Chapter 36 - 36. Are You Really Not In Your Prime?

(Bonus Chapter for 125 Powerstones, Guys Give me your stones, Let's Try the Top 30!)

Sora grinned and handed over the bracer. Hiruzen slipped it on and channelled a bit of chakra into it. The display flickered to life, showing the Hokage's stats:

- Chakra Control: 1200

- Strength: 510 (900)

- Speed: 390 (600)

- Stamina: 490

- Endurance/Body Defense: 340(570)

- Chakra Amount: 1600

- Reflexes: 800

Sora's jaw dropped. He knew the old man was strong, but seeing it quantified like this was something else entirely. "Holy ramen noodles, Jiji! Are you sure you're out of your prime? Because those numbers are screaming 'I can still kick everyone's butt and have energy left for tea'!"

Hiruzen chuckled a hint of pride in his voice. "Well, I may not be as spry as I once was, but I daresay I can still hold my own. Though I must admit, seeing it laid out like this is rather... enlightening."

"No kidding," Sora muttered, still in awe. "Remind me never to steal your hat directly. I'll stick to my sneaky methods."

The Hokage's eyes twinkled with amusement. "A wise decision. Now then, what sort of reward did you have in mind for this impressive creation?"

Sora's grin turned mischievous. "Oh, nothing much. Just a few S-rank missions on my record ought to do it."

Hiruzen nearly choked on his pipe. "S-rank missions? Sora, you're an academy student! You'd be the first six-year-old in history to have S-rank missions on their record before even becoming a genin!"

"Exactly!" Sora beamed. "Think of how cool that would be! Plus, it's not like anyone outside the village would believe it anyway. It's perfect!"

The Hokage sighed, shaking his head in fond exasperation. "You drive a hard bargain, young man. Very well, I'll see what I can do. But in return, I want a dozen of these bracers for testing purposes."

"Deal!" Sora exclaimed, pulling out a scroll and unsealing a stack of bracers. "I've got them right here. Just give me after a week to collect the data, okay?"

Hiruzen nodded. "Agreed. I'll have some of my ANBU use them in their training as well. The more diverse the data, the better."

As Sora turned to leave (through the window, naturally), Hiruzen called out, "Oh, and Sora? Try not to cause too much chaos with these, will you?"

Sora flashed his most innocent smile, which didn't reassure the Hokage in the slightest. "Who, me? Chaos? Never!"

With that, he leapt out the window, leaving behind a chuckling Hokage and a stack of neglected paperwork.

As Sora bounded across the rooftops of Konoha, his mind raced with possibilities. "Now, who should I test these on first? Ooh, I know! Team 7 is always good for a laugh!"

With a mischievous grin, he changed course, heading towards Training Ground 7.

Sora arrived at Training Ground 7 to find Team 7 in their usual state - waiting for their perpetually tardy sensei. Naruto was loudly complaining about Kakashi's lateness, Sasuke was brooding silently against a tree, and Sakura was alternating between agreeing with Naruto and stealing glances at Sasuke.

"Yo, Team 7!" Sora called out, dropping from a nearby tree. "How's the waiting game going?"

"Sora!" Naruto exclaimed, his face lighting up. "Thank goodness you're here! We're dying of boredom!"

Sasuke merely grunted in acknowledgment, while Sakura offered a polite "Hello, Sora-kun."

"Well, lucky for you, I've got just the thing to liven up your day," Sora grinned, holding up a handful of bracers. "Who wants to be a guinea pig for my latest invention?"

Naruto's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Ooh, me! Me! Is it a new jutsu? A super-cool weapon? A ramen-summoning technique?"

"Even better," Sora declared dramatically. "It's... a stat tracker!"

There was a moment of silence as the team processed this information.

"A... stat tracker?" Sakura repeated, sounding sceptical.

"Yep! It measures your raw abilities and displays them numerically. Want to see?"

Despite their initial hesitation, curiosity won out. Even Sasuke looked interested, though he tried to hide it.

"I'll go first!" Naruto volunteered, practically bouncing with excitement.

Sora handed him a bracer, explaining how to activate it. Naruto slipped it on, channelled some chakra, and watched in awe as his stats appeared:

- Chakra Control: 96

- Strength: 180 (210)

- Speed: 140 (170)

- Stamina: 390

- Endurance/Body Defense: 210 (390)

- Chakra Amount: 400,000

- Reflexes: 180

There was a moment of stunned silence as they all stared at the 'Chakra Amount' stat.

Sasuke was the first to break the silence. "What's the standard range for genin, chunin, and jounin?"

Sora, still gaping at Naruto's chakra reserves, took a moment to respond. "Uh, well, generally genin are around 100-200, chunin 200-400, and jounin 400-600 for most stats, the ones in brackets are after Passive Chakra Enhancement."

