Karim parked the car and turned to face me, the intensity of his gaze locking me in place.
He got out of car and opened my side door and helped me out. "You're racing."
I pointed at myself, incredulous. "Me??"
"You love racing," he said simply, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
"I do, but…" My words trailed off as he continued.
"And the track is all yours tonight."
I still didn't fully comprehend what he was saying. "What…? Really?"
Karim stepped closer, the warmth of his body radiating against mine. "You love racing, so I brought you here Princess. Just because you're in my country doesn't mean you have to feel restricted. I know things are difficult, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy your life. I will do anything to give you the life you deserve, Princess."
Emotion flooded through me, and I felt tears prick at the corners of my eyes.
