Chapter 67 - Reconcile

Kalix Noah's POV

I wasn't expecting how Kassandra handled my brother and her shameless side as well. She really showed them that she was not someone they could mock.

She doesn't need to use her physical strength to show them how powerful she is. Her words were more lethal than her martial arts. I place my hand on my wife's head.

"Look who's talking proudly. I'm not the one who can't perform, silly," I whispered.

She snaps her fingers. "Don't worry. My hips are fine!"

That made me laugh more. She smiled widely. "I knew it. You are more beautiful when you laugh sincerely," she says.

I grab the boxes and hold her hand. We start leaving the gazebo. "Have you ever attended any festivals here in the capital? Any of the seasonal festivals?" I ask.

She shakes her head. I guess living in the borderlands deprives her of the peace her family was protecting. I stopped walking.
