Three days later, Zanki's wedding.

Jomae Village was filled with joy and excitement.

Diligently training, Sasuke did not forget his promise and arrived at the wedding venue on time, bringing along the gift he had prepared.

Gensou, who was familiarizing himself with the Mangekyou Sharingan and experiencing new perspectives, also took the time to attend this wedding.

It was a pure union of love between the couple, without any political motives, and the bride from the Hagoromo clan was, by seniority, supposed to call him grandfather.

"Grandfather... I never thought I'd reach this kind of... seniority."

Feeling much younger and in peak physical condition compared to many present, Gensou mused to himself. After toasting the newlyweds, he excused himself, knowing his presence might make others uncomfortable.

Before leaving, Gensou instructed Sasuke to prepare for a journey in seven days.

Sasuke was surprised but diligently began his preparations following Gensou's instructions.

...

A week later.

In front of Gensou's experimental base.

Dressed for travel, Sasuke stood patiently at the entrance.

Soon, the door opened.

To Sasuke's surprise, a man wearing the same blue Uchiha kimono and a white whirlpool mask stepped out.

"Let's go."

Gensou's familiar voice came from behind the mask.

"Who are you?"

Sasuke didn't comply. Instead, he gripped his ninja sword, looking seriously at the unfamiliar man in front of him.

Though the voice was the same, Sasuke sensed that this man was not the Gensou he knew.

"You noticed? It seems your training hasn't been in vain."

The man said, then removed the white mask, revealing a stranger's face.

"This is a special clone I made." He explained.

As he spoke, the real Gensou appeared, explaining to Sasuke, "He will be accompanying you on this journey."

The man with the white whirlpool mask was actually Gensou's Yin-attribute White Zetsu clone.

Using the Spirit Transformation: Projection technique, Gensou could simultaneously control both his main body and the White Zetsu clone, switching places at any time. He chose to send the clone on this journey.

Compared to quiet training, constant combat would better accelerate the research and understanding of the Mangekyou Sharingan.

Seeing the real Gensou, Sasuke relaxed, releasing his grip on the sword.

But when he looked closely at the White Zetsu clone's face, he was startled.

"Sharingan!!"

Noticing the familiar red color in the clone's right eye socket, Sasuke was stunned, unable to understand why an Uchiha's Sharingan was in Gensou's clone.

Then, seeing the pattern in the eye was not the usual three tomoe but a black blade shape, his pupils contracted further.

Unlike before, Sasuke, now formally trained by the Uchiha, knew exactly what this pattern meant.

"Mangekyou Sharingan!!!"

A Mangekyou Sharingan like Uchiha Itachi's!

Sasuke never expected to see it here, and in Gensou's clone no less, an eye that many Uchiha spent their lives pursuing.

"This is Uchiha Shisui's Mangekyou Sharingan," Gensou said calmly.

He had no intention of hiding it; otherwise, he wouldn't have removed the mask.

For Gensou, the Mangekyou Sharingan was merely a tool for researching Yin-attribute chakra, unlike Danzo, who coveted the eye.

Once his research was complete, he had no qualms about returning the eye to the Uchiha clan.

"Shisui?"

Sasuke had heard of this clan member but didn't know much about him.

"See for yourself."

Words were never as impactful as images. Gensou activated the Mangekyou Sharingan, the black pattern spinning quickly.

In an instant, Sasuke felt the world change color.

When he blinked and looked again, Gensou was gone.

Instead, he saw a young Uchiha ninja confronting an old man and what looked like Konoha ANBU behind him.

"I fell into a genjutsu?"

Sasuke couldn't believe that even with his three tomoe Sharingan, he had been caught so easily.

No time to think.

The battle between the Uchiha ninja and the Konoha ninja had begun.

The old man leading the Konoha ninja shouted out the name "Shisui."

"So that's Uchiha Shisui?"

Sasuke focused intently.

In the real world.

Seeing Sasuke fall into the genjutsu with a single glance, Gensou, though expecting it, was still impressed by the power of Shisui's Mangekyou Sharingan.

Kotoamatsukami was still on cooldown.

Yet, the ordinary genjutsu of the Mangekyou Sharingan was already this powerful.

No wonder in the Third Shinobi War, the Mist ninja fell one by one under Shisui's genjutsu without even seeing his face.

Even in the Warring States period, no Uchiha had developed the Sharingan's genjutsu to this level.

Neither Madara, who possessed the straight tomoe Mangekyou Sharingan, nor Izuna could match it.

"Konoha's Uchiha clan has produced many talents. Unfortunately, they are either not ruthless enough or too ruthless."

Gensou shook his head slightly and dispelled the genjutsu.

Sasuke woke up instantly.

Realizing he was back in reality, he asked Gensou, slightly agitated, "Who was that old man?"

Gensou had shown Sasuke the scene of Danzo stealing Shisui's eye.

Though it had some inaccuracies, as he hadn't witnessed it himself, it was a close approximation of the truth.

"Danzo, Konoha's advisor elder."

Gensou's clone put the mask back on and said calmly.

"I will kill him!" Sasuke's eyes turned cold.

"No need, I've already killed him. Otherwise, where do you think the Sharingan came from?"

"..."

Sasuke froze, realizing he hadn't thought of that.

"Let's go." Gensou began walking out of the village.

As for his main body, it remained in the experimental base, continuing various research projects.

Sasuke glanced at the closing doors of the experimental base, then hurried to catch up with the somewhat unfamiliar Gensou clone, asking curiously:

"Where are we going, Gensou-sama?"

"The Land of Fire," Gensou said calmly.

"Konoha?"

"The Land of Fire is vast. But if we happen to run into any of your old friends, we can stop and say hello."

"No need. I have no interest in them."

"Is that so?"
