Chapter 28 - “He was on a mission”

Aren saw Elia and felt shy. Elia was nervous because Aren stared at her toe to head. After that Aren and his companion follow Ezra to his shope. Elia makes them tea and serves them. Looks like Ezra knew them before. They talked about something but Elia had a customer,so did not hear clearly. After some time they all went from there. Elia felt her heart beat faster when she was with the man Zion, Like the masked man who she met in her inheritance night.

"What strange feelings! Somehow when I thought about this man Zion, My heart was beating fast. And my body temperature also increased." Elia thought to herself and shook her head.

After that Elia Went to the cottage. Elia took a long warm shower. Lina gave her dinner.

"Your Majesty, Your dinner."

Lina took the bowl on the bed table. After that she went to bed. She made bed for Elia.

"Thank you, Lina. Have you finished your meal?" Elia is concerned about her.

"After you finish your's, I'll have mine."

She said it with a cute smile.

"Okay, okay. I want to see my parent's. So, after your dinner I will visit them."

Elia nodded with her and sat on the chair. She took the fork and spoon and ate her meal.

"Father, mother, how have you been?" Elia went to his parents room and stood near the bed. She got emotional.

"My child you came? We're fine, how about you? It's my fault I was too weak."

Lia's fast took her hands into his hand and burst into tears. Elia held his father's hands and looked at them.

"Please father, don't say anything like that. I'm happy that happened, I can prepare myself to be stronger and more capable. So please don't blame yourself."

She said in a confident way. Her father kissed her forehead.

"God, bless you my child."

"Thank you father and also believe in me. I will return everything I had."

Elia confronts her father. Her mother did say much. She needs more recovery. After some chit chat Elia returns to her room.

She was lying in her bed. And think about what happened today. Suddenly Elia felt The mysterious symbols glowing like the previous night. The same things repeat tonight. When she reached the symbol they vanished. After that Elia fell asleep.

The next day,

Elia was sitting on a chair in the shop. Ezra was talking to a customer. She was bored. She tried to read a romance novel book.

After reading the book she felt there was something wrong with her.

Few days passed. Elia now has some knowledge about antiques. So Ezra sometimes leaves her the shop deal alone.

She had never been one to believe in the sort of romance one reads about in novels. But there was something about Zion that unsettled and exhilarated her all at once. Every time she caught a glimpse of him across the bustling antique shop where she worked, her pulse would race, and an odd warmth coursed through her veins.

It started as a routine shift. The morning sun spilled through the windows, illuminating the room and setting the perfect atmosphere. Just as she was steaming milk for a cappuccino, Zion walked in a tall figure with tousled hair and an easy smile. He always sat in the corner, lost in a book, but today he glanced her way, locking eyes for just a heartbeat longer than usual.

"What strange feelings!"

Elia whispered to herself. Her heart thudded in her chest, and her cheeks warmed as she picked up a fresh brew and made her way over.

"Coffee for you," she said, trying to sound nonchalant.

"Thanks, Miss Nisa,"

he replied, his deep voice sending shivers down her spine. She was taken aback by how effortlessly he pronounced her name, as if he'd known her forever.

"Can I join you?" she blurted out.

To her surprise, a smile blossomed on his face.

"Only if you promise to tell me how you make cappuccinos that taste like magic."

As they talked, laughter mingled with the aroma of freshly ground coffee, and Elia realised she was no longer afraid of the strange feelings swelling in her chest. Perhaps, she thought, romance wasn't only in stories; it had found her, tucked between the pages of an everyday moment.

Eila had been working for Ezra for a month now, and Aren's presence was a constant, aloof, distant figure who seemed to see her only as Ezra's right hand, not as a person. But as they talked, his voice softened, his gaze occasionally meeting hers, and a warmth bloomed in Eila's chest.

Aren came to Ezra to gather information about magical beasts. But Elia didn't know about it.

Last two days Aren didm't visit Ezra's shop. Elia was worried for him. Ezra noticed Elia was waiting for someone. He came closer and asked her.

"Are you waiting for someone?"

"Emm, Zion didn't come to us for two days. I wonder why?"

Elia looked at the door and said to Ezra.

"Oh! You did not know that he came to me because he was on a mission. He and his three brothers will hunt the magical beast. So, She gathered some information from me and he sold me some magical orbs. He said "The Grand Duke Aren hunted the magical beast before and he gave him those orbs."

Ezra handed over the magical orbs to Elia. And said,

" Elia, could you examine those orbs for me?"

"Okay, As you said."

Elia said with a sad voice. She looked down. She even could say goodbye to him before his journey.

"Um, Ezra, are magical beasts so powerful? Will Zion be safe?"

Elia's eyes were full of tensions. Ezra shook his head and said,

" I don't know much about it. But people said it was the most dangerous mission. But our guardian, His Excellency, already killed one of the bosses of magical beasts. Zion said he was busy with some more important task so he asked Zion to finish the rest of the beasts."

"Grand Duke of Lancaster Kingdom?" Elia asked with confused looks.

"Yews." By saying that Ezra went outside. Elia came to the door.

"I never saw him. Is he a good man?"

Elia asked Ezra about Grand Duke.

"To be continued

Stay tuned"
