Kassandra's POV
My family hangs on and tells me their last words of affirmation and wishes. They all want me to be happy and find the light, even if they're no longer with me.
My husband was hugging me tightly while brushing my hair. Prince Kalix didn't say anything.
He is just there, comforting me. That's all I wanted from him.
I calmed myself a moment later. She lifts her mask a bit and sheds her tears.
"Did you dress up like your big brother, duchess? I still remember what she said to me. She told me that her beloved visited her and told her his last words before he left. She thought it was all just a dream!"
I simply smiled bitterly. "I want her to know that my big brother loves her. No matter what her condition is, she'll always be her one and only woman," I stated.
I wonder if she's smiling. I let go of my husband and raised my hand.
