Chapter 127 - 126. Uchiha and Cats

(PS pwease......)

"Hey, now, I was busy lately," Sora said while turning around and looking at the familiar red-eyed figure.

"Is that so?" The cloaked figure had removed his cloak and now had three tomoe rotating very quickly in his red eyes.

It was none other than the last Uchiha loyal to Konoha.

Sasuke Uchiha.

"If we talk about you, you've definitely improved tremendously. Just three months ago, I would have easily defeated you," Sora said, not pausing under the other party's glare.

"Still, you easily defeated me without even breaking a sweat," Sora paused and inspected Sasuke to see if there was any sweat on him.

Sasuke just sweatdropped. "It seems some things, like you being an idiot, don't change."

"Hehe, I guess," Sora wasn't even a tiny bit embarrassed—talk about having thick skin.

"So, what were you up to in the last three months? I saw yours and Team 10's missing posters. We even went to the Land of Hot Springs to find you guys, but it was like all your traces disappeared or something," Sasuke suspiciously looked at Sora.

"Hehe, it's a long story. The other person I sensed should be Kakashi, right? I'll explain everything together." Sasuke nodded, and they both started walking towards where Team 10 was.

"Also, that cat..." Sasuke looked at Sasera. He was surprised that the cat had blocked his sword effortlessly, but he was internally shocked by something else, too.

"Oh, this is Sasera. She's a special cat." The cat in question meowed and raised her head proudly, looking down at the lowly humans from her throne.

She looked at Sasuke—no, more specifically, at his eyes.

'My Mangekyo was reacting to her earlier for some reason. This cat is unusual,' Sasuke pondered.

Then Sasuke paused and bonked Sora on the head.

"What the hell was that for?" Sora asked, holding his head.

The cat had transferred to his shoulder beforehand, so she was unharmed.

"Why the heck did you attack me as soon as you saw me? I don't think I would have fought you if you hadn't attacked me first," Sasuke reprimanded the kid.

"Well, you were in a cloak and all, plus you were in the Uzumaki Clan's ruins. So, I thought you guys were probably up to something nefarious. Plus, my instincts were telling me you were dangerous, so I thought I'd beat you first and make you talk later," Sora said shamelessly.

"And look where that got you. If I were somebody else, you'd be dead by now." Sasuke sighed. Why was Sora even made a Chunin directly? Kids like him shouldn't be given the title of ninja so early, especially Sora, who lacked maturity.

Then again, someone might argue that Naruto was the same.

Sasuke couldn't disagree with that.

Naruto definitely shouldn't be sent on a solo mission.

He would probably die before even reaching the mission objective.

It wasn't funny to Sasuke.

"Anyway, that was still uncharacteristic of you. You all seem unusually tense for some reason," Sasuke had noticed long before but decided to tell Sora directly.

"Oh, is that so? I guess the last mission did put us on edge." Sora took a deep breath and changed his body language and expression.

"Now, how is it?" Sora asked.

"Yeah, now I can't tell that you're tense," Sasuke said, unimpressed, already knowing that Sora had a habit of putting on a façade much like him, not showing emotions much, since those things matter in a ninja battle.

"So, what was that defensive jutsu you—or more specifically, your clone—used earlier in the mist? Also, now that I look closely, your chakra reserves have increased tremendously. What's the secret?" Sora elbowed Sasuke.

"Well, I just trained harder," Sasuke said expressionlessly.

"Hmph, if you don't want to tell me, just say so. No need to be so vague with your words." Sora huffed and acted like an Uchiha.

The Uchiha in question rolled his eyes.

Well, that definitely won't make him give away any information.

"Well, about the jutsu—it was Chidori, actually," Sasuke said, deciding to reveal some less important information.

"What?" Sora tripped and fell face-first on the ground, trying to process the information.

"Oh, so instead of concentrating it on one part, you discharge it from all the tenketsu of your body, right?" Sora got up and started walking, pretending he hadn't just fallen.

"No," Sasuke seemed to be in the mood to mess with Sora.

Sora almost fell again. "Wait, so how is it different?"

"Well, it's similar to what you said, I guess. Hmm, let's see. Check this out." Sasuke stopped walking, and Sora did the same.

