"Will they really fight?" Jefferson asked in surprise.
"Of course." Eileen patted Jefferson's shoulder. "Dueling is a part of a knight's life. Eventually, someone will challenge you to a duel too."
Jefferson looked up at Eileen's face, wondering if his master had ever dueled. Then he glanced at Miss Monica, thinking she wouldn't duel anyone. After pondering for a moment, Jefferson asked, "Will there be fatalities?"
Eileen frowned. "It's hard to say. Although most duels only aim to determine a winner, dueling is inherently dangerous, and accidents frequently happen. Many people become disabled or even die in duels."
"Isn't there anyone to stop this?" Jefferson was incredulous. Every knight was a valuable asset to the nation. He couldn't imagine allowing knights to shed blood needlessly in duels.
"Unless it's a malicious duel, no one will intervene. Accepting challenges is a knight's honor. If you want to become a true knight, you'll have to get used to these things," Eileen said in a somber tone. She knew that the world of knights was completely different from the world Jefferson had known as an ordinary person.
"Knights can be good or evil. Some uphold morality and order, while others challenge morality and embrace chaos. But all knights value one thing above all: honor. You can retreat on the battlefield—that's called a strategic withdrawal—but you can't run away in a duel. That's cowardice." Eileen took the opportunity to instill the principles of the knightly world into her disciple.
"Do you have to accept every challenge?" Jefferson wanted to be sure.
Eileen and Monica both smiled. "Of course not. Many duel challenges are ridiculous, and you can completely ignore them. Similarly, if the terms are too harsh, you can refuse. There's a lot to learn about this, and we'll teach you gradually."
At that moment, the four in the square had already separated.
Eileen, who had been focused on talking to Jefferson, turned to ask Monica, "What terms did they agree on? What will the loser have to do?"
"The loser will be at the winner's mercy," Monica replied with a smile.
"Haha!" Eileen exaggeratedly said, "Those three newcomers are really in for a lesson. They dared to agree to such terms."
"It just shows they have confidence in their abilities," Monica said in defense of the three newcomers.
Eileen patted Jefferson's cheek with a slightly suggestive tone, "Kid, you're in for a treat."
In the center of the square, Linda and the three newcomers faced off. Linda held a six-foot-long knight's sword, while the three newcomers formed an equilateral triangle. The woman directly facing Linda wielded a strange spear with sharp ends, the woman on the left had dual battle-axes, and the woman on the right also held a knight's sword.
"You still have a chance to surrender now, and I won't punish you," Linda said confidently, shaking her knight's sword.
"Who will punish whom is still uncertain," retorted the leader of the three women with a sneer.
With no further words, they started fighting.
Linda's six-foot knight's sword moved so swiftly that it became invisible, leaving only a red glow flashing around. Hissing sounds filled the air, and occasionally a crescent-shaped blue arc shot out. Wherever the blue arc went, not only did the three newcomers avoid it, but the spectators also quickly dodged.
"That's Linda's signature move, 'Azure Tide.' She has another move called 'War Surge,' which is even more powerful," Eileen explained to her disciple while dodging. As a master, she was very diligent.
"Is it fair for three to fight one?" Jefferson shouted. He did this on purpose, hoping to distract the three newcomers and help Linda.
Even if Linda hadn't slept with him, he would still help her over the three troublemakers he had just met.
"Don't speak nonsense. The three practice a very special technique that emphasizes a trinity formation. This is a kind of battle array. They are either family or from a lineage that has trained together for generations," Eileen focused intensely on the fight. She had never seen such a trinity combination before.
Being part of the main knight regiment, those three women were indeed formidable. Despite Linda's hurricane-like attacks, the three newcomers not only didn't retreat but fought back even more fiercely.
The leader, wielding the dual-tipped spear, had a particularly tricky style. Her weapon's sharp ends and rapid attacks, coupled with a strange spiral-shaped Fighting breath on the spear tips, broke through Linda's 'Azure Tide' several times, even if they weren't as formidable as the blue arcs.
The two women with dual battle-axes and knight's swords were clearly the main attackers. Their heavy weapons emitted Fighting breath, one resembling the 'Azure Tide' with a blue arc, and the other a straight thrust with a six-meter-long shockwave.
"They indeed have a right to be proud," Eileen muttered in admiration. She imagined herself in Linda's position and realized that under such an onslaught, Linda would have to resort to mutually destructive tactics.
"The whole squad, only Linda can stand against those three," said Eileen, patting Jefferson's shoulder.
At this moment, almost everyone was running the same simulation in their minds because, in the world of knights, strength was paramount.
The fight continued for about fifteen minutes when Linda's sword suddenly emitted a piercing hum. The squad members all knew the power of this move and quickly dodged in various ways. Eileen grabbed Jefferson and jumped into the air, along with Michelle and Captain Wallis.
On the ground below, centered around Linda, ripples spread out, the result of forcibly distorted air. Throughout the camp, sounds of shattering echoed as all the glass broke into pieces, cups and plates cracked, and even the ground and surrounding walls developed numerous cracks.
Jefferson gasped, watching Linda, who stood in the center of the square, in disbelief. This woman, who frequently had wild sex with him and even let him penetrate her anally, was actually this powerful.
Looking around, he saw the three newcomers already unconscious, their weapons thrown far aside.
"Eileen, can I borrow your apprentice?" Linda beckoned Jefferson with her finger.
It felt somewhat insulting, but Jefferson glanced around and dared not complain.
"Ask him if he's willing," Eileen said indifferently.
"Help me move those three to the infirmary," Linda commanded directly.
Jefferson obediently followed the order, partly because he truly did not dare defy Linda, who was terrifyingly powerful, and partly because he already guessed what would happen next. Not only did he know, but so did everyone else, including his master Eileen, who had predicted this outcome when the duel began.
For a moment, Jefferson blushed with embarrassment.
