After hearing Natasha's words, the hijacker remained silent. Natasha immediately removed the Tara mask and saw that the hijacker was already dead, his face indicating poisoning.

It was clear he had hidden a poison capsule in his teeth, which he had bitten down on to commit suicide once escape was impossible.

Not just him; the other hijackers had also committed suicide to avoid interrogation.

"Sigh."

Natasha sighed helplessly, then picked up the intercom to contact Nick Fury.

"Fury, I've got the situation under control, but the hijackers are dead."

"That's good! As long as you're safe. Bring those bodies back; we might find some clues."

Nick Fury breathed a sigh of relief, then asked about the status of the statue.

"Don't worry, the Evil God Statue is under my..."

Natasha was about to say that her shadow soldiers were watching the statue, but then she suddenly realized something. She quickly counted the number of shadow soldiers in the cabin.

Her face fell.

She rushed to the iron box, opened it, and her face turned grim.

There was no statue inside—nothing at all.

"Didn't I tell you to watch the statue? Why did you all leave?"

Natasha scolded the shadow soldiers, frustrated. She never expected them all to leave their posts, forgetting their orders.

The shadow soldiers looked down in shame, realizing they had been too focused on protecting their master.

"Fury, I'm sorry, but the Evil God Statue is missing."

Natasha reported gravely to Nick Fury.

"I already know. It's on the news."

At S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Nick Fury watched a live broadcast with a grim expression.

"Viewers, I can't believe what I'm seeing. The statue that was taken away by a group of people suddenly reappeared, moving on its own and killing people one after another. Now, the statue has disappeared again, leaving a trail of corpses!"

The broadcast showed the street and sidewalk littered with bodies, all appearing to have died from heart attacks.

This horrifying scene instilled immense fear in many people.

Extreme religious groups seized the opportunity to cause chaos.

"This is God's punishment! He is displeased and wants to cleanse this world!"

"We must kneel and pray, offering our sincerity to earn God's forgiveness!"

"I am God's messenger. Give me enough offerings, and I will negotiate with God on your behalf for forgiveness!"

Such outlandish claims abounded, and despite their obvious flaws, many frightened people believed them, donating their wealth in hopes of appeasing the divine.

The Evil God Statue continued to pursue those who had seen it. If even one person looked at it, it would stop.

But people were too scared, unaware of the statue's nature, and thought approaching it meant death. They only ran away, not daring to look at it.

This allowed the statue to rampage freely, killing indiscriminately.

"Natasha, stop that statue immediately. We can't have more victims."

Nick Fury's brows furrowed tightly as he watched the carnage on the screen.

"Director, the council is calling to ask about our strategy."

Hill said, running up with a phone.

"Tell them to shut up. What's the status with Stark?"

Nick Fury thought of Tony Stark, believing the man who had escaped terrorists and built a super suit could handle the situation.

...

Tony, held at gunpoint, had seen the screen and was equally anxious. However, he needed to remain calm to deal with the immediate threat.

"Oh, which faction are you from? Are you hijacking for my money? Name your price."

Tony said coolly.

"Stark, your offer is tempting, but we want more than money. If you want to live, hand over your technology."

One hijacker pointed at Tony's Mark suit.

"I have many technologies. Are you talking about my bedroom skills? Do you want me to demonstrate with your woman?"

Tony joked, pretending not to understand.

"Stop bullshitting!"

The hijacker was visibly angered, nearly pulling the trigger.

"Just a reminder, you'd better hold on tight."

Tony said suddenly.

The next second, the Quinjet tilted sharply, throwing everyone off balance.

Only Tony's suit maintained stability with its thrusters. He quickly grabbed Coulson, who was about to be flung out.

"Sir, I have control of the Quinjet."

Jarvis's voice came through Tony's earpiece.

Tony had instructed Jarvis to hack the Quinjet's system and take control. Despite the advanced system, it was child's play for Jarvis.

"Nice work."

Tony praised, throwing Coulson aside and charging at the off-balance hijackers.

Using the weight of his suit, he knocked out several hijackers, then used his repulsor beams to blind them temporarily, causing them to fall, clutching their eyes in pain.

He then knocked them out one by one.

"This one's for Fury."

Tony looked at the screen, then ordered Jarvis to fly the Quinjet towards the statue's last known location.

Tracking the Evil God Statue was difficult. It followed a set pattern, moving instantly to kill its next target, regardless of distance.

The crowd had dispersed widely, making the statue's range large and hard to track.

But waiting for it to finish its spree wasn't an option. The situation was dire.

The Ancient One: "In two minutes, the statue will appear on Brooklyn Street 24, in front of a pizza shop. You can ambush it there."

As Tony and the others struggled, the Ancient One foresaw the statue's location.

Using the Time Stone, the Ancient One had observed the future, pinpointing the statue's appearance time and location, giving Tony and Natasha a high chance of success.
