Orochi sat motionless, pensive, still in shock from the news he had just learned. His brother Alejandro had shared the information with a hint of worry in his voice: Fukuda Tetsuya, one of the greatest hopes in world football, had just suffered an injury that would compromise his career for several years. He was no ordinary player in Orochi's eyes. He was a role model, a symbol of excellence towards whom he had directed his dream. And now, everything seemed to be falling apart for Tetsuya.
The house was silent, everyone respecting Orochi's moment of reflection. His mother, Maria, watched him from afar, her hands clasped in a gesture of silent prayer, while Alejandro, sitting across from him, waited for a reaction. Orochi, for his part, kept a calm posture, but his eyes betrayed an inner storm. After a few minutes, he straightened up, taking a deep breath before turning to his father, who was absentmindedly flipping through a sports newspaper.
I need to find a way to see Fukuda Tetsuya, even though I know how everything is going to play out, it will be much easier to leave Spain if I convince him to become my coach.
"Dad," he began, his voice calm but determined, "I need to ask you a favor."
His father looked up immediately, guessing that a serious discussion was about to follow. The look Orochi was giving him was not that of a child, but that of a young boy aware of the importance of his request.
"What is it, son?" his father replied, adopting an attentive tone.
Orochi stood up, taking a few steps towards him before stopping to look him straight in the eye.
"I need you to do everything you can to get me to meet Fukuda Tetsuya. I know it's complicated, but I have to see him."
His mother, surprised, exchanged a look with her husband, trying to understand where this request came from. Alejandro, himself, also seemed stunned by his brother's request. The gravity of the situation was starting to settle in everyone's minds.
"Orochi…" his mother began softly, getting up to approach, "why is this so important to you?"
Orochi turned to her, his voice filled with a touching sincerity: "Fukuda is injured. I know it devastates him and that he may think that everything is over for him. But I am convinced that he still has a role to play in football, even if he can no longer be on the field. I have to talk to him, convince him not to give up."
Orochi's father sat and listened attentively. He saw in his son's eyes a determination he had never seen before, even during the most intense moments on the field.
"And what exactly do you want to tell him?" his father asked, intrigued.
Orochi sat down opposite him, choosing his words carefully. "I want to tell him that he can still be a pillar in the world of football. He doesn't need to be a player to achieve his dream. He can become my coach. I want him to train me, to make me the best player in the world. I'm sure that by working together, we can reach the top."
Alejandro, silent until then, couldn't help but exclaim: "Your coach? Are you serious?"
Orochi nodded, his conviction unwavering: "Yes, serious. He has the knowledge, the experience, and I want to learn from him." »
Orochi's father stood up, hands on his hips, thoughtful. He knew this request was ambitious, but he had never seen his son so determined. After a few moments, he finally smiled slightly.
"That's a big request, son. But if it's really what you want, I'll see what I can do. I know a few people in the football world who could facilitate a meeting. But you know it might take some time."
Orochi smiled gratefully. "Thanks, Dad. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes."
A few weeks later, after much haste, Orochi's father finally received a positive response from Fukuda Tetsuya's family. A meeting had been arranged, and Orochi would finally be able to meet his idol. When the day came, father and son set off for the Fukuda house. The atmosphere in the car was both exciting and solemn. The usually calm Orochi felt his heart beating faster than usual. This was a unique opportunity, a chance to make a difference in the life of a player he admired so much.
When they arrived, they were greeted by Fukuda's uncle, a middle-aged man with a face marked by fatigue and worry for his nephew. Beside him was Fukuda's little sister, Hana Ichijo, who greeted Orochi and his father shyly.
"I know who you are, young man," Fukuda's uncle said, his voice deep but warm. "Your name is beginning to resonate in the world of football. If you're here for Tetsuya, it's probably because you know what a difficult time he's going through."
Orochi bowed respectfully before humbly replying, "Sir, I'm here because I believe Tetsuya-san can still achieve great things, even after this injury." »
The uncle, impressed by Orochi's maturity, nodded before motioning for them to enter. "Follow me, I'll take you to him."
Orochi's heart was pounding as they walked down the hallway to Fukuda's room. Arriving at the door, the uncle turned to him. "He hasn't seen many people since his injury. Be careful what you say to him."
Orochi nodded before gently pushing the door open. The room was plunged into semi-darkness, and at the back, lying on a bed, was Fukuda Tetsuya, staring into space. When he heard the door open, he turned his head slightly, and his eyes widened as he recognized Orochi.
"You…" he whispered, his voice hoarse. "I remember you, you're that child prodigy…"
Orochi slowly approached, sitting on a chair next to the bed, looking at him with deep empathy.
"Tetsuya-san… how are you?" Orochi asked softly, his voice full of sincerity.
Tetsuya turned his head slightly, his voice marked with fatigue, "Honestly? Not very well… It's hard to see everything fall apart because of an injury."
Orochi nodded. "I can't imagine what you're going through, but I know you're not done. I believe there's still a lot you can accomplish."
Tetsuya gave a faint smile. "You're quite optimistic, Orochi."
"Do you remember my name?" Orochi asked curiously.
"Ahahah! You're the most famous kid in Spain, maybe even in Europe, and you're surprised that I know your name?" Tetsuya asked with a hint of irony.
"That's true, it's a pretty stupid remark." Orochi paused before fully speaking.
"Tetsuya-san, I came to see you because you inspired me. But I know you're going through a difficult time. I just wanted to tell you that I think your dream isn't over."
Fukuda sighed, his features tired and marked by disappointment. "My dream is over. I won't be able to play like I used to."
Orochi looked at him intensely, his words carefully weighed. "Maybe you won't be able to play anymore, but that doesn't mean you can't be part of this world anymore. I want you to be my coach, to guide me to the top. Together, we can make your dream come true, in a different way. »
Fukuda remained silent, watching Orochi, his eyes betraying a spark of curiosity. "Why would I do that? What could you bring me, a kid like you?"
Orochi stared at Tetsuya with his piercing eyes, a rare intensity burning in his gaze. "If you become my coach, I promise you that we will reach the top. I will carry you to the roof of the world." His words resonated with an almost supernatural conviction.
Tetsuya, at first surprised, observed the young boy. "This kid is not lying," he thought. "He really is serious..."
Something awakened in him. The fire he thought he had lost with his injury suddenly rekindled. The determination and the flame that had once animated him flared up again, stronger than ever. His personal defeat faded in the light of Orochi's determination.
"Okay, I'll be your coach. But get ready, it'll be a long road, and we'll start in Japan. There, I'll build the strongest team, and you'll be the key."
Orochi nodded, a smile starting on his lips. Their future had just been mapped out.
