increase, they eventually couldn't react quickly enough, and finally, A caught up to them.
"What are these things? Are they some new summoning creatures? Or perhaps Orochimaru's C-virus monsters?"
A looked at the corpses with irritation. He didn't know what they were, but the fact that they had infiltrated his territory made him furious!
Moreover, these creatures were incredibly fast, comparable to himself.
If it were any other ninja, even an elite jonin, they would likely have a hard time dealing with them.
Realizing this, A's expression turned grim.
"Lord Raikage!"
The other ninja rushed over. When they saw the corpses, they were all stunned. When had these things appeared?
"Don't come any closer!"
A's expression suddenly changed, and he shouted.
Before his voice could even fade, the approaching ninja were simultaneously pierced by something. It all happened so fast that no one could see what had pierced them. All they knew was that they were slowly falling.
"Grrrrr!!!"
At the same time, eerie cries echoed around them.
If one listened closely, one could sense a strong intent to kill and anger.
"Damn it, you bastards!"
A glared around him. In his vision, several shadows were running back and forth.
"Trying to avenge your companions, are you? Then die here!"
A roared, his body erupting with an intense surge of lightning.

Hidden Mist Village
Mei was sleeping peacefully, unaware of what was happening around her.
"Hee hee hee..." In her room, three invisible intruders were moving around—they were Dream Killers.
The Dream Killers, taller and skinnier than average people, with no hair and pale blue-gray skin that showed their bones, were surrounding Mei.
Their clawed hands twisted as they absorbed Mei's sleepiness.
The more they absorbed, the louder their eerie laughter became, as if they were relishing the thought of toying with someone who could no longer sleep.
"What's there!"
Mei, being a kage-level figure, immediately sensed something wrong and opened her eyes, getting up quickly.
The three Dream Killers, however, didn't panic. Instead, they kept on laughing as they stood beside her, confident in their invisibility, believing they wouldn't be discovered.
"Hmm? Invisible, are you? Then how about this?"
Mei seemed to understand and smiled.
"Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique!"
Mei opened her mouth and sprayed a dense white mist.
As the mist spread, the temperature in the room increased dramatically.
This was Boil Release—one of Mei's two Kekkei Genkai abilities!
"Raaah!!"
The terrifying mist corroded everything it touched, and the sharp screams of pain echoed in the air.
At that moment, the three Dream Killers could no longer remain hidden; they were forced to reveal themselves.
Already extremely thin, their bodies were now corroded beyond recognition. There was almost no skin or muscle left—just their rotting bones.
"What in the world!"
Even though Mei was prepared, she couldn't help but be taken aback when she saw that her attackers weren't human.
"Argh!"
The three Dream Killers, now exposed, swung their claws and lunged at Mei!
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"
However, Mei was faster. She immediately performed a jutsu, blasting the three Dream Killers out of the room, rendering them incapable of fighting back.
The commotion naturally drew many ninja to investigate, all of them confused by what they saw.
"Lady Mizukage! What happened?" Chojuro hurried forward to ask.
"I don't know either. Hm? Strange, why do all of you have such dark circles under your eyes?"
Mei noticed that some of the ninja had very noticeable dark circles and was puzzled.
"We don't know. We came back from our mission, tried to get some sleep, but for some reason, we couldn't fall asleep,"
Chojuro said, yawning. No matter what he did, he just couldn't sleep.
This made Mei feel strange, and she had a sense that someone was watching her from the shadows.
Connecting it with the situation earlier, her expression changed.
"Everyone, jump out the window immediately! Boil Release!"
Mei made a quick decision, using her Boil Release. Chojuro and the others, although confused, followed her orders without hesitation.