"Then that thing must be broken," Sasuke declared, pointing at Naruto's chakra amount.

"Hey!" Naruto protested. "Maybe I'm just super awesome!"

Sora shook his head, coming out of his daze. "No, no, it's not broken. The Hokage-jiji himself verified its accuracy. Naruto, you've got more chakra than most jounin! Heck, you've got more chakra than the Hokage!"

Naruto's eyes widened comically. "Really? I'm that awesome? Believe it!"

Sasuke scoffed. "Let me try it. I bet mine will make more sense."

Sora handed him another bracer, and soon Sasuke's stats were displayed:

- Chakra Control: 290

- Strength: 150 (215)

- Speed: 130 (180)

- Stamina: 220

- Endurance/Body Defense: 150 (230)

- Chakra Amount: 300

- Reflexes: 190(250)

Sasuke frowned at his chakra amount. "This can't be right. How can the dobe have that much more chakra than me?"

Sora shrugged. "Hey, don't look at me. I just invented the thing; I don't decide the stats. But look on the bright side - your other stats are pretty solid for a genin. You're even pushing into chunin territory in some areas!"

This seemed to mollify Sasuke somewhat, though he still cast suspicious glances at Naruto's bracer.

"My turn!" Sakura said, reaching for a bracer. Her stats appeared:

- Chakra Control: 330

- Strength: 110 (140)

- Speed: 101 (140)

- Stamina: 89

- Endurance/Body Defense: 80 (110)

- Chakra Amount: 90

- Reflexes: 105

"Wow, Sakura-chan!" Naruto exclaimed. "Your chakra control is amazing!"

Sakura smiled at the compliment, but inwardly she felt a twinge of embarrassment. The numbers confirmed what she had suspected since the Wave mission - she was the weakest link in Team 7.

Sora, sensing her discomfort, quickly spoke up. "Hey, that chakra control is seriously impressive, Sakura. You're already at the chunin level there! With control like that, you could probably master some really complex jutsu if you put your mind to it."

Sakura perked up a bit at this. "You really think so?"

"Absolutely! In fact..." Sora paused dramatically, "I might have a few ideas for techniques that would be perfect for someone with your level of control. How do you feel about genjutsu or Iryo-ninjutsu?"

Before Sakura could respond, a puff of smoke announced the arrival of their perpetually late sensei.

"Yo!" Kakashi eye-smiled, raising a hand in greeting. "Sorry I'm late. I got lost on the path of life and-"

"LIAR!" Naruto and Sakura shouted in unison.

Kakashi blinked, noticing Sora. "Oh? We have a visitor today?"

Sora grinned, holding up a bracer. "More like a delivery, Kakashi-sensei. Want to try out my latest invention?"

Intrigued, Kakashi accepted the bracer and slipped it on. As his stats appeared, the genin crowded around to see:

- Chakra Control: 969

- Strength: 810 (1100)

- Speed: 990 (1300)

- Stamina: 710

- Endurance/Body Defense: 679

- Chakra Amount: 500

- Reflexes: 870

There was a collective gasp from the genin. Even Sasuke looked impressed.

"K-Kakashi-sensei," Sakura stammered, "your stats are incredible!"

Naruto nodded vigorously. "Yeah! You're way above jounin level in almost everything!"

Kakashi rubbed the back of his head, looking slightly embarrassed. "Maa, maa, it's not that impressive. I'm sure there are plenty of shinobi with better stats."

Sora snorted. "Sure, if by 'plenty' you mean 'maybe a handful in the entire village'. Face it, Kakashi-sensei, you're a beast."

Just as the team's respect for their sensei was reaching new heights, Kakashi pulled out his ever-present orange book and giggled perversely at something he read. The genin's expressions immediately shifted from awe to disappointment.

Sora couldn't help but laugh at the sudden mood whiplash. "Well, I guess even super-ninja have their quirks. Anyway, I should get going. I've got more bracers to deliver and data to collect!"

As he turned to leave, Sora paused. "Oh, and Team 7? Thanks for being my guinea pigs. Use those bracers well, and who knows? Maybe next time I see you, those numbers will be even higher!"

With a cheeky salute, Sora bounded off, leaving behind a thoughtful Team 7 and a still-giggling Kakashi.

As he roof-hopped towards his next destination, Sora couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. If these were the kinds of stats he was seeing from just one team, what other surprises awaited him?

"Next stop, Team 8," he muttered to himself. "I wonder what kind of stats a Hyuga, an Inuzuka, and an Aburame will have?"

With a grin, he picked up his pace. The day was still young, and there were plenty more stats to uncover in the Village Hidden in the Leaves.
