Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 - The New Bartender of Marid's Cave (Part 3)

Daemom opened his eyes and looked at the aura covering his entire body with a satisfied gaze. It appeared as a second layer of skin, gently undulating, and had a crimson color like blood.

It took a few days, but Daemom managed to cover his entire body with his demonic energy. All the effort and sweat poured into his training paid off at this moment.

Strong, very strong! That was the feeling Daemom could sense throughout his body. He tested it; with his demonic energy activated, he had several tons of strength. A force that could easily turn a man into a red tomato soup if hit directly.

"Well done, Daemom!" Amara said with an admiring voice, seeing the aura covering Daemom's entire body. Her eyes were extremely excited at that moment.

How many days did it take for Daemom to reach this level? Amara counted and reached a conclusion.

Four days!

Daemom did in four days what a normal demon would take years or perhaps decades to accomplish.

"Daemom, besides improving your control, trying to separate your demonic aura from your body, you need to start discovering your Gift," Amara said with an excited tone, making Daemom frown.

He looked at the crimson aura covering his body, lost in deep thoughts.

What is your Gift?

Daemom thought for a long time, but he didn't reach any conclusion after thinking. He shook his head and sighed; it was impossible for him to discover his Gift this way. He had to experiment, not think.

"Daemom, it's not that difficult to know what your Gift is. You just have to cover something with your demonic aura; the effects your aura shows when it comes into contact with the

object will help you find your path." Seeing his furrowed brows, Amara smiled and stroked his eyebrows, making Daemom relax.

Then she got off the bed and grabbed a piece of paper, climbed back onto the bed, and handed it to Daemom.

"Try with this," Amara said with a confident look.

"Can it be anything?" Daemom looked at the piece of paper and asked with a touch of uncertainty.

"Yes and no, but for now, let's be content with what we have. We can capture an imp later and use it as a test subject." Sitting next to him on the bed, Amara answered casually, her tone very innocent despite the sadistic nature of her words.

Daemom rolled his eyes at her words and was speechless at the innocence with which she could talk about torture and test subjects, even though they were demons in the first place.

Focusing, Daemom looked at the sheet of paper and moved his demonic aura, covering the entire sheet in an instant. Amara, beside him, also watched excitedly.

What followed left him speechless.

Daemom saw the sheet of paper begin to change its shape, transforming into stone, diamonds, gold, water, vapor, and ice, and then simply ceasing to exist the next second.

"Any idea?" Daemom asked with a genuinely confused tone, but one thing he was sure of was that he could manipulate the states of matter, even transforming the paper into stone and gold.

Amara showed an uncertain expression. She opened her mouth to speak, but the next moment, she remained silent, still incredulous at the absurd possibility that had appeared in her mind.

Then, when she finally decided to speak, her voice was full of uncertainty and shock. "The Aspect of Existence."

"Daemom, do you know why God is God?" Amara asked, looking at her brother with a shocked and admiring gaze. Although still uncertain, the likelihood that Daemom was the second being in all of existence to possess power bordering on omnipotence was high.

Without waiting for Daemom's response, Amara answered her own question. "Because God can control existence itself like a child plays with sand."

"Are you saying I can manipulate existence?" Daemom asked, rubbing his forehead. He could already see the number of problems that would come his way if his Gift was confirmed.

"It's quite likely, but we need to do more tests. My power involves the Aspect of War, and I can transmute matter into all kinds of weapons. The Aspect of Existence, on the other hand, can manipulate, transmute, and control any and all existence: time, space, luck, destiny, void, and any other abstract thing you can think of," Amara said, her voice becoming increasingly excited over time.

If confirmed, Daemom wouldn't need to be hunted for long, and those Infernal Dukes would die in a few decades when Daemom grew stronger.

"Don't get excited too quickly. Even if I may have the Aspect of Existence, I don't think it will be easy to train. How many trillions of years did my grandfather train before creating the universe?" Daemom stroked Amara's hair and replied calmly, his voice not nearly as animated as Amara's.

"You should be more excited, Daemom. It's almost certain that you are the second being in all of Creation to inherit God's Power. Not even His Majesty or the Vice-King of Heaven inherited this power from God," Amara said, rolling her eyes. Any other being would be jumping with joy and shouting with excitement, but Daemom seemed like he had received socks from an annoying aunt on his birthday.

It wasn't that Daemom wasn't excited; he was, but there was a very bitter taste in his mouth. Inheriting something from someone who never even cared about him left a somewhat sour taste in his mouth.

He had no doubt that God, his grandfather, knew of his existence, yet He allowed him to live. If there were no conspiracy orchestrated by God, he wouldn't believe it.

This feeling of being manipulated had been on his mind since he began his journey. It was as if someone were skillfully pulling the strings behind a curtain, and he was the puppet.

However, Daemom was not someone who allowed himself to be manipulated; he knew that even the best puppeteers found themselves bound by strings.

"Kill anything that prevents you from reaching your goal. Use the pride, anger, and fury hidden in your heart to become a tyrant."

For some reason, Lucifer's words echoed in Daemom's mind once more.

"Be a tyrant," he murmured to himself, his eyes somewhat cold and calculating. If he needed to kill God to be free, so be it; he would kill God, even if it meant dying in the attempt.

Amara had never seen that look in Daemom's eyes since she had known him, a terribly cold gaze, so cold that there was no emotion in those beautiful blue eyes she loved to admire.

But, for some reason, she felt that Daemom was just showing one of his sides, one he usually didn't show anyone, and this brought a smile to the Daughter of Lilith's lips.

Intertwining her small, delicate fingers with his long, slender ones, Amara spoke in a divinely serious tone. "I don't know what made you so serious, but we will face it together."

"Even if I want to kill God?" Daemom looked deeply into her eyes, not looking into her soul at that moment, a gesture of trust he extended to Amara.

Amara's lips curved into an innocent and somewhat excited smile. "I've always wanted to see Heaven someday!"

Daemom rolled his eyes and pulled Amara into his embrace. He cupped her delicate face in his palm and placed his finger on her lips.

"Do you really want to do something like that?" Daemom asked gently. He knew that if he followed through with his plans, something very important recorded in the Bible would happen because of him.

Amara didn't respond with words; she answered with her actions. Wrapping her arms around Daemom's neck, she looked deeply into his eyes for a moment and then kissed him.

Daemom held her waist firmly and surrendered to the kiss. He no longer needed Amara's verbal answer; her kiss conveyed what she wanted to say.

Let's walk together until the end.

Daemom didn't know what he was feeling at that moment, but it felt very warm and full of an emotion he had never felt before.

An emotion that made him smile despite the dire circumstances they were in.

It didn't matter anymore; the Apocalypse would come so he could be truly free.
