"I am Damian, and this is my twin brother, Devin; I'm the older brother, by the way!" Damian snorted, clearly trying to tick Devin off. Devin, staring at Damian's wide grin and feeling a hint of annoyance, mumbles, "By only 2 minutes."
"What was that little bro!?" Damian said almost yelling.
This struck a nerve as the students in the class that they were currently introducing themselves to started to whisper.
If it weren't for Devin's dark skin, his face would have turned a slight shade of red from embarrassment.
Devin, eager to seek shelter from so many eyes, quickly reintoduced himself: "Hi, my name is Devin; I'm sure you heard from that loud-mouth brother of mine. I look forward to learning and cooperating with you all."
Following his "little" brothers lead, Damian reintroduces himself and says, "And my name is Damian Melio!" The class gives the airhead a blank stare.
The teacher, Mr. Bulac, directed the twin brothers to their desks; they were seated right beside each other. Upon seeing this, Devin released an audible sigh.
'Why do I have to be seated next to this idiot' Devin thought with a grimace on his face.
After being seated, Mr. Bulac began speaking, "I hope you all will make our transfer students feel like they never even transferred. Alright, class, let's begin."

Damian glaced to his right to see his brother looking at the sky as they walked home
"What did you think of our first day."
"You ruined it with your stupid loud-mouth." Devin teased.
"Keep talking like that and you'll have a fist flying at your face" Damian taunted.
Devin glaced at Damian
"You're all bark no bi-"
Damian launched his fist at his brother's face
Devin dodged with relative ease.
"You wanna go?" Hissed Devin.
"Why not!" Yelled Damian.
After 30 minutes of fighting, there was no victor, only two sets of dirty school uniforms.
The twins finally went home, and they were greeted with a hug from their little sister, Ava.
The only time Damian and Devin got along was during hug time with Ava, which was just a three-way hug between the siblings.
The smell of a home-cooked meal permeated the air almost invited the twins into the kitchen, where they saw their mother cooking and their father watching T.V. in the living room still wearing his work clothes.
Devin and Damian were smiling at the sight, until a blinding light enveloped both twins' vision. Both the twins bodies fell limp, void of any consciousness, and both their pupils glowed a bright white light.
*THUMP* *THUMP*
Thier bodies hit the floor.
At the sight of this, Charlotte and Arthur, the mother and father of the two brothers, rushed to the boys while Ava cried. Once the initial shock left them, the parents instantly knew what this was, their eyes were a dead giveaway, they had been taken to Echo.
What they didn't know was that the twins had not been taken there naturally, like most, but forced their by [Fissure].

Echo is another plane of existence governed by an authority beyond even the gods. This being has a lot of names, but the one most common was [The First]. Not much is known about Echo, let alone [The First].
All that is known about them is that they bestow each person that enters Echo with an ability. The ability is essentially a system that tells you how strong you are and how close you're to advancing a "level".
[The First] rarely intervene much more than that.

"W-what... where are we." mumbles Damian looking around to see a vast plain of emerald green grass, and the not yet awakened Devin beside him.
Damian shook Devin awake, waking at a gasp and looking around, even the usually collected Devin was at a loss for words stupor written on his face.
They sat there frozen for what seemed like minutes, until a voice shook them out of their daze. It seemed like this voice planted directly into their minds.
[Welcome to Echo; it is essential that you invoke the system to survive here.]
"What? System?" The twins said in unison.
The System seemingly answered them [To invoke the system, just think of the word "System".]
The twins subconsciously thought the word and a display appeared in front of them

'So we're in Echo, I can't believe this I've heard hundred of storie about this place most of death... but some of power.' Devins thoughts trailed
"Get up we can't stay here it's dangerous, if this is really Echo we cant stay still" Damian spoke in a demanding tone.
Devin complied, and they started walking in a random direction.
Then Damian immediately throwing away the mature and authoritative attitude he just had, back tracked to the system "HEYYYYY HELLOOO"• Damian screamed using the weak telepathy.
"AH!! WHAT THE FUCK!" Devin yelled.
Staring at his brother with a cheeky grin Damian said without moving his lips "Look at the system idiot"•.
Devin still shook up from thier situation yelled using the telepathy "I ALREADY KNEW ABOUT THE TELEPATHY DIPSHIT"•.
"Oh. My bad." Damian whispered hiding an embarrassed smile.

Using the telepathy to speak the brothers discussed their situation and what to do.
"I thought you could only enter echo if you accepted an invitation sent through your dreams"• Damian thought.
"Me too, but I guess our situation is special, I mean we've even been blessed by some entity, that must mean something."• Devin responded.
Damain released a heavy sigh.
"Speaking of that blessing, it's kind of ominous isn't it"•.
Devin turn his head facing his brother.
"Yeah it creeps me out, Who is Fissure, and why did they bless us, better yet are they the ones that put us here"•.
Before the conversation could continue the twins both felt a cold shiver run down their spine.
With their unnaturally high awareness it would be stupid to just brush this feeling off.
Frozen in place from this sudden presence they were feeling. They slowly turned around but saw nothing. They were sure they were being observed and being in a grassy plain there was nowhere to hide, so they looked up and saw nothing still.
That left one more place to be checked, the ground. Right as this thought had emerged, a little green thing jumped from a divet in the ground.
Almost completely camouflaged this green thing that resembled a flea but the size of a coyote ambushed the brothers... if you could call it an ambush...
They stomped it to death.
Damain stared blankly at the green flea looking things corpse.
"That's what cause such a heavy feeling?"•.
Devin feeling itchy from looking at the giant insect looking beast turned away.
"It sure had some guts to just jump at two beings multiple times it's size"•.
Suddenly the System whispered.
"You have killed [Grass Plain Pest]".
