As the teacher carefully examined Anna's notebook, some of her classmates in line began to grow impatient. The initial whispers were quiet, but gradually grew louder.
"Why is it taking so long?" one boy at the end of the line grumbled, crossing his arms in frustration.
"It seems the teacher is checking it thoroughly," a girl next to him replied, sighing. "It's like he wants to scold her…"
Another voice joined the murmurs.
"I've been waiting half the class! This is ridiculous."
Anna tried to stay focused on what the teacher was doing, but the growing noise around her made it difficult. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the teacher closed her notebook and handed it back with a stern look.
"Next time, make sure you bring everything you need to class," he warned in a firm tone. "I won't tolerate any more carelessness."
Anna nodded quickly, relieved that the review was finally over.
"Yes, professor. Thank you."
