In the serene silence of the seventh peak of the Grey Mountain Sect, the air was crisp with the chill of concentrated ice qi as it originated at the main hall, nestled amidst the mountains, radiated a serene tranquility, broken only by the occasional whisper of wind against the stone structures of the building.
Seated on the smooth floor were two figures, both exuding an aura of grace and beauty. Gabrielle, the peak master of the seventh peak, was an ethereal vision of elegance and beauty. Her slender form was draped in flowing peak master robes of sky blue, which accentuated her perfect proportions. Her long, inky-black hair cascaded down her back like a silken waterfall, catching the light to reveal frost-like highlights. Gabrielle's face, a masterpiece of beauty, held a serene yet commanding presence, her eyes reflecting a depth of seriousness.
In front of her, Serana, her eldest and first disciple, mirrored her master's grace with her own youthful charm. Serana's features, though not as otherworldly as Gabrielle's, were still striking, her cold beauty a testament to her dedication to the icy arts, especially after the rebirth of her divine body. Her long, silky ink black hair framed a face of delicate features, her eyes a clear, icy blue that held a quiet determination. Though younger and less experienced, Serana's aura suggested a burgeoning strength and potential.
Gabrielle raised her hand, her fingers lightly touching Serana's forehead. A faint, ethereal glow emanated from her palm, a transfer of knowledge and power that transcended words. The Frozen Star Sword Art, a technique of precision and devastating cold, was being passed down from master to disciple.
"Serana," Gabrielle's voice was soft but firm, carrying the weight of authority and care, "focus on the flow of ice qi. Feel its cold energy and let it guide your movements."
Serana closed her eyes, her breathing steady as she concentrated. She felt the icy qi coursing through her, merging with her own energy. Images and sensations filled her mind—each strike calculated to maximize the impact of cold, ice shaping into barriers, weapons, and traps, the extreme cold immobilizing and shattering opponents.
Gabrielle continued, her voice a steady guide through the process. "The Frozen Star Sword Art requires precision and control. Each technique must be executed with exactness to harness its full potential, especially paired with our cultivation technique"
As the transfer of knowledge completed, Gabrielle withdrew her hand, the glow fading. Serana opened her eyes, feeling a newfound depth of understanding and power. She looked up at her master, gratitude and resolve shining in her icy phoenix like eyes.
"Thank you, Master." Serana said softly, her voice carrying the weight of her excitement, but the emotions on her face didn't show it.
Gabrielle nodded, a faint smile gracing her lips. "Now, let us begin the practical training. Remember, Serana, the true strength of the Frozen Star Sword Art lies not just in its power, but in your ability to wield it with precision and control. First train slowly first according to the sword technique."
With that, both master and disciple rose to their feet, the tranquil silence of the seventh peak now charged with the promise of rigorous training and the honing of a deadly, elegant art.
…
*Swish*
*Swish*
Serana dipped her Heaven grade armament long sword and stabbed, with her foot lifting while the other sweeping in to move forward while avoiding imaginary attacks.
Meanwhile, on her side. Gabrielle was cultivating while sensing her disciple's movements. Although she's cultivating her focus was still on her disciple as any error may prove fatal once accident occurs, of course she didn't want to hurt her disciple.
But to her surprise, the divine body is doing it wonders again. It's been hours since Serana has been practicing sword skills without qi, her stamina is indeed shocking.
One thing Gabrielle noticed is that she indeed has the talent to wield the sword which worried Gabrielle at first, because each person has their own preferences when it comes to weapons. But swords seem to fit Serana as she was able to adapt and improve quickly while holding the sword.
Her swift and precise movement proves that she's comfortable using it, and her talent is indeed astonishing as the basic movements of arms and foot was easily memorized by her that took Gabrielle hours to completely memorize without perfecting it.
As a result, it would not take a while for Serana to use her qi and test the core techniques of the sword art.
Thirty minutes later, Serana had completely memorized the movements to perfection. "Stop." Gabrielle voice echoed making Serana stopped her movements and face her master.