Sasuke stomped on the ground.

In the next instant, Sora's eyes widened, and he jumped back.

The spot where he had been standing exploded with lightning that shot towards the sky.

Much like a water geyser—but with lightning.

"Whoa, no hand seals?"

"Yeah," Sasuke smirked.

"Hmm, I guess, during the concentration process, you're extending it in a stream or beam-like shape and then releasing it. Plus, this isn't coming from your hand but from any part of your body where a major tenketsu is located." Sora summarized his observations.

"Yeah, that's more or less what I'm doing, I guess." Sasuke shrugged and started walking again.

"Cool! What else can you do? I can see the shape transformation in this jutsu. I bet you've made Chidori variants with heavy shape transformation."

Sasuke smirked.

He made a hand seal, and countless electrical senbon aimed at Sora.

They were slow, which Sora knew was intentional.

He weaved hand seals and fired water senbon, neutralizing Sasuke's attack.

"You ripped off my jutsu!" Sora accused.

"I don't know what you mean. There's obviously a difference: yours are made of water, and mine are made of lightning." Sasuke smirked—more like a Uchiha smirk.

Sora looked at him incredulously.

Since when had he learned to joke?

Sasuke glared at him.

"What?" Sora played dumb and asked. Sasuke shouldn't be able to hear his thoughts, right?

"You were definitely thinking that I can't make jokes, weren't you?"

'Can he really read minds?' Sora wondered.

"No."

Sora felt a sense of déjà vu for some reason. 'Let's see, I should think of something else. Maybe Sasuke will marry Sakura.'

Sora then looked at Sasuke. It seemed the latter really couldn't read his thoughts.

"You were thinking about me and Sakura, weren't you?" Sasuke deadpanned at Sora.

"Whoa, can you really read my mind?" Sora felt like his innermost privacy was being violated.

"No, I can't. You're just too predictable," Sasuke's argument did little to ease Sora's suspicious gaze.

Even Sasera was suspiciously looking at Sasuke.

"Anyway, check this out." Sasuke raised his hand.

Sora only saw a flash of blue aimed above his head.

He felt Sasera jump off his head.

Looking behind him, Sora saw a lot of holes in the trees, rocks—anything in the path of the blue beam.

"Whoa, that seems too destructive and fast. Is that the ranged version of Chidori?" Sora asked, already thinking of how this jutsu could be created.

"Yeah."

"Also, you didn't really have to aim that thing near my head. I think it would have grazed Sasera's fur if she hadn't jumped," Sora said, realizing how dangerous the jutsu had been. If it had been aimed at his head, there was a 90% chance he would've died on the spot.

Talk about dangerous.

"I wanted to test the cat's instincts, but what she did was definitely conscious. She perceived my attack and chose to jump," Sasuke commented, looking at the cat, who was now glaring at him.

"Really? She was able to perceive that?" Sora looked at Sasera, amazed.

Was she able to do that because of the orb? Or was it her own abilities? The cat seemed more mysterious to Sora than what Kakashi hid under his mask.

"Anyway, we should hurry up. Let's not keep the others waiting," Sora stated, and all three headed towards the cart.

Well, Sasera was back on Sora's head.

Talk about lazy cats.

"Wait, wasn't the Uchiha Clan contracted to a family or clan of cats?" Sora asked Sasuke.

"Yeah, they still are," Sasuke corrected him.

"Wait, do you have cat summons?" Sora was shocked. He hadn't expected Sasuke to have cat summons.

Were the cats also arrogant like him? Maybe like Sasera.

He imagined dozens of Sasera-like cats staring at him. He shivered for some reason.

Sasera was also looking at the Uchiha.

She was wondering if she would get some servants if that were really the case.

A/n- I really have the urge to write a Black Clover Fanfic but have so many responsibilities 😭, I will probably write a new fic in December, Choose - BC or Naruto?

Lol , also for those who don't know, my first fic was a Black clover fic (you can still find it on my profile), I have not corrected it's grammar (or have I, Idr), but the initial plot and combat scenes were really good, along with world building, so do check that out if you have the skill of ignoring grammatical errors and stuff.
