The cool night air in the academy's hallways felt different than during the day. Anna walked slowly, hugging herself in an attempt to counter the fever still lingering in her body.
'It's so cold…' Anna thought, struggling to keep herself from shivering.
Though darkness enveloped much of the area, magical torches strategically placed along the walls cast a warm, flickering glow.
Even so, Anna couldn't help feeling a little lost. The academy, with its labyrinthine corridors and towering ceilings, still felt overwhelming. Every hallway looked the same, and her distracted thoughts weren't helping.
'This place is a headache,' Anna thought irritably as she turned into yet another corridor.
