Anna watched the back-and-forth between Nina and the boy with the blue insignia out of the corner of her eye. Their voices echoed throughout the room, but she could barely focus on their words.
Her mind was stuck on the image of the black cauldron and the awful smell wafting from the failed potion.
This entire mess… was her fault.
Finally, driven by a need to understand, Anna turned to Nina and spoke softly but with determination.
"Nina… can you repeat what I did wrong? But this time… with more detail, please."
Nina, surprised by the interruption, shifted her attention to Anna. Her expression, tense from the argument with the boy, softened at Anna's eager gaze.
