I shed my tears and tried not to show it to my siblings, especially to my parents.
I shut myself down for the whole month and deprived myself of proper meals and sleep.
I've been working my neck until the pain would numb my mind, heart, and body. Arida and Axel arrived two weeks ago.
After Arida and Alex told us what happened that night, they stayed for a week to recuperate. They went back to the borderland to help with the search and rescue.
She said they'd stay here for a week and head back again. No one from the Escalante had given up to their general.
They knew from the bottom of their hearts that Kassandra was still alive.
That's what my heart tells me, but as time went by, I became frustrated and worried that she was having a hard time surviving wherever she was.
