As they finally reached the bottom of the stairs, Tatsuya's mother greeted them with a warm smile. "Raika, I've prepared a futon for you to sleep on tonight. I hope you find it comfortable," she said, her voice gentle and kind.
Raika nodded, her eyes showing genuine appreciation. "Thank you so much," she said, her voice tinged with gratitude. She watched as Tatsuya's mother started to unfold the futon and lay it on the floor.
Raika quickly stepped forward, her hands outstretched. "No, please, let me do it," she insisted. "You've done so much already. I can handle this."
