"Here are the papers," he pushed it to her. She picked it up and went through it.
"Can I take a look?" Li Qiang asked.
Manager Xu gaped at him, his mouth wide open in surprise.
"Thank you," Xin Yan was grateful as she handed the papers to him.
Manager Xu heaved a sigh of relief. Thankfully, he used his brains and did not follow his heart while preparing the contract.
Li Qiang skimmed through the contents of the papers and he nodded.
"You can sign it, it's okay," he handed the papers back to her and she swiftly signed it.
"I will be keeping this with me, expect the money to be sent tomorrow, that's for keeping me waiting," Xin Yan was firm as she didn't bother with him anymore.
He heaved a sigh before leaving her office. Again, he couldn't help but blame his choices. He was really wrong.
"Manager Xu," he suddenly heard his name being called. As to who called him, he was very familiar with the voice.
He turned as he fixed his gaze on the person who had called him. It was Yuan Renshu.
"Manager Xu, are you really resigning?" He inquired, his hands in his pockets.
"Yes I am, I have also sold my shares to her, listen to me child, it's best you don't go against her, she has the backing of both the Xins and the Lis, just the Xins alone can crush you but now, the Lis are also involved," Manager Xu tried to convince him.
He knew if Yuan Renshu continued with what he was planning, then he was destined to lose. He didn't want such a situation to happen.
"Manager Xu, I have come too far to give up, I will do as I please and once I take over this company, I will make you return gloriously," Yuan Renshu vowed seriously.
'This child,' Manager Xu shook his head in pity. He really didn't know how he was going to explain it to this rash man but he only hoped he didn't make a mistake.
"Yuan Renshu, listen to me, I'm older than you are and I have seen many things in this life, your actions are not worth it," he paused as he wondered if he should continue.
But nevertheless, he did, "my family and I would be leaving to a new country, I won't be able to keep my eyes on you, protect yourself."
With these words, Manager Xu left the company, never to return.
Yuan Renshu fixed his eyes on his retreating back and he clenched his fists tightly. His eyes turned red with anger.
"I'll kill her," he snarled as his breathing turned heavy.
"And do you think I'll give you the chance to do that?" He suddenly heard a voice and he snapped his head towards the source immediately.
"You!" He pointed to the person as he gasped.
"You weren't expecting to see me, isn't it?" A smile appeared on the person's face as he basked in Yuan Renshu's discomfort.
"Li Qiang, what are you doing here?" He questioned as he tried to stabilise his breathing.
Yes, he was affected by Li Qiang's presence. He didn't know how but Li Qiang just had this aura which made people want to subconsciously bow to him. It was nerve-wracking.
He clenched and unclenched his fists in order to maintain a stance against him but his knees were weak. He didn't want to admit it but he could not deny that he didn't hold a candle to Li Qiang.
"You are asking me why I am here? How do you expect me to reply to that?" Li Qiang was efficient in exchanging words.
"Alright, I will reply to you just because you asked me to, I'm here with my fiancee, she brought me over," a satisfied smile appeared on his lips at his successful attempt on being able to rile him up.
"I really don't know what's wrong with men of these days," Li Qiang pretended to have an exasperated look on his face.
Yuan Renshu's instinct was telling him to leave but because of his stubbornness, he stayed behind.
"What do you mean?" He couldn't help but feel that Li Qiang was about to insult him.
"The thing is some men actually have diamond in their hands but they end up throwing it just to go for wood, it's a pity," Li Qiang clicked his tongue in disgust.
"Say what you want to say and stop beating around the bush," Yuan Renshu understood what his words meant but right now, anger had clouded his mind.
"What I mean to say is that you, Yuan Renshu, are stupid enough to leave Xin Yan and go for a lady of low-class, it makes me doubt your taste," the look in Li Qiang's eyes was becoming increasingly cold.
"But then again, I have to thank you, if it weren't for you, I won't be able to get married to the woman I love, thank you for being foolish," there was a smirk dancing on Li Qiang's lips.
No doubt, he had riled him up successfully. Now it was time for him to sit back and watch him make a fool out of himself.
"Don't you think this picture look absolutely good? After all, Xin Yan is very gorgeous," Li Qiang fishes out his phone from his pocket as he showed his wallpaper to him.
It was the picture of both he and Xin Yan earlier on.
"Don't we think we look good together? Forget it if you don't want to respond, your opinions are not needed after all, but then again, I still need to show my appreciation."
Li Qiang was an expert in making people angry and the most funny part was that he could say all these without a change in his expression. It probably wasn't wrong for Xin Yan to have called him shameless earlier on.
"President Li, you don't have to go all out for an arranged marriage," Yuan Renshu smirked with derision.
Li Qiang let out a dry chuckle. He knew most people could still not come to terms that he was getting married to Xin Yan, hence they could only attribute it to be an arranged marriage.
"I hate to burst your bubble but it isn't an arranged marriage, yes, Yanyan might not be in love with me but I'm very much in love with her, I have been in love with her ever since I laid my eyes on her when we were children."
Li Qiang had a bright look on his face as he recalled the day he had met Xin Yan, just the day before he moved out of the country.
Li Qiang and Yuan Renshu were not aware of the fact that someone had witnessed Li Qiang's confession.
