Kassandra's POV
Annie checks the second chiffon to see if I made it right this time. The first one was as hard as rock, and it was also as dark as coal.
I can't let my husband eat that. She shakes her head. "It's softer, but it's not suitable for cake, duchess. Let's do it one more time. I know you can do it!" she says, raising his hands and cheering on me.
I smiled and nodded. The servants in the kitchen were watching us and just keeping their mouths shut.
"I also want to make cheese bread stuffed with chocolate. The duke seems to like that kind of bread," I whispered.
They look at each other. Arida speaks. "Then do it. Annie has the patience to teach you. You can have tea together after that," she says. Annie smiled and nodded.
"I will help you with that also, your majesty. Let's try the chiffon again. I knew you could do it this time," she says.
