Arnold's POV
I look at Lucille as he eats as slowly as the snail moves. I sighed and put down my utensils.
I stood up and grabbed her in my arms. She wraps her hand around my shoulder and balances herself while sitting on my arms.
We walk closer to the railings. She looks at the ocean, which is surrounded by lanterns and boats that couples were using for their dates. It's lively and beautiful.
"I know you are worried for your people, but Dad promised me that we will take care of it starting tomorrow. Trust us," I remarked.
She turns around and looks at me in the eyes. "I'm sorry for making things worse. I don't want the citizens to suffer. We have a thousand people to evacuate around 717 families," she says.
I nodded. I wrapped my hands around her and made her lean on me.
