Felix didn't know what led him to say that, really. The lady could be lying to his face and he wouldn't know. But he also doubted that she was lying because... what would she gain? It's not like he was someone important or anything--well, from his research, he would be if people knew of his existence.
"Would you like something to drink or eat?" Felix asked as he watched Halimat make herself comfortable on a chair, legs crossed and a key dangling from her hand.
"Not really," she said after giving it a thought. "I just want to talk. I won't be too long because I have somewhere to be."
Felix nodded, glancing about because he had no idea what to do with himself. Eventually, he decided to just stand. Halimat made no comment on that and just began talking.
"So. I found out about you during the holidays. And I'm here to officially welcome you to the family."