Serana still couldn't get used to her master being a woman, after all she was used to seeing Gabriel's handsome face, thus facing this beautiful woman that is the female version of her master still shocks her in the core but didn't dare to show it.
"You've done a good job, perfecting the move sets in just three and half hours. It took me almost six hours to remember it." Gabrielle nodded with a faint smile on her face as she approached her disciple.
"Now that you've mastered it, lets try using absolute zero ice qi, okay?"
"Yes master!"
Gabrielle stepped back, allowing Serana to have the space to test the core techniques of the Frozen Star Sword Art. The training hall, bathed in the cold light of moon, seemed to hold its breath in anticipation.
"…"
Serana took a deep breath, feeling the cold, black ice qi swirling within her. Unlike the usual pale blue of ice qi, Serana's was an abyssal black, a testament to the unique nature of absolute zero ice. This qi was not only colder but also carried an intensity that set it apart.
Gabrielle watched from the sidelines, her eyes keenly observing every movement of her disciple. "Begin with Frostbite," she instructed, her voice was calm.
Serana nodded, raising her heaven grade sword, Heaven deceiver. She focused her qi, channeling it through her body and into the blade. With a swift, precise motion, she executed the Frostbite technique. The slash cut through the air, leaving a trail of black ice in its wake. The ground where the slash landed crackled and froze instantly, a testament to the devastating cold of her qi.
Gabrielle nodded in approval, noting Serana's control and precision. "Good. Now, try the Glacial Sweep."
Serana adjusted her stance, feeling the flow of her qi. She swung her sword in a wide arc, executing the Glacial Sweep. A wave of black ice spread out in a 180-degree arc in front of her, creating a zone of extreme cold. The very air seemed to freeze, tiny ice crystals forming and falling like snow.
Though the technique was not yet perfect, Gabrielle could see the potential. Serana's innate talent and her divine body's deep reserves of qi and stamina were evident in the execution. "Impressive, Serana. Your control is exceptional for someone so new to this art. Now, focus on Absolute Zero Thrust."
Serana nodded, her determination unwavering. She gathered her ice qi, concentrating it into a single point at the tip of her sword. The black ice qi pulsed with an almost palpable intensity. With a powerful thrust, she drove the blade forward. The air seemed to warp around the point of impact, and the ground where the thrust landed was engulfed in a flash freeze, solidifying into a block of black ice.
Gabrielle's eyes widened slightly, impressed by the sheer power and precision of Serana's thrust. As expected to a divine body!
Although not yet perfect, the execution was far beyond what she had expected from a novice. "Excellent, Sera. Your divine body grants you immense potential. With continued practice, you will master these techniques."
Serana withdrew her sword, the black ice qi dissipating into the air. She turned to her master, her eyes showed one of focused determination while maintaining her calm face. "Thank you, Master. I will continue to practice my skills well!" as she clasped her hands in respect.
Gabrielle stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Serana's shoulder. "You have done well, Sera. Remember, mastery comes with time and dedication. Your progress today shows your potential. With your divine body and your determination, you are destined to be great!"
Serana nodded, feeling a sense of pride and gratitude. Under Gabrielle's guidance, she knew she would continue to grow stronger, her proficiency in the Frozen Star Sword Art reaching new heights with each passing day.
What Serana haven't realize that her master is actually quite capable, for Serana the image of her master being weak was sealed deep within her mind that couldn't be taken away easily.
Gabrielle looked outside through the window and noticed how dark already the sky was. With a wave of her hand, she pats Serana's head with a smooth smile on her lips, "That's your lesson for today. Keep practicing your swords skills in the coming days, don't forget to properly cultivate."
"Yes master." Enjoying the warmth of master gave her, Serana nodded with a faint smile on her face.
"Also be sure not to neglect studying too, so you have to properly manage your time." Gabrielle reminded, as she worries about her a little due to how hard worker her disciple is.
"Noted."
"Mhn, Okay. Go back to your cave now, I'll be cultivating." Gabrielle pinched her soft cheeks before dismissing her.
…
When Serana left the hall, when the door closed, the figure of woman instantly turned into a man. Gabriel looked at the door then sighed as he walked back to his room.
