Lucille's POV
The party was slightly ruined. Some of the guests choose to go home, which is in favor of me.
I feel uncomfortable talking and socializing with these noble people and officials.
My instinct was also warning me to stay away from certain individuals. I sipped my wine and sighed deeply.
I saw a woman walking closer in my direction. I have a bad feeling about her. I've chosen to keep myself as distant as possible.
"How nice that you're wearing an engagement ring while I've waited for years... for nothing," she asserts the last two words.
I look at her from head to toe. That's how I show my dominance rather than letting her do it first. I raise my left palm and wiggle my fingers, smiling.
"Are you trying to provoke me? Oh please. That will never work," she stated. I softly chuckled.
