Kalix Noah's POV
I look at Axel and give him a warning. He sighed and looked me in the eyes. "Our beloved general, she's been practicing her skills in using guns and arrows, even if she's still recuperating. She's always been the most stubborn patient of mine, even when we're still on the border," he reported. I turn around and look at my wife madly.
"Let me explain," she says, laughing a little.
I lower my head and let her see how mad I am. "Didn't we agree with something, aren't we, grand duchess? Have you forgotten your promise already, hmm?" I growled.
She was about to look at Axel when I held her chin. "Look at me and stop glaring at your subordinates. You will be recuperating properly, or else I'll punish you to death. Are we clear?"
She averts her eyes. "Yes, sir…" she whispers.
"I can't hear you, Escalante," I roared. Her lips were trembling, but she chose to look me in the eyes.
