"Your drink, Malika." Zafir placed a Martini in front of Bilqis and stepped back respectfully. His eyes were filled with sincere reverence for the woman before him.
Daemom didn't bother looking at Zafir; his eyes were entirely focused on the woman beside him.
Her skin was dark and smooth, and she had long, curly, and voluminous brown hair cascading over her front and back in a waterfall of silky, lustrous strands. Her face was perfect and delicate, her eyes black as pearls, and her long eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings. Her lips, curved in an elegant and slightly provocative smile, were full and stained with a deep red hue.
She wore an elegant white dress, providing a beautiful contrast to her predominant colors. The dress perfectly delineated her S-shaped curves.
Daemom had to admit, Bilqis was one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen, on par with Amara. Although both were equally stunning, they exuded different types of charm.
As if aware of his gaze, Bilqis brought the glass to her lips and looked at him with narrowed eyes, a sensual smile forming on her lips.
"Where are you from?" Resting his head on his hand, Daemom asked, looking at the woman with a gentle and charming smile.
"Where I come from disappeared long ago into the sands of time." Bilqis replied softly, her black eyes gazing at Daemom with interest. Not many men could resist her charm, especially one so young. "Let's not talk about me; I'm more interested in you.
Crossing her slender and toned legs, she focused her gaze on him, narrowing her eyes sensually. "Let's talk about you."
Swirling the liquid in his glass, Daemom chuckled a few times upon hearing this and smiled, looking provocatively at Bilqis. "Should I interpret that as flirting?" He teased, taking another sip of his Manhattan, the drink growing more delicious with time.
Zafir, not far away, almost wanted to strangle the boy for his audacity to flirt with his queen.
Bilqis wasn't surprised by his words and smiled gracefully. "Interpret it as you wish~"
When Daemom was about to respond, he heard Amara's slightly anxious voice in his mind. "Daemom, she is a Heretical Goddess!"
"Heretical Goddess?" He asked back, confused. Though Heaven and Hell, angels and demons existed, the existence of gods surprised Daemom in a very unexpected way.
"Yes, humans deified by mankind in the past. The faith of humans granted these individuals incredible powers, turning them into deified beings. These are called Heretical Gods." Amara responded, looking cautiously at the incredibly beautiful woman.
"Do you know who she is?" Daemom asked, his eyes growing increasingly curious about the woman. After all, it was the first time he had seen a god, particularly such a beautiful goddess. Daemom finally understood why the woman's soul was so beautiful and dreamlike.
Unlike the filthy, deformed souls of demons or the partially wolf-like souls of werewolves, the soul of the woman before him seemed like a cluster of colorful flames burning with divine beauty.
"Bilqis, the legendary Queen of Sheba, who went to Jerusalem to meet the wise King Solomon, bringing gold and jewels. She was deified by her subjects as the goddess of beauty and sex," Amara answered immediately, leaving no doubt about the woman's identity.
"It makes sense for her to have such charm as the goddess of beauty and sex," Daemom commented with an increasingly intrigued smile. He loved this—the feeling of uncovering hidden secrets. How could he not love it?
The conversation between Amara and Daemom seemed to last a long time, but it was only a few milliseconds in his mind.
"There's nothing interesting about me. I'm just a nothing-special orphan from a small, insignificant town in this vast and dangerous world." Daemom answered Bilqis's question with a slightly humorous and light tone.
Zafir and Bilqis rolled their eyes at the obvious lie. He didn't even bother to come up with a better story to deceive them! Just having a contract with a demon already indicated he was special, and resisting the charm of a goddess of love and sex made it clear he was very special indeed.
"What a stingy man," Bilqis murmured, dissatisfied with the answer, but her smile only deepened. It had been a long time since someone had lied to her, especially a man.
Looking sharply at Daemom, Zafir turned to Bilqis and spoke in a concerned tone. "Malika, there have been many reports of demons in the city. I've never seen such a large number of them—there were at least fifty imps, not counting the lower and mid-ranking demons."
There was deep bitterness in Zafir's voice. He didn't want demons in his territory, but he didn't dare go against them, not when such a large number of them were hiding in the city. If there was one thing all pantheons had learned through their long existence, it was not to mess with the Biblical Pantheon, especially the Omnipotent and Omniscient One. The last flood almost wiped out all the Heretical Gods.
If it weren't for God's mercy, all humans would have been killed, and along with humanity, all the Heretical Gods. Even so, 99% of the gods perished in the last flood.
Although Hell wasn't as strong as Heaven, Lucifer Morningstar was one of the most powerful beings in the universe, second only to his father—God. No one dared to go against the Father of All Evil, not even the most powerful pantheons of today.
Bilqis frowned upon hearing this and let out a tired sigh. "Let them do what they want, as long as they don't destroy the city," she said with a touch of indifference. She didn't care about the demons' purpose, as long as they didn't endanger her worshippers.
If that were the case, she wouldn't hesitate to kill all the demons, regardless of what Hell might say afterward. Her old friend Solomon had taught her many tricks to deal with infernal beings.
Zafir nodded with an obviously relieved expression and proceeded to prepare drinks for other customers arriving at the bar.
Bilqis took a sip of her Martini, then her eyes fell upon the pink snake. She narrowed her eyes and glanced briefly at Daemom.
Shape-shifting might seem like a common ability, but it wasn't. Apart from metamorphs, who could transform into any appearance, only high-level magic and gods with similar abilities could transform into a specific animal.
A high-level demon and a human suddenly appeared in the city, along with the arrival of numerous demons. No matter how much she thought about it, it was too much of a coincidence in her eyes.
Bilqis looked at Daemom with slight suspicion but remained silent. One thing she had learned over the millennia, which saved her from many headaches, was to stay out of other people's affairs. Nothing good ever came from involving oneself in others' matters.
She had seen countless humans and gods die out of sheer curiosity, so over the centuries, she had learned to control her feelings about it. However, her curiosity about Daemom only deepened. Who was he? Why were so many demons seeking him?
Rising from her stool, Bilqis walked on her high heels to an empty table, her perfectly shaped butt swaying with her movements, accentuated by the tight dress.
Zafir's and Daemom's eyes unconsciously fell upon the spectacular sight. There was no way not to look; even Daemom couldn't help but appreciate the breathtaking view.
